Really appreciate you making this video. Had one of these engines apart last night and the OEM parts diagrams don't show how everything connects. Your careful explanation helped me get a 13 year old mower running like new again.
Thanks for an excellent presentation on the automatic choke. My automatic choke carburettor no 183020 on a Briggs and Stratton quantum engine has me confused for many years. I am currently awaiting a rebuild kit for it and with the assistance of your instruction video I hope to get it working correctly this time. Unfortunately I had no plan or documentation on the carburettor. Given the quality of your video I must check your other videos. Thanks for your excellent work.
Thank you so much for putting this video together. I recently got my hands on a pressure washer with this engine in it and I had no idea what I was looking at. You're video gave me everything I needed to get it up and running again.
Thanks for the great video, found the small spring lying next to my pressure washer and had no idea where it went. Watched this video and saw the exact spring and its proper location.
Thank you! I have mine apart right now to take carb off to clean and broke the tube on the back side of carb! Mower is 12 years old. Gonna have to order a part and reassemble and this will be great visual reminder of how it goes back together hahahaha
I've never had a briggs with auto choke, but I did have a honda 160 which was a simpler design but still needed to be disassembled at least once per season to work satisfactorily. Briggs system seems much more complicated than a simple primer bulb which I've always found to be dependable on briggs quantums and easy to replace when needed.
I ordered the thermostat for my B&S 126T02-1401-B1 Engine on a Craftsman lawn mower. Briggs & Stratton 593208 Thermostat Replacement Part... what all the online parts places say is the right part... but it doesn't fit!! The opening that the flange on the muffler goes into is too small, the thermostat is too thick, and the muffler bolts aren't long enough to reach. That is supposedly an OEM replacement for Briggs & Stratton Genuine OEM 790830 Thermostat. I found one on EBay, But I don't want to bother ordering if it won't fit either. WTF did B&S add this ridiculous 'auto' choke? This mower has always been hard starting when hot from day one. Now I know why, but now I can't find the part.
I just found your video. Great presentation! Do you have any resources or where I can find the parts numbers for this exact replacement choke Linkage, Return Spring, and Auto Choke? (I need all 3). I am striking out completely. Thanks.
I like to visit www.partstree.com for good diagrams. Even if you don't buy from them, you can at least get part numbers from the diagrams. Thanks for watching.
