This has always been my favorite Final Destination movie in the franchise, but I've never been able to put my finger on what makes it so good. I don't know if it's the deaths, the characters, the setting. But whenever someone mentions Final Destination, *this* is the movie I think about.
It appeals most to the demographic it’s aimed at: high school teens. The other movies, aside from the first mainly feature adults. Between this one and the first, however, the deaths hit harder because they are more based around common high school age events and activities: theme parks, tanning salons, working out, night time shifts at a startup job, drive thrus, etc. plus it feels nostalgic for adults who watch the film for the same reasons as above. Edit: Plus Mary Elizabeth Winstead was the best lead in these movies hands down. Not just because of her acting (which is top tier and feels genuine) but also because her character was perhaps the most realistic in terms of how she reacted to the events and how she pursued solutions.
This video series makes me appreciate the thought and small details that went into the Final Destination films. Growing up I thought the movies were just “dumb fun” where you watch even dumber kids die. Now I think they’re actually a bit more realised and have a cool cryptic message about fate, luck and death

For #31 : Hell's Gate is a permanent ride at Playland Vancouver. It gets its name from a BC landmark where the Fraser River is squeezed through a tight zone, and the rushing water looks extremely violent due to being quickly forced through a small space. The ride is also a small tight space with a lot of violent action, hence the shared name. It's definitely neat that they featured the ride's sign in that one shot, and you're probably right about the reasons why, but the film crew didn't put it there!
It's hilarious to me that everybody used to film shows and movies in BC but they didn't bother trying to change the scenery or make it more believable that us supposed to be somewhere else, like in the first seasons of the x files it's completely obvious it's filmed in BC but the episodes were set all across the US
In the weight room scene, Lewis's speech about fear and death, he mentions the 'Death wears blue and orange' which I think is a reference to the Denver Broncos, making it another call back to John Denver.
This was the first FD movie I've watched when I was 8, the whole atmosphere of the movie has this uneasy feeling and I think it's due to its cinematography which beats the rest of the series.
That's what I also thought of too. The Saturation of the Cinematography also doesn't help for me either, since some parts look... brightly coloured during some Deaths, especially Frankie's.
@@SMEARGLEX75 hmm I actually like the saturation, it just shows that no matter how colorful the shot is, death can always come for you. An example of the opposite is in FD 2 where all the colors look bland and it makes the movie look like a TV movie..but it makes the deaths seem gruesome yes

15:50 Actually, I think the appearance of the wolf is a reference to "black dog" urban legends, in which seeing a black dog could signal your upcoming death. Typically the dogs in these urban legends are larger than regular dogs, hence probably why a wolf was chosen.
I found one that you missed. When Jason was begging to be let off the ride, the other passengers started chanting "Hey ho, Let's go.", The lyrics to Blitzkrieg Bop by Ramones. Later, Wendy's shown to have a Ramones album and a bobble head of Joey Ramone in her room.
FD3 is probably my favorite Final Destination movie. 1 was iconic because it's the first one and I travel almost every year through plane so it's memorable, 2 I think is what sticks to people the most because of the highway crash, 4 was meh and 5 had that twist but FD3 just hits all the nice spots for me.
19:57 A quick google search also suggests that it's just the adjective meaning "a general feeling of wrongness" which is still quite appropriate just not in line with the theme of the rest of the map. I'd also like to point out that the flight number for the first film is possibly a reference to three New York Police scanner codes. 10-80 is code for explosion, 11-80 is for major accident, and 187 is homicide. Just thought you ought to know.
The ending with the train was incredibly satisfying, much better than the original planned ending, where Ian died, the camera gave one more flash, roll credits - that one didn't test well. FD movies always picked the best endings, where the alternate endings were a bit lacking - the first movie, where Clear would have had the baby, the third one, where it would have cut off after Ian's death, and the fourth one, where Lori and Janet would have been crushed.
And the fifth movie’s alternate ending where Molly, Sam and Nathan walk through a park and Nathan is crushed by Flight 180’s landing gear as Sam and Molly watch in horror!
I was hoping you were going to talk about the giant potential plot hole that almost ruins this movie for me. Frankie's camera is a catalyst for the accident, but Frankie is one of the people who gets off of the roller coaster WITH HIS CAMERA.
@@soogieharto739 The camera is the main thing that causes the accident, It loosens the wheels, the leaking hydraulics would only weaken the restraints. The fluid plus the camera on the track causes the explosive damage that derails the car and sets in motion the rest of the deaths. No Franklin Cheeks, no crash.
i think death will find another way? because those kids on the roller coaster will meant to die. Death will find another way on how to kill them Again even though Frankie Cheeks got off the coaster. *sorry for my bad english
8:37 I don’t know if this is considered a secret, but while saying the voicemail, Wendy also thanks the twins for inviting her to tan, and says that she would like to go over to tan with them, if “it’s not too late”, possibly alluding to the fact that her warning call was *too late*

