quick question - if i were grinding say wood mulch and wanted to size it down through a 4/64 screen but my finished product was mainly powder what would be the issue? Is there a correlation with hammer tip to screen clearance if gap is too large you make too much powder? Do the cutting plates wear out and need to be replaced?

We just asked one of the Multimpact responsibles and he said that the Multimpact line of hammer mills will be actually phased out in favor of the new Granulex 5 (DFZX) as the next generation. The Multimpact is now only available for North America. If I wanted to grind glass do I need different hammerheads?
Hello and thank you for your question. We just spoke to our Product Manager responsible for the Hammer Mill Technology and he said that grinding glass is generally not done on hammer mills.
