i used printful for the first time this month- its the only pod company i have used - i did not like the shirt- the color was faded not bright, the cotton was rough, and the shirt smelled like ink which i think is unavoidable.
This has been my experience as well. I'd also like to add that Monster Digital within the Printify network is exceptional. They are by far the fastest - many times shipping in a day of placing an order. I have also used Swift Pod, and while they are also high quality, during the busy Christmas season they messed up the same customer's order twice - even after asking for a re-print. I would still use them, but tend to favor Monster Digital. I have used Printful, and still do occasionally, but I'm always underwhelmed by the quality and don't understand why they are considered superior by some and why they are much more expensive.
I haven't been disappointed with Printful at all but switched mostly to Printify for better prices and can get better control of shipping policies & cost which is critical.

Hi!. Thank you for your information Brittany. It was exactly what I needed, I was going to do what you did and order samples, so now I don't have to... its such an obvious decision once you see the quality of print from S-pod. I was thinking the same thing regarding sampling the different print factories within Printify. ...if you do it, great.. Im watching .. I have a newish printify and printful store -I appreciate that you are presenting the color and print qualities as that is a huge concern for artists . I have 2 questions for you. 1) if you update your printify listing in Printify to Etsy do I have to pay an extra 20Cents fee to republish? 2) I have been tie dying for years and reverse tie dye now I see that there are people on Etsy that are using the print on demand with reverse tie dye and placeit ( I think).. is there a company that can provide this reverse tie dye or is she doing it herself ? Got any ideas how I can tie dye my own tees and then upload the tie dye to place it with a mockup? would I need to order the shirts first? Thanks so much for your help.
I use Printful. I have not tried Printify so it’s hard for me to compare the two. What I do like about Printful is my company logo goes onto the packages. I also like that they print and ship all orders themselves. BTW thank you Brittany for showing us the Pro’s and Con’s of both companies. 👍
I have used both and your video is very interesting! Not sure if I missed this but with Swift POD / Printify - doesn't it matter which companies you choose? When using Printify there are several print companies you can choose from with potentially different outcomes. With Printful, you are dealing with Printful and not gambling when choosing various providers available at Printify. Printify has better prices for sure and may be better for Tees, but the print area on water bottles, cups etc is noticeably smaller than Printful.
I’ve been using Printify and tends towards Swift POD as well and haven’t had any issues. I’ve recently signed up for Printful, mainly because I want to do embroidered hats and they have a much bigger pool of choices. For print shirts, I’m sticking with Printify.
So interesting. I’ve had nothing but issues with Printify and different suppliers so I ended up going back to Printful, which is who I started with based on my research. I’d love to see a video side by side of their customer service and time frame with that, too. Great job, Brittany.
The game she just put us on with is remarkable! As a new clothing line owner I considered trying out both of them to see how they came out .Fortunately she’d made prioritizing between the two much more easier !!
Thank you SO much for using black as an example!! That was the color I was worried about and came to youtube to see. The fact that you even named the company was even better!!! Great video!!!!
Hi Brittany, I really appreciated this video as I am still in the research stage. I eventually will be to the point as to what company to choose and from your opinion (I trust the most!) I would definitely start with Printify and go from there. Thank you for all of your information and guidance!
Question: Is there a way to use both for separate products. For example, I would like to use Printify for printing and I would like to use Printful for hats as they have the 3d Puff option and Printify does not. Please shed some light on this if possible. I am also going to use Squarespace for my website unless you recommend a different hosting company.
First let me say that I'm not a print expert. I just like to design t's for fun/personal use. About black and white print being tricky, you are spot on. I can say that Swift POD (via Printify) did a pretty darn good job on a couple of designs I had printed by them; one with a lot of black and one with a lot of white, and both had a lot of detail, which they nailed. The one thing I've noticed though is the print quality with black or white isn't always consistent with them. White on a black t isn't always opaque and the same with black on a white t. As for post washing print durability, my husband (bless his heart - trying to help) washed one of my white t-shirts in hot water with bleach and dried on high temp.... I just knew it was ruined but was pleasantly surprised that the print held up like a champ w/little fading.
I really enjoyed this thorough breakdown! I’m in the beginning stages of trying to get everything set up & was originally going to go with Printful bc I liked the idea that they print directly from their warehouse, but after seeing this I’m torn. How do you know what company to go with in Printify? Subscribed.
I'm pissed! So Printful's pricing makes NO sense then, I thought their print quality is better! And SwiftPOD is the most affordable option even within Printify itself, this is insane!