1:59 i think that this can be about ashley and ashlyn alternative death, in the blu-ray version of the movie both of them die in a eletric shock after ashlyn tried to pull out ashley from the tanning machine, you can see this scene on the youtube too
Final destination 3 is the best one out of the entire saga, is so attached to the original story, the music, the scenarios, the main character, etc. it's the best.
While I love all the Final Destination movies (except for #4), this is my all time favorite! With the photograph concept, the depth of the characters, and the use of a rollercoaster as the opening disaster it made for a brilliant horror movie. The "thing you missed" in your list I surprisingly never connected was the colors of the French flag on different things throughout the series. Sorry I'm late to the party as this video is not new, it just popped up in my feed ;) Ironically this video was posted on my Birthday and "Wendy" is my cousin ROFL :D
Man, the way I love final destination and the things I missed it literally has me looking over my shoulder. It’s like you saw the signs, the circus music was so creepy you an artist man and this is by far some of your best stuff.
The Electric Sisters more directly reference Ashley and Ashlyn's deaths. The Robert Wise reference was laid on thick - on Jason's grave the middle name Robert can be seen. Producer Craig Perry established that in-universe, Carrie and Blake were not relatives, just shared a surname.
NGL , FD3 was my favorite of the franchise. The photograph-death concept was quite clever. And they even drop unconscious clues in how each event is intertwined. The death scenes even seemed more possible. IRL. Thank you for pointing out these things I missed when I last watched this 😭.

“We only got to step number 5 because everyone is dead.”
I think once you cover all of the movies, you should do "180 Things You Missed" collecting your favorites from every movie.
I was hoping you were going to talk about the giant potential plot hole that almost ruins this movie for me.
Frankie's camera is a catalyst for the accident, but Frankie is one of the people who gets off of the roller coaster WITH HIS CAMERA.
I think the hydrolic is already broken? Im not sure
Always irritated me to
People always seem to point this out. The roller coaster accident was going to happen regardless. Frankie’s camera just made it worse.
i think death will find another way? because those kids on the roller coaster will meant to die.
I'm really slow. I only realized that towards the end of this video that your shirt said "Bloodbath & Beyond." I just thought you were being sponsored by bed bath & beyond and accepted it with no questions. Great video btw
Honestly, that would have been way better! 😂
man i love finale destination i sometimes rewatch when I’m bored and find some things that i missed
I do the same. Every now and then I will have a a Final Destination marathon and binge them all.
0:49 - I'm calling shenanigans already. The 'I80' in the reflection lacks the horizontal bit of the '1' that appeared in the 081 image. (Edit: Changed the '1' to an 'I' to illustrate the point)
1:59 i think that this can be about ashley and ashlyn alternative death, in the blu-ray version of the movie both of them die in a eletric shock after ashlyn tried to pull out ashley from the tanning machine, you can see this scene on the youtube too
I was just thinking of watching Dead meat Final destination kill count and this appeared
After watching this i looked back at all my photographs to see if there was anything weird in them.

