19:35 Honestly, has there ever been a Guilty Gear character who made people go "Oh, this is going to be a fun match-up, I can't wait to play against this character"?
That was Potemkin for me in Strive. A really good Pot or just one that spams Megafist all the time is annoying, but otherwise, it's a pretty fun match. Faust and Goldlewis matches are usually ok.
The only reason I didn't get this game is its freaking size, why that much tho? Edit: at 9:30 he says "the game getting smaller", does that mean it's smaller now, or that's what should happen?
Mostly because of story mode dialogue being voiced, and BBCF has a lot of story dialogue. Remove that and you'll almost half the disk space necessary for the game.
Its one of the smoothest feeling fighting games imo, if not the smoothest, as far as 2D goes and nine is easily the most complex character and is still not that complex. Every character has their own gimmick but 9's the only one who just gets like 10+ extra moves, most just get like 4 that do whatever their gimmick is, like steal meters.
Unless 1 or 2 characters are left out I believe every character has a GG color. They even re use some colors because Noel has had an I-No color forever, but then they gave Nine one as well when she finally released.
@@ehvaandal From what I understand she is Es is sort of a super soldier meant to be a vessel for a magical macguffin called the Embryo. 12:50 A consequence of people who are terminally online and don't socialize much is they don't know how to communicate with people, so when they do talk to people in person, they tend say vulgar stuff. It's very common, but the scary part is its a trait commonly seen in psychopaths. moral: Go outside and talk to people.
A lot of people here know what theyre talking about - if im new to BB how are Kagura, Rachel, Litchi, Valkenhyne and Hibiki for new players? Rachel looks pretty high skillcap from what Ive seen but what about the rest?
So I started playing Rachel ~3 years ago, and while Blazblue isn't even close to my favorite fighting game, I did start my fighting game journey with it. I can say that Rachel, while very high skillcap with her setplay, is still a solid option for new players if you like the lightning rods idea (if you don't, you probably won't like the rest of the character).
Out of all the characters you mentioned, Hibiki and maybe Kagura would be the easiest to pick up and play. Everyone else needs a bit of time to understand their drives, combos, etc. But ultimately, you should play whoever you think is the coolset.
Kagura is a pretty chonky boy with nice big buttons and poor mobility, you will need to be comfortable with charge inputs and stances, since those are both important parts of his kit, super cool and rewarding character once you get used to him tho. Hibiki is considered pretty newbie friendly and very solid, he's just a really nice rushdown character. Valkenhayn is super flexible once you wrap your head around his doggo mode meter, he's considered pretty tough to learn and has a high skill ceiling due to him being reliant on his wolf form for mobility and combo extensions, personally though I believe he's approachable at low-level if you're still learning the basics, just mid-level is gonna see a spike in execution. I haven't sunken any time into Litchi in CF, but I remember her basics being straightforward enough in CS to get some success, the big thing is that you need to learn how to manipulate the staff for pressure and combos since so much of her kit is focused around it. Rachel is a very unique flavour of zoner, she's got crazy mixups, pressure, zone control, oki, and in general a pretty flexible kit, but you REALLY need to learn how to manage her wind gauge, cos she's dead in the water without it, super hard to learn, I can't play her for shit, but damn is she a real cool character concept.
Ed Boons tweet about putting rollback into old NRS games (MK 9, Inj1) was trolling that Japan fighting game dev Zoom call the Japanese fighting game devs did where they all talked about the industry and refused to talk about netcode. I'm gonna throw every arakune player i know at you including myself. Your not ready
This game getting rollback on my birthday was honest to god really damn awesome
Nine has two big reasons why newbies play her
The same two big reasons I pick Es😋
Big hit boxes and conversions?
The same reason people play Azreal
Kunzite and morganite
Nice to see more people playing Blazblue, I wanted to take it more seriously years ago but gave up on that because Europe lobbies are always empty. hopefully it will improve. I just focused on the visual novel instead.
I have been playing mostly Hazama, fun to use.
It's been great to go back to the game that started it all for me. Until I played BBCF I was never interested in fighting games beyond playing MK/Naruto in parties once a year.
Just happy people playing CF. Love this game
I never bothered learning BlazBlue because I had no one to play with. Guess it's finally time. Good shit Arc-Sys
"Some people do not play the character for their normals..." --Sajam 2021
i always thought blazblue looked fire but never played it because no rollback. Now it has rollback and i finally have an excuse to give it a shot
DID SHE JUST FIRE A LASER FROM HER HUHA?!!!
