Starting with red cherry tomatoes, San Marzano tomatoes and basil. This is happening because I built a pizza oven and couldn’t find San Marzano tomatoes. My wife added rosemary, strawberries and blueberries to the mix. Using about 4 medium sized raised beds. Using all your advice on soil, mulching, spacing, etc. 👍
Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness in making and compiling these videos. I made a notebook just for your videos. Feeling informed to start soon!
Thank you so much. Best starter lessons. Season etc. Also, many others don't even go into such detail, they use language a novice doesn't understand and have to either stop and restart video to look it up or simply skip video altogether. You are the best.
YOU are a great teacher > Thank you so much . Iv been gardening for many years and I always love to learn new things . You taught me the importance of mulching in this epiisode. Great video . YES gardening gives me zen also.

Thank you, Jeff! You're an amazing teacher, last year was my 1st time gardening. The more videos I watched the more confused I was on how to start LOL your videos are succinct and I had success with my container garden! I still have peppers, ginger, herbs and microgreens. This year, I'm going to have a neighbor till the soil in my small space and try planting in the ground! 🤞🏼 This series is a great help, thank you!
This was so thorough, I loved it. I actually had to rewind the video as your voice is soothing that it was relaxing; ala Bob Ross.. Yes, I took a cat nap but rewinded & watched again. ;--)) I also saved it to watch again & again. ♡♡ I appreciate you breaking it down like you did. Be well.
I appreciate how you do your show and how you interact with the people I also live in an area zone 5 which is much harder to grow anything but not impossible I appreciate the difference in the warm and cold weather that you often talk about thank you
Zone 5 can be one of the best zones to grow in. Sure, winters are rough, but the summers are absolutely perfect for growing almost anything. A massive amount of farm land is in zone 5.
Thanks for the education, moving from the south to the PNW, Central Washington is a whole different gardening world. I am having to convert to container gardening due to the sandy, almost lifeless soil & arid conditions, also contending with limited pollinators , its just a ongoing adaption & learning process. Keep at it as we all need help, and your experiences teach us all.
I know people that garden very successfully in sand in raised beds. The longer your raised beds are used, and the more you care for the soil in them, it will start to improve the soil under them as well. I typically have to hand pollinate where I am, due to few pollinators. Good luck!
