- Hey folks! Just wrapped up the Texas Eagle Amtrak ride - a 37-hour journey from Austin, Texas, all the way to LA Union Station. I decided to book a Roomette after reading they have ability to transform the seats into a bed.
It was quite a journey from exploring new cities and the train food. I was nervous when the train picked us up late but we arrived on time in Los Angeles!

Beautiful scenery!
Thank you for sharing your experience. I will be heading to Los Angeles solo soon and was slightly nervous about how people will react to solo dining. Love this channel. I am a fan now
Thank you so much!! Solo travel is fun!
I'm glad I found your video. I'm also from Austin and was wondering what a train ride to LA would be like. Also maybe Chicago.
Hey on your way to Los Santos aka Los Angeles. Did the train make that left turn at Albuqurque and stop in Winslow AZ? And did you see the Roadrunner racing the train???? A very awesome video.
The west desert landscape is so beautiful in the early morning.
I completely agree with you!
Any reason there is no commentary either verbally or at least typed on the screen (besides what you had for dinner typed on the video) Want to understand the experience, but the lack of commentary made the video kinda weird.
I did add commentary on the screen throughout the video. It wasn’t a lot, sorry. I’ll do better on my next train video.
Is the food free ?
I got a Roomette which includes food. If you get a seat in Coach, food isn't included.

Thank you for replying
Needs voice narration.
What did it cost you to ride
I believe it was over $500 for a private room. A seat in coach is around $150.
@@ILovetheATXreally?? Might have to do this soon.