Embrace the darkness within! Main susanoo, azrael, or terumi 😂
12:35
"I don't care what you think about this character sexually, please leave my chat."
Future meme material right here.
Cant wait to start screaming persona quotes again.
Sajam picking Nine is the best thing I’ve seen all year. Welcome to the witches, Sajam!
WOAH WOAH WOAH WAIT WHAT THE FUCK. I REMEMBER SAYING I’D CRY IF THEY GAVE BBCF ROLLBACK LIKE TWO YEARS AGO. IS THIS ACTUALLY HAPPENING???
TIME TO DESTROY MY HANDS ON NAOTO :’)))
I’ve found love In Susanoo and possibly hakumen
As an Arakune main... Yeah, no, my friends hate my stupid warpy shifty floaty dashy buggy ass. Anytime I throw into distortion w/ bugs, they look at me like I committed some sort of war crime.
I'm not surprised that he chose Nine, so far.
Now i want to see Sajam try out Hazama. Then my live will be complete
Cant wait to see Sajam get bodied in BlazBlue instead
I was fairly hesitant to grab this game due to it looking far too complex but this doesn't seem too bad
It has a really high skill cap and a ton of insane things to do, but it's not that hard to get into and it feels great.
This is Jiyuna's vision. Sajam playing anime
The way i chose a character is i will exclusively play characters with guilty gear pallet swaps
Unless 1 or 2 characters are left out I believe every character has a GG color. They even re use some colors because Noel has had an I-No color forever, but then they gave Nine one as well when she finally released.
Majin Obama said to look up ES on Twitter and as a new BB player as of a day ago I'll never look at this series the same way again 😳
I looked it up but don't see what he's talking about, embryo storage? Like shes pregnant? Or the embryo is something magic related? What am I missing?
@@ehvaandal From what I understand she is Es is sort of a super soldier meant to be a vessel for a magical macguffin called the Embryo. I can't quite say for sure because most of this info is in a BlazBlue visual novel, and BB lore is a bit of a mess to understand, but no she isn't pregnant or anything its just magic stuff. Her name is funny though.
@@ES_Solace ah so it's just the name?
I hope you try out more characters than just nine in the future, not because i hate nine, because blazblue’s got a lot of really cool characters and they all feel really unique in their own way
wait until you find out about Mai and her spear
Also Nine's 214D (or was it C) is sick
Perfect reason to bring back mvc2
"dude it's my house"
So when is capcom going to give in and give us Street Fighter 4 rollback?
Yer a Phantom, Sajam.
Play Naoto, and good luck 😂
Coomers strike again people can’t play characters without them butting in
glory to animeilluminati
12:29 Damn it guys, stop giving Big Tiddy Waifu Enjoyers a bad name. We’re not all pervs… that’s not true, but we’re not all spurgs.
I really hope they put rollback on the ps4 version of bbcf
ps3 crossplays with ps4 so doubt it
@@boofboofv2 That wouldn't change shit lmao
Sajam picking my main girl is fucking wack. He'd probably really enjoy Es and Kagura too, since I migrated from them to Nine.
So sick that this game is back.
Does anyone know the name of the song playing during his trials? I've been looking for it but can't find it :(
12:50 A consequence of people who are terminally online and don't socialize much is they don't know how to communicate with people, so when they do talk to people in person, they tend say vulgar stuff.
It's very common, but the scary part is its a trait commonly seen in psychopaths.
moral: Go outside and talk to people.
If you don't 1v1 Jiyuna imma be disappointed.
Sajam playing best waifu?!
Damn he has great taste!
Sorry I’m new to this, what are terms like rollback and netcode?
He was just pointing out how old NRS games without rollback are.
Also Ed Boon Tweets generally should not be taken seriously as confirmation of NRS doing anything in particular.
I played the original BB, and was meh with it. I got the entire series on a bundle when it went on sale years ago, but didn't play it much outside of being in a lobby with friends, and just mashing cause the slowdown on certain stages was unbearable.
Now that there's rollback, my friends are jumping back on again, so I kinda wanna take it a little more seriously.
Really REALLY digging Jubei (cause he's a ninja cat who FUCKED a big tiddy witch), and want to know want to know where I can find high level play of him....
Who's the guy at the end reaction to Baiken? Did he say Noon?
Supernoon, yeah