Can you do a video on product placement...meaning where the comnaies differ in where they print the actual design vs how you told them to print it in the design center
I have been using Printify and overall my customers are very happy with the print quality. I will be using Printful for embroidery since Printify does not have a good selection for that service (but I am sure they will catch up soon). Printful is just so darn expensive and I am not sure know how people can make a decent profit using their services. Thank you for sharing your experience! Really appreciate it
Hi, I’ve just finished my shopify website and I’ve gone with Printful. The only thing I’m stuck on is how their returns work. They’re saying the customers keeps the product after refunding?! I want customers to deal with returns themselves on my website and don’t know how or what to put on my returns policy. A video would be really helpful 👍
something else to consider, if you have multiple sources from printify like hats from 1 company, shirts from another, hats from another, hoodies from another, and customers order 1 of each, they will receive them all at different times in different packages
Hi Brittany, I recently signed up for Printify and starting to create designs for my store. I do have an account with Printful but have never used them. The reasons for me choosing Printfy is that they do have multiple suppliers that you can use and mainly because the profit margins are much better with Printify. I really appreciate you doing this comparison and I think this will help out many people how are still trying to decide which to use. All the best! :-)
For clothing, I like Printify for the options and the better pricing (especially as a Premium member). I do have a few items from Printful and I wasn't disappointed in them, per se, but I love the options for colors and different providers that are available through Printify. For product selection, it tends to be a toss-up. Printify wins most frequently but there are a few options that I turn to Printful for because they have them and Printify doesn't. Aside: for any Canadian creators out there - Art of Where is phenomenal when it comes to quality though they are more expensive.
This was super helpful as I haven't had the opportunity to test Printify yet so thank you. I am curious tho, have you experienced that Printful's quality varies based on the product chosen? For example, Bella and Canvas vs Gildan? I know for me personally, my shirts end up looking pretty crisp and vibrant unless I go with Gildan (of course I haven't tried Printify so can't compare it to their quality). For some reason Gildan always gives me print issues. I'm not sure if this is something you've found too?
Interesting! I haven't had that experience at all, and I exclusively use Gildan for the better profit margins. The shirts I show in the video are gildan and I think SwiftPOD's color print was mind-blowing crisp!
never had issues selling Gildan 2000, but I'm slowly switching to Gildan 64000's since they are cheaper(more profit).. but sadly, prints on the 64000's dont look as good as on the 2000s, we'll see...
64000 actually is a softer material so I think customers tend to like them more! And that’s what I printed on in this video and I think the design looks fantastic!☺️
Thanks for this info! Printify is my leading choice but do they charge you before your client’s payment comes in? I don’t have funds or a credit card to cover the costs up front always.
Yes, because they are providing a service for you. YOU are their customer so yes they do charge you for their service upfront, regardless of whether you have received payment from your customer. If that makes sense. I do have one POD service (sadly no tshirts) that bill me after I place the order so I can generally wait a week or two to pay the bill. That is not the common practice of most POD services though afaik. In some ways this is a much better way for most sellers. So you are not getting a big bill at the end of the week/month that you can't afford to pay!
I have only designed a few tshirts recently and have posted them in my Etsy shop. I used Swift POD and ordered a sample of one. it came quickly, and I was very impressed with the printing. This shirt is a Bella Canvas 3001 with a back design and a small design on the front. Will definitely order from them again. I would like to be able to upgrade, but not financially there yet. I have not ordered anything from Printful, so I can’t provide anything on their service or quality. I have looked at their pillows and may be looking at using them in the future.
What are you doing to get such vibrant colors? When I convert my art files to CMYK color format which is supposed to be more accurate to colors printed on t shirt the color options aren’t as vibrant. I used Printify and Dream Junction for a test print and was disappointed with the end colors. I did that test shirt in regular RGB color file and sent off for print.
Did printify have an invoice inside the packaging with the price that they charged you for the shirt? I’ve heard others say this which could be problematic seeing how the customer can see the additional cost that they paid
I’m still pretty new to the party and haven’t been able to do any comparisons, so this was really helpful! So far I’ve used Printify and been super happy for all the same reasons everyone is mentioning. 💃🏻🐺
According to this video, I was surprise how great Printify is better for designs. I personally like the printful website because you can add multiple products in one listing.
Almost EVERYONE thinks Printfuls quality is better, and while that may or may not have been true at some point in the past - I just don’t believe it holds up as true anymore!
I just started POD and at first was leaning towards Printful but after seeing your review and seeing the margins Printify offers with pricing I definitely will start with Printify
@@BrittanyLewisBEAWOLFBIZ I definitely can't wait and I'm super excited!!! I love your Blank to Bank course by the way. Best money I spent and was super informative!!!!
so far i think i like printify better but i'm still super new! i like that i can choose any company to work with depending on my needs and that i can list colors even if not all the sizes are available.
I definitely prefer Printify! Not only is their pricing much more competitive, but I like the fact that you get to choose between several printers and you're not just stuck with Printful's. Printify's quality has always been at least good and sometimes excellent.
