The De La Salle Spartans extended The Streak to 151 straight wins during the 2003 season. Terrance Kelly (#28 running back, linebacker, and tight end) and Cameron Colvin (#26 wide receiver) were both standout players for the Spartans. Terrance and Cameron's story are featured in the movie "When The Game Stands Tall", which will be released Friday, August 22nd 2014.
I'll never forget TK. From the classroom, locker room, practice field, and football field, he, and Chris Biller showed me how to play football... I was never any good, but I had a blast... I think of TK often, and I know he would have gone far. RIP TK.
Don't sell yourself short man. If you made the team you were good enough. We can't all be the Star. Sorry you lost your friend. May he rest in peace. God bless. 🙏
Rest In Peace, Terrance. 151 wins in a row, what a great high school
Terrance Kelly R.I.P The best Running Backs History breaking Tackles
He would have made it N.F.L if he was alive ..
He would of R.I.P Terrance Kelly
That really sucks that he didn't get a chance at life-I think he was a better person than football player from all that I have read about him.I feel so bad for his family they did everything to raise him right and made sacrifices to ensure that he would succeed and some heartless gutless coward took that away from him.Like they say God has his own plan and we shouldn't doubt his reasons-God Bless TK and all the DLS players, coaches, family and friends that had the honor of knowing this young man-he would have been a excellent rb in the NFL no doubt.
Hi kyoto thanks for the nice comment.no lies told.he was awesome.still is to me/family.RIH nephew.we miss you so so much!!
@@79SteelyMatt You are right and thank you for the nice comment.this is my nephew.my sister youngest son.god bless you!
Played against Kelly for a few years...Was looking forward to playing against him in college. From a pure talent perspective, that guy was by far the most talented player I ever played against in HS and College. Played every position exceptional! No doubt in my mind he would've been in the NFL.
IMO, this 2003 DLS football team was the best of all time. They actually had a passing game with QB Lupina. Five, countem, five DLS players, including power RB Terrence Kelly were recruited by University of Oregon. Unfortunately, Kelly was killed by a jealous homeboy in Richmond who felt slighted by Terrence. I just loved this team because they had it all. Their DB's were probably the best we will ever see. Not a very big team, but very precise offensively, and they put three or four guys on the opponents ball carrier at all time. This is what DLS is missng throughout 2015-2017. Let's get a QB coach and a QB who can throw the ball like Lupina. !!@@!!
RIH nephew.we miss you.#28 terrance kelly is my sister son.he was awesome!! 1/19/2020
Such good man also rest in peace such a good football player to
Awesome football team. We have good football here in the Cincinnati, Ohio area too. De La Salle came here a few years ago and played one of our Good teams Elder. Elder was winning the game very late in the 4th quarter and De La Salle scored a late touchdown at the end to win it. It was a close call for De La Salle.
yea DLS was not very good that year, but not to take away from the great football played in Ohio - St X, St Edwards, St Ignatius, Massilon, Elder etc are all top notch in their primes
I just saw an ID documentary about what happened to this great young man who had so much promise. He really looks as great as his family and friends described him on the field. He would have gotten at least a tryout by a few NFL teams in my opinion. May he rest in peace. 🙏🏈
Rip Terrance Kelly
The day of that NCS championship game I had a wrestling match at Pittsburg high School that day. Those were some big boys back then. 🦍🦍
Thanks for the upload.
I just saw When The Game Stands Tall. Was TK the only real person on the team in the movie. I know the coach is a real person. I'm just wondering
Cameron is also in the movie. Ok!
Yea i can't find chris ryan anywhere
XVir1000 he was a fictional character
Hey guys, there were only a few real life people that were actually played in the movie. TK, Cameron Colvin, Terry Eidson, Danny Ladouceur and Bob Ladouceur. Hope this helps!
T.J. Ward he plays in the NFL now
no high school football team in history would've beaten this dls team.
2017 mater dei?
Skater 104 17’ MD probably would’ve lost by 21
You're crazy! I could name 5 teams from Texas that would have beaten them, the teams de la salle plays in Northern California are trash. Don't get me wrong their really good, but Texas & Florida high school teams at that time would beat them.
@@chuckp376 idk man, this DLS team was stacked with D1 prospects. They played the number 2 team that year and ran all over them.
Some Texan always says "at least 5 teams from here would have won" but they never beat Cali.
And DJ Williams 1999 team would have beaten these guys. No one, NO one could stop dj Williams. Ever
DLS had some serious horses during the second part of The Streak.
tk was built different man he could play some ball sad ending for the and family
They weren’t real characters but Salinas (the QB) was inspired in the real QB Kevin Lopina (they wore the same jersey number #17#) and Ryan who wore number 34 in the movie is inspired in Mike Dominguez (running back #34#)
Winning 151 straight games isn’t supposed to be possible in football or in any sport yet De La Salle did it. I guarantee you this record will never be broken
R.I.P t.k t.k is the best
I agree.thank you.
the only real live person in the movie was Maurice drew . he talks to the coach in the hospital and says gee coach I didn't know you smoked
Terrance Kelly was real. Cameron Colvin was real. the coach's son was real.
landrin Kelly is a real person in the movie
From at least the Evangel Christian game onward DLS was missing to injury future NFL cornerback Jackie Bates who started at both cornerback and running back for DLS... as far as I know he has the fastest 40 time of any DLS football player ever... a 4.34, though he says he's been timed faster.
the most famous high school football team in America bar none winning 151 in a row and AMY LAWERENCE that has a national sports talk show at night never heard of them ? lol wow sorta odd to me
Wo ho ho!
Danny ladecour the coaches son was real
I'm a Lopez (Bloodline) Bob Ladeceur is stalking me. I hear them behind my fence.
I’m still trying to understand the guy who killed TK what was this persons reason for killing TK.
"uh HU-HOOOOOO!"
RIP
Who was #17? The qb? He was super underrated
DLS QB #17 is Kevin Lopina. He played QB at Washington St.
