This band deserves way more attention than what they currently have. Their songs are beautiful. This album I'm hearing a mix of Corey Taylor Soulfly type sound, Sevendust, and old Korn. GORGEOUS!!!!
@@bryanlenihan5012 I feel like they are more than Nu Metal. They are so much of every Nu Metal Band, I can't even fathom. Slipknot, Korn, Nirvana. They are just Cane Hill.
Those clean vocals are something else, didn’t expect that from Elijah. Actually this whole song feels like a nice alternative turn for Cane Hill and it sounds so dope!
+ Seymore Butts Or, I can compare them both and only enjoy one of them (cough, cough) Cane Hill (cough, cough). No, I'm joking, I did enjoy both, but Defy was SO fucking generic and underwhelming but did have a couple songs where I said: "hey, that's pretty good". While this was new and fresh (to me) and every single song was fucking great and didn't sound like shitty radio rock songs with the lyrical depth of a kiddy pool. And I don't care for Aaron's screams too much, they're kind of ass.
@@silentevil77 Or maybe some kind of heavy drug abuse which can also lead to loss or distortion of memory, at least that's what I experienced with a close friend of mine. These songs are pretty dramatic, sad, and meaningful though, no matter what exactly they're about :D I love Cane Hill for their versatility
As far as I'm concerned: "Why?" is about the Guitarist, he was going through a bad relationship. "Erased" is about the Drummers Grandfather who has altzheimers. and the whole album is about death so they definetly grown up and stuff
Can't say I've ever been a big cane hill fan, but this album kicks ass. Seeing these guys with Of Mice & Men, blessedthefall, and fire from the gods next month.
Bryan Lenihan I know cane hill is touring overseas now, but I think they're just the opening band for OM&M. it's not a festival, it's just an OM&M concert.
Bryan Lenihan i know. I was saying rise records isnt the new roadrunner records or nuclear blast. In my opinion they have more better bands than rise does. But rise does have a group of great bands, just not as many as the other 2
They have a more mature sound and I think the nu metal elements are starting to come into play by moving away from metalcore. Was a huge fan of Smile, but this is the perfect sequel to the debut. Glad this sound has returned from the late 90s to early 00's.

True, but the appropriate term is Nu-Metal
*Why* is Cane Hill so god damn good?
JN Perez One of the best in the business
Jason LovesABR I'm talking in the sense of new nu metal bands
Jason LovesABR the self titled EP and Smile were both great too
@@bryanlenihan5012 I feel like they are more than Nu Metal. They are so much of every Nu Metal Band, I can't even fathom. Slipknot, Korn, Nirvana. They are just Cane Hill.
I'm so shook. I didn't realize Elijah's voice could get as soft as it did in the beginning...I love it.
Kristen C. Thanks
Cane Hill is on a whole new level of sound and I LOVE it
Elijah's voice❤❤❤😍😍😍
Thanks
Elijah's voice is so calm, yet so sinister.
It’s legit really chill sounding
This album is great and the soft vocals are beautiful. 🖤🖤😭
Idk what's sexier, the bass, his voice, or the solo
The delicious combination of the 3 👌
Yes
This is a super pleasant groove. Great great song, my second favorite.
Christina Rosa what’s your first?
why always me Singing In The Swamp haha
Those clean vocals are something else, didn’t expect that from Elijah. Actually this whole song feels like a nice alternative turn for Cane Hill and it sounds so dope!
I didn't think I could get any more impressed than I was with their last release but this took it above and beyond.
They bring back that nu metal sound so elegantly. Yet innovate.
This was a fucking great album. Completely blew Defy out of the water.
Omega4491 nice pfp
Indeed it was, indeed it was.
Or yaknow, you could enjoy both instead of comparing them to eachother

+ Jason LovesABR Well said; couldn't be more right.
i can't describe how much i love this album and this band, it's unreal
Damn... Erased? Scumbag? Hateful? Singing in the Swamp? The End? Why?
...
Who hurt you bro??
Scumbag is about neo-nazis. Others songs idk tho
Erased almost sounds like he's talking about someone going through Alzheimer's or dementia
@@silentevil77 Or maybe some kind of heavy drug abuse which can also lead to loss or distortion of memory, at least that's what I experienced with a close friend of mine. SofaOger I'm so sorry about your friend addictions are a terrible thing that can sadly steal so much from us

xIEm1n3m Are they on tour or is it a festival

Bryan Lenihan on tour
Hassan Saeed I need to see that tour so bad
Bryan Lenihan I'm going to the tour here in Toronto. You should check dates for a location near you
Lovely song, great vocals, love the guitar solo, Elijah wasn't kidding when he said this album was gonna include some of their lightest content

Great tune. For me, this is to this album, as St Veronica was to Smile.

Nu Metal is coming back, finally.
So fucking underrated
Просто кайф 🤘😈
Rise Records has great bands, is this the new Nuclear Blast or Road Runner Records
Garreth Tembo waPhiri no 😂 Rise Records have a group of good bands. But the rest not so much
hahahaha best they keep the shit ones off youtube then
Devil May Care Nuclear and roadrunner have good bands
Bryan Lenihan i know. I was saying rise records isnt the new roadrunner records or nuclear blast. In my opinion they have more better bands than rise does. But rise does have a group of great bands, just not as many as the other 2
Devil May Care yeah I agree
I can picture Johnathan Davis doing this live with Cane Hill....
3:17 - 4:10 Some Alice In Chains vibes for sure
You can hear a lot of Three Days Grace in “It Follows”, “Singing in the Swamp”, and “Why?”. Or is it just me?
They have a more mature sound and I think the nu metal elements are starting to come into play by moving away from metalcore. Was a huge fan of Smile, but this is the perfect sequel to the debut. Glad this sound has returned from the late 90s to early 00's.
They still had plenty of Nu Metal in Smile.
More Slipknot in white
It's like a Slipknot and Korn hybrid.
Luke Castellow I hear more Alice In Chains more than anything. Especially towards the end
Sevendust
ZachBrrowwn defiantly not Chinos vocals, but I hear more of Sevendust’s vocals
Seriously no sevendust comments..?
st. veronica part 2
The sound remember me or P.O.D
Tbh this band should be called grunge 21 pilots
Anyone here due to notification squad? 😎🤘
Korn vibes
Slipknot
Klebert Oliveira it's more korn
metal band??? i dont think so
Met Elijah a couple weeks ago after their concert. He was kind of a douche bag lol.
