    Great video - I have the ceramic bbq from char griller. The only negative I have is the ability to replace parts as I've had it for awhile....

    Good comparison. I have a ProQ bullet smoker and the main downside is the amount of charcoal it needs, as you said, and how much the temperature can vary. I did some DIY insulating a couple of weeks ago using some ceramic fire blanket and it has made a huge difference, can easily stay around 120C all day on a single basket of charcoal and will always have some left over.

      That's great. Thank you so much Stewart. I really appreciate the feedback. It means alot.

      Im thinking of buying that smoker.
      Was that an easy thing to do? Which ceramic fire blanket did you use, and where did you use it?
      Thanks

    I have a Weber Summit Charcoal Grilling Center which is now their Kamado with table. I have a FireBoard system with blower, a Slow and Sear, Vortex and a griddle insert. Does it all. I don’t have much room, but my company will be offering me a taxable anniversary gift. Two of the things I am looking at is a Cuisinart 18 inch vertical smoker. Really want one. The other item I am looking at is a Cuisinart 20 X 20 two burner gas griddle. I am leaning towards the griddle. What do you think? My Kamado already does just about everything but regulate the heart with the griddle insert.

      Hey, it would be very convenient to have that Cuisinart, 20 x 22 burner gas griddle. That on the side that you need faster that don’t need to be smoked.

      @@GrillCulture Thanks. Could also transport that little griddle easily, too, and use anywhere.

    I just couldn't justify the cost of the Kamado so went with the Matador 45cm Black Catalyst Pro Bullet Smoker and love it.

    A good high end Kamado is an investment that you would want as a centrepiece of an outdoor kitchen.

    Have you done any cooks on the Fornetto yet?

    • @GrillCulture
      @GrillCulture  3 года назад

      I have. My earliest cooks were done on that 22" Fornetto, but honestly I use my Kamados way more often because their better on fuel and don't lose heat as fast.

    Hey Dave, I have the same ceramic from prosmoke. Where did you buy the divide and conquer bracket to place a heat deflector. Mine didn't come with one and I've been using one from a Komado Joe but it doesn't fit too well. Any help appreciated.

      You’re absolutely right! Im the same as you. Mine didn’t come with those accessories either. I measured it and discovered that Kamado “Classic” sized accessories fit it. So I ordered mine through Amazon 👍🏾

    Hi l just got the Pro smoke kamado today after watching your video this morning. Where did you get the extra grill levels and what type are they and do you know if you can get a stone deflector plate for this type? Thanks

      Hi Garry. I got them on amazon. I have a prosmoke kamado. I measured mine and found out that the regular Kamado ""classic" range of accessories fit my smoker. That's how I did it. It was a great add-on :)

    I’m ready to buy my first smoker and I’m torn between the WSM, ProQ and the Fornetto. Do you have any experience with the others for some advice?
    I would never get the 22 WSM as for many small cooks it would be uneconomical, however, with the design of the Fornetto you can make it smaller and so I’d assume this makes it much more economical to run.
    There’s not much reviews for Fornetto - how do you find the temperature control on it? Is it as ‘set and forget’ as the WSM?

    • @GrillCulture
      @GrillCulture  3 года назад +1

      Thanks for your question. I haven't yet gotten my hands on a ProQ. I do know that the WSM's and Fornetto's functionally perform the same. Fornetto's give tiy alot more versatility because they're so modular. So there is an advantage there. I will say... soe your general weekly home dinner type use... I believe that the 22" is slightly too big. I would encourage you to go a step down to help with a smaller cooking chamber / fuel efficiency.

    We get absolutely ripped off for BBQs here in Oz. I'm currently tied up between a pellet smoker or a kamado. I had a gas bbq, but really gas BBQs might as well be a fry pan inside.

      Yeah some of the prices are sky high in the selection of available equipment could be better.

    Love the video wish it was out a year ago when I was deciding between these two beasts. Got the kamado in the end. Where did you get the kamado stacker? I presume it also holds a heat deflector plate?

    • @GrillCulture
      @GrillCulture  3 года назад +1

      Thank you G0tti310. I appreciate it and yes the Kamado actually has a very large heat deflector pan near the bottom on the inside. And I actually got mine in the BBQ section of a large local hardware store in my area called Bunnings. It’s a place similar to Lowes.
