  • This is probably easier on classes with the best self regen, but I thought it was fun to do on my favorite classes! If you're struggling, consider trying a class like Warrior or Paladin with a built in self heal. But I think you can do it on any class you like with a little effort!

    I got my firebird today! Something to note on Sephirot:
    If you get the mage buff (as seen in the video) the pillars will damage you more but the tether attack will hit you for way less.
    If you get the opposite (might de buff):
    Head into one of the pillars as they won’t hit you for much and continue to the front. Pop bloodbath and wait for the first blast to hit you. Once it does pop your second wind and you should barely survive. Dps him down once you’re past this phase.

    Tiny details:
    Bismark: She's right, there's a mechanic for the bubbles, based on the weather. It does not matter. Lightening weather would hit the bubbles instead of you, it still will barely tickle, just take them out and wait middle to avoid the knockback, even if there is no knockback. Do the simplest thing. What does matter? SPEED. Those water puddles, they can reset the cannon and you'd have to wait another entire minute. Go FAST, get there before the water does. Oh, and the two birds? If they get close, it's damage resistance, they become invulnerable. Again, just go fast. She's right, it's quick, it's easy, gotta go FAST. If anything she's underselling the importance of speed.
    Ravana: If you are a tiny bit underpowered, you might hold your burst until the form change, but in most classes you don't have a frontloaded burst, so you might already be doing this without noticing.
    KotR: The boys get invulnerable if they get the buff off and get close. So she's right, just don't let them, save a burst if you have to. Spear mechanic isn't just dead, it's a wipe, if you bring two people, healer goes down, it's a wipe. Massively unfair, listen to the lady, save a burst.
    Nidhog: I can't even nitpick the slightest bit, she's got this down, just play like her and win.
    Sepirot: I remember when the exploding adds used to be a problem, don't even TWITCH the healthbar anymore, how times have changed. As long as you are moving when the first attack hits, you'll not be where the rocks slam up, and you'll avoid the damage down. Cut the dance a tiny bit shorter. Towers. You have a 50/50 shot here. If you have the buff that lets you resist the tower, you'll take less damage from it, but the green tether just after is the pain point. If you have the green, the tower might take you out. Don't get frustrated, take the L, and go in again with even more echo, you'll get the yellow eventually, and that'll give you the last few extra seconds. You'll get your win.
    Sophia: If I'm in here as a Mch, I honestly need to fail once and get a tiny bit of echo. I just don't make it if I don't. Never had a first try win. I ain't even gonna nitpick her, I can't judge. No right.
    Zurvan: You used to be able to WIN before it staged. Now he's stuck at 00.1%, HILARIOUS.

      Good advice! Speed and big damage are basically the key to all of these fights, learn to move and burst and you’ll get them with practice if anyone struggles!

      Listen to the lady, and don't forget to drop a like on the Video. It's rather rare to find proper documentation that says, "the last mechanics that matter are". A guide tends to either be "trivial, just do it" or "here's all the mechanics, do them all", this is content we need.

    If you’re like me and came here hoping it might be helpful on the free trial level cap: it mostly isn’t. If you happen to be curious about what this might be like at level 70: it's bad. Here’s what I can say to help!
    -Some of these fights are not possible. I have the mounts for Ravana and Sophia and have done the first two phases (so far) of Sephirot. Bismarck is not possible (adds phase). Zurvan is doubtful (Wave Cannon). Thordan is doubtful (adds phase). Nidhogg is doubtful (adds phase).
    -You need to play on BLU. No tank heals fast enough to survive; no healer tanks good enough to survive. Other DPS are not worth thinking about. Pack healer mimicry+pom cure+gobskin, basic instinct+mighty guard, diamondback, and a lot of trial OGCDs. Every fourth GCD will probably have to be a pom cure and/or a gobskin. Do not panic, this is normal.
    -You have to know the mechanics for these fights. Your DPS is markedly worse than a synced full party, so you will see every mechanic more than once, and it is possible for you to get enraged on. Sophia will absolutely enrage on you - I never once cleared her without wipe echo. Have the time. Take a durability buff for the deaths. Zone in.
    -I can tell you where you need diamondback. For Ravana, it’s the attack when the hive walls begin to crumble. For Sophia, it’s when the First Demiurge points his stretchy box AoE at you.
    -For Sephirot, it’s right on the fifth warning tick of his party stack in his first phase - timing is important, because you need diamondback to last until the first auto attack afterward, so swiftcast to get it right (also, this isn't enough, so use devour or angel's snack as well). It's also when you're facing his tether with the might buff in phase three, which is fun and terrible because you also have to avoid his circles, so run fast and swiftcast.
    -Use Lucid Dreaming on cooldown. You seriously risk running out of MP otherwise: these fights are long, with few breaks, and diamondback will eat you.

    • @Sniblet
      @Sniblet Месяц назад

      Cool fun fact: you can also clear Emanation at level 70. You can Not clear Emanation EX. You get nothing for doing it, but I did it, and it was fun because I want to dream with mother forever.
      You need diamondback for whenever Pall of Light combos with an AoE, and should consider using Vril for routine attacks. Otherwise, the fight basically has no mechanics because you don’t get to dodge any of them lol lmao. Heal a LOT. There’s no enrage.

    • @HereticAltias
      @HereticAltias  Месяц назад

      Have you tried the level 50 extremes for the horses? Those might be a bit easier at level 70. I remember soloing them just under level 80 at one point. Good job doing all you did only ten levels above the trials!

    • @Sniblet
      @Sniblet Месяц назад

      @@HereticAltias Some of them were rough at the 60 cap, but they're all easy enough at 70, and I have all the horses. I can only imagine how silly 90/80 BLU is.
      Reviewing Rath's Bismarck clear, it might be possible with a fully geared level 70 melee DPS? Considering how close it was on hard and with a higher epic echo, I won't hurry to say it's possible, but I'll try it someday.

    how to solo dead content like eureka

    • @HereticAltias
      @HereticAltias  6 месяцев назад +2

      Eureka isn’t that bad actually! Just do your challenge log, it rewards tons of exp! If you happen to see a fate train I’d hop in, but if there are none or you just don’t wanna interact do the log each day until your exp is enough to move on to the next zone. Only thing I had to find a group for was BA, but there are dedicated discords for that. I’ve totally cleared Eureka on the Crystal DC though mostly by myself, so it’s doable with a bit of patience and daily grinding.

    For Thordan, I tried soloing it on red mage, but that didn't work out. It took me going on warrior and using pretty much all of my mits at once to figure out how to avoid the big damage after that stun XD