No. But i feel my life is being controlled by some force.
Dude your attention to detail is insane keep up the amazing work!
This entire video was so highly detailed with great observation through and through.Great job!
There is someone walking behind you...This one was my favorite!!!!! Still get a small twinge anytime I’m at a fair or six flags
I've never clicked so fast! Great job CZsWorld! You're awesome!
Ryan Merriman was so hot in this movie. He's like the best representation of a hot and handsome boy next door in 2000s 😍
'Turn Around Look At Me' is SUCH a creepy song. lol my cousin hates when I sing it, or play any of the songs heard in the moves. XD
Yesss once you started doing this series I was HYPED for this one hahah
112 THINGS? I saw this movie a lot and yes, that are a lot of things I missed.
You're great, love your videos
MCR and Misery Business XD I can't-
Finally final destination 3 everything you missed. Thank you czsworld.
Also 8:37 had me dying. 😂🤣
Man, the way I love final destination and the things I missed it literally has me looking over my shoulder. It’s like you saw the signs, the circus music was so creepy you an artist man and this is by far some of your best stuff.
21:26 "Claimed 39 lives." That's the same number of students who died on Flight 180 in FD1.
Actually in the DvD u can change the details slightly and they are electrocuted instead of burning to death
I’m obsessed with these
NGL , FD3 was my favorite of the franchise. The photograph-death concept was quite clever. And they even drop unconscious clues in how each event is intertwined. The death scenes even seemed more possible. IRL. Thank you for pointing out these things I missed when I last watched this 😭.
I can’t wait for final destination 5 that one has soooooooo many call backs and Easter eggs to the other films
You should do
The Shining: History of Jack Torrance | Horror History
Edit: I wanted to do it but I am bad at writing scripts and I have a bad voice for talking and no microphone
I thought he already did that one?
@@goddessofthots5096 Nope. Carrie White I think it thinking of. She's also a King character
YESSS I VERY MUCH AGREE!!
MCR and Misery Business are really the best descriptions I have ever heard
Currently binge watching these, LOVE your videos!👏🏻
3 was the franchise’s peak, though it did come back up for 5 (kind of like a r o l l e r c o a s t e r)
This is my favorite one of the series, I was obsessed with it as a teen.
Also I so need your shirt it's awesome.
You can get it from Bloodbath and Beyond's merch store!
This is my favorite one out of the franchise!!! It’s so iconic and puts everything together perfectly 🖤
I also died when u said we got a pair of token goth characters MCR and misery business 🤣🙈🖤considering ian and Erin were my favorite characters in the movie
You being a Roller Coaster enthusiast just made you one of my favorite youtubers. Keep up the great work
This movie is my favorite in the franchise because of the roller coaster element, and I love and appreciate all the coaster info you threw into this video. 🤩
P.S. I love that shirt!
P.P.S. I coulda sworn Ian and Erin (also love your nicknames for them hahah) were brother and sister this whole time, so I definitely missed something from the couple of times I’ve seen this film. 😂🤦🏾♂️
I thought that to when I first saw it
They do have more of a brother/sister relationship than a romantic relationship but I guess that is why I love them. You don't need to be all lovey Dovey to show people you are a couple.
Your theory about blood worth, stands up in part 3. I think he’s doing it twice what he did with Wendy. He must know how to tap into to it where he can only give warnings.
If you get the deluxe edition you can change their fates and frankie does not die he goes to jail at the end of the film.
This was awesome! I’ve probably seen FD3 a hundred times or so and found out some new stuff here. Great stuff!
You have amazing attention to detail. Love this analysis and all your Saw content and research. Keep up the great work!
Your roller coaster enthusiast is showing... Love it!
Weren’t there 8 survivors since her sister’s friend got off the rollercoaster too?
such an underrated series , great video , so much details in those movies , im amazed on how much research you did to make the videos
Can i just say how much i love your shirt 😍😍 But ... i love your channel even more ☺️ I’m relatively new to your channel but have been binge watching it like crazy 😜 Always anxious for your videos to come out!! You do some awesome work. Your research is always on point! So just a great big thank you for all the high quality vids you post ☺️
8:06 Whoah, whoah, whoah, hol' up. The lady screaming was supposedly of the album art's model who was covered in honey which was hell to get off her skin, and the scream was when she burst into the office threatening to sue everyone. No one killed her, Billy Beck just thought it was funny which is why they kept it in and later credited Billy Beck to be the screamer. When I find the article confirming this, I'll update.
“It is so sad that you know that.”
