"Joy as a form of resistance" (versus anger or hate)...against the absurdity and the lack of meaning of things. Beautiful.

Can joy just be joy? What compels artists to intellectualise simple pleasures?

Positioning your thoughts and actions in a way that makes you feel "joy is a form of resistance" against pain. she gave an example of herself creating art while filing for her UK Citizenship etc.

@@seefinish_ so you can resist being tortured raped by a dictatorship turning your pain into Joy??? Sort of no reistance at all !!! Be Happy at all costs dont fight common!!! Just to justify your having done couple of Office desks with constructive forms ands colours in It !!! Just formal art with a concept put in by force to back it so It is not just formal its got a concept behind to prop It , over produced artist , under the pressure of the profesional art world to produce and produce and produce for the sake of the art institution voracity

Weird, weird art she makes (I also don't like her drawings, I find them boring and mediocre). But she sounds like a sincere person, and I like that; sincere people tend to make great artists.