Love it! I went with Printify based on their color choices and I have not been let down! The only issue is balancing (almost daily, it seems) the available sizes based on the providers I choose. Luckily, they make it easy to switch to a new provider.. like crazy easy! I also appreciate their variety! I also use PrintedMint & Gooten as providers but only for a select few products that printify doesn’t have! #teamPrintify
Love it! The stock issues because of what's been going on in the world have been BANANAS! I agree. One of my fav parts about Printify is the order rerouting feature and how seamless that process has become, though it is still evolving everyday. Thanks for sharing!🥰
I prefer Printful, as its so easy to use, also there are mockups (even thought we are not allowed to use them:)))), and the customer service is amaaaaaaaazing! I never tried Printify quality as its warehouses are in USA only, and Printful has warehouses in Europe and its quite cheap to order samples for me. Printify also has few more colours of the sweatshirts I'm using, so thats bit disappointing.. Anyway, I have items from both of those providers in my Etsy shop...
I agreed, Printful's quality sucks nowadays! Recently ordered a sample, so disappointed with Printful's printing and the price is FAR expensive. The color is not solid and flaky, can literally see thru the black shirt. Think the Printful is overrated over the internet nowadays though I like their custom label. But for quality wise, I've just changed to Printify to avoid customers complain!
I definitely prefer Printful. I mainly sell mugs and Printify prices are too high! + Last year when the turnaround time was 1 month + ... that was ridiculous
Covid made things so rough!! Luckily I think we’re passed the toughest parts altogether (hopefully) and can continue moving forward in a more normal way😅😅 Thanks for your input!!
Printify sounds like the much better choice...better variety of colors for the shirts, higher print quality that's virtually indistinguishable from screen printing , faster turnaround times, better margins!
@@BrittanyLewisBEAWOLFBIZ so far Im loving my designs in printify -- Printful seems really stodgy ..ultimately it depends on the designs one has, I am a painter/photographer designer and need my colors to POP -- its not just boring type- thanks for the quality video.. Im going to buy your PDF -it looks cool
Yes! This was just a sampling of the most popular manufacturer. I use them all, however, and find them to be quite consistent! I have a video coming out comparing Printify manufacturers against each other later this month!
I prefer Printify, because that's what I've seen popping up when I've looked into this stuff. And because that's what I've seen users recommend. I haven't actually used any though! Hah.
I’m prioritizing making and marketing comics at the moment. Working to get launched on that. But print on demand would be great for merchandise connected to my comics. I’m working full time, so hard to tackle more than one project at a time.
wow! I absolutely loved this video, since I have no budget for ordering samples yet buy I have only tried The dream Junction and Monster Digital and I've had no complaints. I actually got 2 5-star reviews from customers of the items received and those were printed by The Dream Junction. I have not tried Printful yet because it is more expensive and I am not in USA so I get fees reduced from Paypal too, so I don't want to reduce my profit that much. But I definitely like Printify. :)
Printify honestly scared the sh*t out of me in the beginning! I was so afraid of the horror stories from random facebook groups (wrong orders, print quality, etc), so I decided to mainly use Printful. But due to Printful's HORRIBLE production times during Christmas, I decided to take the Printify leap and I haven't used Printful since! I've been so impressed with Printify's production times, prices, and quality that I can't believe I was ever afraid to use them. More colors and better profit margins were a no brainer for my switch too!
This is such a common story. So many sellers make decisions based on what they are in fb groups and this could NOT be more detrimental. People go to these forums to complain... so naturally it’s going to seem like everyone is having issues when in reality... it’s a tiny percentage. You’re just not hearing the majority (which are success stories!). So glad you decided to try them out!!
This was really helpful, Brittany. Thank you! I use Printful currently but since most of my designs are very colorful it seems like I should consider learning the Printify platform. I've had good luck with Printful for phone cases, stickers and tote bags, but it seems like Printify is better for shirts if I decide to scale up with that. I have ordered a few shirts from Printful and their quality made me nervous to post more for sale. I am excited to take your courses. Thanks again! Cheers, @Robertphelpsart

Hello, are you able to request samples of products prior to making a decision to sell ?
Also, quick question- do you know of ANY POD companies that sell Comfort Colors?
Nope! Not yet. I am assuming they’ll have them eventually and then no ones going to want them because of the price tag🤣 But would be nice!
Brittany Lewis oh SO trueeeeee!!!
Hi! Which women’s tee do you recommend on printify?
I prefer Printful, as its so easy to use, also there are mockups (even thought we are not allowed to use them:)))), and the customer service is amaaaaaaaazing! I never tried Printify quality as its warehouses are in USA only, and Printful has warehouses in Europe and its quite cheap to order samples for me. Printify also has few more colours of the sweatshirts I'm using, so thats bit disappointing.. Anyway, I have items from both of those providers in my Etsy shop...
