Watching these vids makes me appreciate just what a great job the makers of SF2 did at making the characters so unique from one another (except for Ken & Ryu obviously). Most other fighting games use the same template for every character (i.e.: one firing projectile and one body launch projectile for each). With Vega, you have a character who *doesn't* have a projectile, but is faster and has a longer reach than most other characters, can climb walls, and can flip out of danger - making him one of the most uniquely difficult opponents in the game.
It's awesome how you can climb the "cage" regardless of the stage. They never really figured out a good substitute for that after Vega became playable in the official SF games.
Yes, they did, he jumped backwards to the other side of the screen and then towards the opponent, it gave the opposite player less time to prepare for a counterattack.

@@SCALE.TIPPER In the first games Vega has the longest range with basic attacks after Dhalsim but he is less vulnerable to counterattacks and makes more damage, he also has one of the biggest jumps and is one of the fastest fighters in the game. However most of his special attacks are charge type and he highly lacks on basic moves. His basic punch attacks are the same attack at different speed and damage and he can kick while standing, just a claw attack. Luckily they fixed him in later versions.
Vega is a player who relies on the attack from the air. It's never easy to defeat guile as he has a flash kick for those attacks. However, you nailed it with your strategy even against Ken.

one thing this hacked version didn't do is that when the CPU does the back flip he can keep doing it if he wants and you can't hit him at all. however if a human blocks and does the back flip you can be hit in between back flips if the opponent times it right.
I think this way is more correct Balrog is the Boxer M Bison is the Boss Vega is the Matador Spaniard fighter. He does actually look like a “Vega” Balrog looks like the Boxer and M.Bison looks like the Boss this way is definitely the “correct way.” (Not the other way).

Vega doesn't have an ending programmed for him since he wasn't supposed to be played with in this version, so I'm assuming Yumeji (the person who made this modded version of the game) picked Guile's ending just so that the game doesn't crash or softlock.

Capcom really got creative with Vega/Balrog . He's the only character with interactive garments , uses the stage for attacks, and can do backflips
