It makes more sense to bring new players in before selling anyone. Now we're in a position where clubs know we have money and will jack up prices. Where as before we were sorta skint per say and other clubs knew that.

Dont blame Rutter for leaving one bit, blame the owners for not spending a little extra last season when we couldve done with a few extra players, if they bought a centre back or decent full back like we needed we wouldve gone up and probably kept all the players, joke of a club

Waiting till the last week of the window to bring players in to get best value. Surely it’s worth bringing players in earlier if gives you a better chance to get early season points. Basically gambling August points by not having players through the door earlier.

When a situation doesnt make sense its because there is something we dont know. When a club sells and doednt replace with equivalent its usually financial, incompetence or takeover. You choose.

My husband follows bristol city. They ve got two realy good new players in ..one on loan from west ham and one boight for newrly nothing from the continent in addition to a burnley player and some others. The new players have already had a big impact. We need to do somrthing similar. And very quick

Iv'e got no worries regarding numbers in getting squad players in, we will get players signed. Probably 4 or 5. But from what shelf are they from?? We need real quality. Im not gonna sit back, clap and be content no matter who they sign. 49rs better have something huge up their sleeve. They can't afford to dissapoint Us much more.
I have lost all faith and respect for our owners. It’s just lies, excuses and total focus on financial return for investors. The sooner they clear off the better, before they sell any more players and turn us into a 5 a side squad.

Like kagey said, do not fall in love with these players its a job for them and they are all not like ayling and cooper, i love the club, the players come and go however i do think the 49s are mercenaries and i would personally like to see them out

@@atheist666 this is what I thought but 35 was with all his addons we paid 25 up front + 4 mil in addons according to Adam Pope from the BBC so we made 11 mil without Hoffenheims cut

The moment Georgi steps out at the Amex he’ll realise his HUGE mistake.
He will be gutted making twice the money and playing in the premier league.
I think it’s more like when he ends up a bench option because they already have about 6 players ahead of him the squad… don’t understand this move to be honest. Club wise it’s a good level for him. But Brighton are stacked with attackers. I wonder if Georgie will flourish this time in the PL or if he’ll struggle again. He already loses the ball so much in the Championship and still struggles to shoot, not sure what kind of Georgie we will see in the PL. but had he stayed at Leeds for at least another season I think he would have added so many levels to his game before eventually being ready for PL.
Amazes me that Brighton can splash 40mill. Guess that's the prem, and being fairly established now. A team just needs to get over that line.....a Brentford, a Crystal Palace.....whereas Leeds and blades failed to get over the line, not staying up there long enough

You do know while all the dinosaur clubs like Leeds are scrambling to avoid sanctions because of overspending and debt, Brighton recorded a net profit of £120m on last accounts right?
And that’s without the sales from last summer of Caicedo and Sanchez to Chelsea and MacAllister to Liverpool, so that’s another £170 incoming to be applied.
It’s nothing to do with being in the premier league, it’s about running a club correctly.

According to this that I read, "Yes, I am amazed, but maybe more the fact that they can get a 40mill player! I see that is their record transfer, yet still have paid over 30 million for 3 other players! I can now see the huge profits of last season, re impressive large sales,. For a club that nearly went bust not that long ago, they sure have got something worked out, and without being a huge club, they are going well.
