श्लोक:
कृष्णाय वासुदेवाय हरये परमात्मने | प्रणतः क्लेशनाशाय गोविंदाय नमो नमः
ॐ कृष्णाय वासुदेवाय हरये परमात्मने | प्रणतः क्लेशनाशाय गोविंदाय नमो नमः
अर्थ: वासुदेव नन्दन परमात्मा स्वरूपी भगवान श्रीकृष्णको वंदन है, उन गोविंदको पुनः पुनः नमन है, वे हमारे कष्टोंका नाश करें प्रणाम करने वालों के क्लेश का नाश करने वाले श्रीकृष्ण, वासुदेव, हरि, परमात्मा एवं गोविन्द के प्रति हमारा बार-बार नमस्कार है
इस श्लोक की महानता:
महाभारत काल में जब जरासंध ने २०,००० राजाओं को बलि देने के लिए बंधी बनाया, तब सब राजाओं को एक ही बात पता थी की अब इस संकट से बस भगवान ही उन्हें बचा सकते है, तभी उन २०,००० राजाओं ने मिल कर एक व्यक्ति को प्रार्थना कर के द्वारिका में भेज दिया और उन सभी राजाओं ने प्रार्थना करते हुए ये श्लोक बोले।
यह श्लोक बहुत ही अद्भुत तथा शक्तिशाली है, यूँ तो पूर्ण भगवद् गीता का हर शब्द हर श्लोक इतना शक्तिशाली है, के अगर हम भगवद् गीता में लिखे हुए किसी भी श्लोक का जप करें, ध्यान करें तो भगवान सदैव हम पर अपनी कृपा बनाये रखेंगे, किंतु "कृष्ण वासुदेवय" एकलौता ऐसा शक्तिशाली मंत्र है जिसके जाप से व्यक्ति के जीवन से भयानक से भयानक दुख तथा संकट एक पल में दूर जाएँगे |
