I try to do something without my phone. If it’s go on a walk or sit on the porch, you see and feel so much more when you don’t have the phone easy to grab. The time spent is much more enjoyable.
Almost every evening, I take a relaxing bath before bedtime. It’s a way to wind down my day and it brings me to the mindset that it’s time to rest. Rarely do I forgo this. My family even acknowledges this routine and kindly asks before they possibly occupy the bathroom. It is so respectful. They are a blessing to me with this. ❤
I found your channel a couple of months ago and I absolutely love it! this may sound weird but I get panic attacks and when I'm having one I find watching one of your videos helps me ...maybe it's the content and how peaceful most your videos are...whatever it is in grateful I stumbled onto your channel. Anyways, God bless.
I haven't had any fun lately, 😭 so it was fun. You bring me joy!❤🙂I love the kind and generous heartwarming atmosphere that you create, your kind, easygoing, warm vibe. ❤I like the essence how you live on. I need to be true to myself and find a job I am passionate about. I want to find a way to live as who I really am.
I have found your channel about one month ago through Michelle Reed’s recommendation and I just love it! ♥️😍 I appreciate very much your lovely personality and inspiring videos, as well as your attitude and the way you edit your videos! Such a beautiful but also meaningful online content to enjoy! Be blessed in everything! 🤗
I just love ur videos. ❤. So thoughtful. I feel state of bliss whenever i watch ur videos. If i come to Charlotte i’d definitely love to buy you cup of coffee 🥰
Hello, I am a fan of your channel for many years. I liked your tips and do most of them myself. I am happy I hear so many people are holding Sabbath. Not only for the rest but it's a Christian thing to do. The retraite have I done for many years. Now I live alone the need is less. Thank you for your video's. I love your channel. Your video's are very honest, real and relaxing ❤
So true about work! Yesterday, I had to see a co worker a friend a person be told this is your last day you need to leave. Employers don't even see employees as people just as replacements and expendable. I believe in doing good work but not sacrificing your life for your job. Always put yourself first because your employer is only thinking of profits at any costs.
Hi Ashlynne. I completely resonated with your thoughts about practising Sabbath. This has been weighing on my heart a lot recently, and only this weekend I have been thinking about practical ways to keep it whislt being a mum, who has to take a couple of hours on Sunday to prepare for going back to work and getting school stuff ready for Monday. I'd love to see your journey with implementing rest. I've got a few ideas what will work for us that I am looking forward to giving a go next weekend.
Happy Memorial Day long weekend Ashlynne. As always another stellar video that is just so calming. Nothing like coming home and watching your videos after a long day at work. Keep it up my friend, love ya! ❤
I’ve set aside Sundays as self care Sunday each week. I’m not religious but it sort of the same as sabbath. I don’t do anything I don’t want to do. It’s typically breakfast, coffee and morning cigar and then just chilling. During football season the games will be on. But don’t really answer the phone or texts unless needed and take care of myself for that one day per week.
Yoga - sometimes I have a very 'loud' mind and focusing on balance, breath, or being comfortable with silence seems so simple, over time you will feel a massive difference ✨
I would love to be able to sit outside but in South Louisiana that can be rather difficult. Rarely do we ever get cool days during the summer and the humidity could kill someone. There’s also the mosquitoes the of armor trucks 😂.
Work-life balance is tough, as we spend most of our waking hours (8 or more hours per day, 5 or more out of 7 days a week) at our jobs. I know I’ll never love everything about my job, but so long as I’m okay with at least 50% or more of it, I’ll be okay, even if it does eat up the majority of my time.
This was a wonderful video, Ashlynne! I had actually just finished reading John Mark Comer's book, "The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry", so your creative content was a lovely recap of what I gleaned from his book. I am encouraged by your peaceful and joy-filled demeanor! God bless!!💛🌸🌿
Thank you for this wonderful list! I think in my case, all of the things you mentioned in this video will even go beyond simplifying my life, they will actually ENRICH it 💖 Thanks again! I hope you have the best time in your solo trip next month 🌞

I am sorry but the morning thing is so annoying... I have to wake up at 5 am and have half an hour to get ready for work... I am not getting up at 4 to be able to have some sort of morning routine... that genuinely only works for people who get to sleep in every day... which I wish I could
Ashlynne, I love those videos, they are so soothing and bring a sense of calm. I absolutely love the idea of Sabbath (but do need to get better at it because I rarely ever really stop to have a true rest day). I find that being with myself, whether it is by reading, journaling or watching something meaningful (like The Chosen 🤍) gives me time to wind down and collect my thoughts, and recenter around what matters but I've been thinking about going on a solo retreat as well! Also very random question haha but how do you keep your resuable tea bags so fresh without any stains? 🫖
absolutely love how you included the sabbath! as someone practicing jewdism and celebrating the different festivities has given me another more intentional look on where i spend my energy on. 🩷
What's one of your favorite ways to slow down & simplify? 🤍
A morning routine.
I love to stay on my swing and feel the sun rays, every time I have the chance to ❤
Be present. ...
Put the cell phone away. ...
Focus on the people in front of you. . I also agree with rest on the 7th day it’s essential
I enjoy walking my dog outside early in the morning 🌄
I try to do something without my phone. If it’s go on a walk or sit on the porch, you see and feel so much more when you don’t have the phone easy to grab. The time spent is much more enjoyable.
We also embrace Sabboth rest. We use the day for faith, family, and friends. It builds our souls and relationships.
Putting my phone down after 6 in the evening. I get up early and have my quiet time with the Lord. Great video ❤
