I’m not Beka, but she hasn’t replied yet so I hope you don’t mind me giving you some of my own feedback! If you are new to animation and just want to try it out, I’d recommend experimenting with different art apps. Also, keeping your layers organized is very important, as it’s a huge timesaver in the long run. It’s actually just a lot like drawing! Oh yeah and finally, make sure to keep in mind the frames per second that the animation will run with, if you’re new I’d say 12-ish FPS? Anyways just try to understand the basics, it can look easier than it actually is haha~
Oh yeah walk/run cycles are the hardest thing to do and make it look normal. If you can master that then you can master animation haha those crashes are why i have mine set to auto save every 15 minutes, with animation is horrible to redo all of that. Those turned out great btw 😊 what was that generator you found? I'd love to give it a go
I honestly love when you do animation in your videos. My uncle is a professional animator for a studio, doing video effects and other cool stuff. This made me curious about his work from a young age. I've been trying to master procreate lately, and hope to jump into animating fan stuff and original content. Nice work Rebekah!

Hey, I don't know if you'll see this but for those that do, a trick for animating hair in a run cycle better is to make the hair go the complete opposite direction of the character (character goes down hair goes up and the moment the character's foot pushed against the ground to go up the hair goes back down (and down as in flat against the character as much as possible!) and also make the hair poof out and extend back when it goes up since it's supposed to be flowing with the wind! Try to back the hair as big as possible (while still in proportion but you can be lax with that) then!

QwQ I know you and your sister have finished each other's drawings before, but I was wondering if you two would also do one where you keep trading drawings every 10 minutes until both the illustrations are finished? I thought that'd be a fun challenge as well. ^w^

As an animated myself everything you said is true down to the T Thanks for the running cycle tip about the torso (did I spell that right?) A little tip for you, although you repeat a particular part of your frame to avoid stress, if you move it too much it’s gonna turn blurry, so you can either use the onion skin to your advantage of drawing that particular part again, or repeat the first frame as it is multiple times that way you’ll still have that sharpness as you move your parts to that exact order you wanted, also you don’t necessarily need that many frames to make some movement, if you want that is, sometimes just 4 or five frames will do, to a particular movement that is, and sometimes you can just move a part with edits instead of animating that part, also also if you wanna do a slow mo………… That’s gonna take a LOOOOOOOOOT of frames again edits, just use edits, you can find tutorials on the internet
when watching this, i thought- what will we do when 'My Next-Door Neighbors' isnt...super watched anymore? what if theres a day when it is... forgotten? i never want to see that day!
