Meadow may have become an attorney or not. She did get her bachelors degree and was very capable of supporting herself.
Even if she ended up marrying the Parisi son and disappointing her parents a little by not being a pediatrician she was likely still going to be much more formidable and independent than Carmela was. Regardless of her career choice. I couldn't picture Meadow not wanting to be involved more in a career even after having children. If she married Parisi's son she'd have a life away from the mob but yet still with those family ties and in-laws who understand their upbringing and wouldn't be judgemental.