Hahah you can use the mock-ups!!! However, I can promise it’s not in your best interest to do so ;)
@@BrittanyLewisBEAWOLFBIZ yeah, thats what i meant:)
What's your thoughts on prodigi?
I agreed, Printful's quality sucks nowadays! Recently ordered a sample, so disappointed with Printful's printing and the price is FAR expensive. The color is not solid and flaky, can literally see thru the black shirt. Think the Printful is overrated over the internet nowadays though I like their custom label. But for quality wise, I've just changed to Printify to avoid customers complain!
Which DTG Provider You Like The Most From Printify
Have you done anything with hoodies? Which hoodie do you recommend?
Yeah I sell a lot of hoodies! I use Gildan brand in everything I sell.
Thank you for the information. I am working on making a selection and this video helped me decide!! Thank you so much :)
🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🥰
Don't they have different print companies? Wouldn't it differ in quality depending on which print company you used within printify or printful?
Yes. New video comparing Printify manufacturers coming today!
Thanks for doing this video Brittany! I prefer Printify for the profit margin.
You’re so welcome! Thanks for watching!! :) and SAME!🙌🏼🙌🏼
Printify sounds like the much better choice...better variety of colors for the shirts, higher print quality that's virtually indistinguishable from screen printing , faster turnaround times, better margins!
YES!! That’s exactly right. I’m always shocked when people insist on better quality with printful. This has never been my experience🤷🏻♀️
Did anybody buy her print on demand course??? Is it worth the investment?
Definitely prefer Printify!! Love the quality, and how easy and efficient it is to use!!
I sooo love the ease of use as well! And the mock-ups are much better too😅
@@BrittanyLewisBEAWOLFBIZ so far Im loving my designs in printify -- Printful seems really stodgy ..ultimately it depends on the designs one has, I am a painter/photographer designer and need my colors to POP -- its not just boring type- thanks for the quality video.. Im going to buy your PDF -it looks cool
Is there a way to purchase your ebook with paypal?
Email support@beawolfbiz.com
doesnt it depend with printify? you have multiple manufacturers with printify so you would expect differences within them
Yes! This was just a sampling of the most popular manufacturer. I use them all, however, and find them to be quite consistent! I have a video coming out comparing Printify manufacturers against each other later this month!
To be honest I don’t see the difference in quality.
I prefer Printify because I think its easier to create a product. I always get frustrated when trying to create products in printful.
🙏🏼🙏🏼💯
Thank you so much for the video
You’re so welcome! Hope it was valuable for you☺️
I prefer Printify, because that's what I've seen popping up when I've looked into this stuff. And because that's what I've seen users recommend. I haven't actually used any though! Hah.
What are you waiting for?!? ;)
Totally! I have used a ton of dream junction and monster digital as well and they’ve always been great!! Fast shipping lately too💫
@@BrittanyLewisBEAWOLFBIZ thank you!! good to know
I prefer printify because the prices are usually better then printiful
🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼💯
Thanks for sharing!. Do you have a preferred print provider for t-shirts on Printify?
Nice work 🎆🎇✨
Thank you! Glad you liked it☺️☺️
I have only used Printify
🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
I prefer printify because of it gives me more options of providers
🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 options are always great to have!!
Can u cut hair
Im doing ok with Printful so far, but I sell tapestries with Printify 👍
Can you use both printify and Printful for your one shopify website for different products?
@@user-gh2lf1zw3r yes
I use Prinify for better margins
Same!! ;)🐺🐺🐺💫
I use Printify per your suggestion and experience. I also like all of the print providers available along with the order routing feature.
🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼💯
Hey @BritannyLewisBEAWOLFBIZ thanks a lot for the video! And I'd like to which supplier did you supply the t-shirts for Printify?
printful looked better
in my opinion, printful products are overpriced
They’re definitely a bit on the pricier side, I think because they do everything themselves💯
Great points, Robert!! Printify is a dream to use. Super simple and user friendly so your on-boarding process won’t take long ;) I encourage you to experiment with it! And make sure to use the link I pinned as the top comment here to register so they know I sent you💫💫
@@BrittanyLewisBEAWOLFBIZ I opened an account and am getting started this week. Does Printify integrate with Etsy as well as Printful does?
In just a few clicks!

Brittany: There wasn't extra plastic in the shipping bag.
The Earth. Thank you very much.
Agreed. However, your customer won’t be thanking you very much if their items are damaged upon arrival ;)
Brittany you are a superstar for helping all us women to begin. You assisted with your kindness and knowledge.,
I APPRECIATE YOU!!! 🤍🤍🤍
