I’m BM owner and he’s a working line dog. He will turn 1 years old on November 27, 2023. I can tell you this, if I didn’t have past experience with working dogs such as the Doberman and German Shepherd, I would’ve thrown in the towel 😂. So, I say all of this just to tell you, I take my hat off to you for hanging in there for your BM! I think they are some of the most loyal dogs out there.

@@DexQuin yes I've had German shepherds and my aunt rescued retired police dogs back in the 70s. Thank you she is very loyal and very protective. She's come along way from when I got her. She has more confidence and has learned a lot of commands. She's awesome. Thank you 😁🐕‍🦺

We have one named Nash. He's mostly black with black legs and is sable/black from withers to the tail tip with and nice white crest. He loves people and is good with other dogs unless attacked. He is 10 months old and is still a little mischievous but learns quickly. He's very athletic and can run and jump beyond belief! If you have the time this is a great breed for an active person who loves dogs. They are very loyal and protective of family members!

I spent 26 yrs in the military, father retired military and was a dog handler. I’ve had GSD, 2 Rotts, Pitbull, and a Beagle & now a Mal since a puppy. I’ve never owned a smarter dog than him! You can see his mind working! He can manipulate you easily! He sees use eating with utensils and now when we cook for him he wants us to feed him with a spoon😂 He watches TV😂 He sees me bring tea to my wife and runs in first, jumps in bed and puts his face in my wife’s neck and licks her neck to wake her laughing then pops his teeth at me in excitement saying I got her up! I kiss my wife good night then he does too😂😂😂 He is a NUTSO!!!! And yes 5 plus hours a day of continuous moving!!!!😢

Growing up as a little Girl with a German shepherd,
    what a beautiful Soul.
I was having later an Australian shepherd for a long time, she was also a very intelligent dog, very much trainable skills, worked with eye contact and other vividly methods, she loved to serve, learning was fast done, and she was having a very friendly and peaceful behavior, always included that she was paying attention, and loving to get new tricks for playing together.
    Very good save guard, too.
Miss her so much my Sweetheart.
I lost her by someone was doing poisonous actions around our neighborhood, many dogs are dying from it suddenly. 😢
How cruelty, some crazy humans we have don't really Care and respect other Life, and don't like either other people's Joy of being happy to have a wonderful dog relationship.

What? That they paid too much for a tan German Shepherd? 😂

  • @Lyn4817
    @Lyn4817 4 месяца назад

I am in love, such a highly intelligent breed but I have always loved German Shepherds. I adored my Rottweiler that unfortunately got leukaemia and we lost her at the age of nine. The 14 to 16 years of age of this breed is a wonderful bonus. I am sadden at the shorter life span of most of our dogs that have been only around twelve years. All large dogs turn out well given the right training and home life. People including our Vet were frighten of Rottweilers but my girl changed the mind of her Vet.
All dogs regardless of breed or size, (outside of dogs trained as professional dogs Military nor Police dogs,) should have training so opening their mouths to remove foreign objects and giving oral medication isn't an issue, along with having their heads, ears mouths and paws use to being touched, along with being socialised with young children and other dogs.
Unfortunately far to many people who have dogs, should never own a dogs. Dog owners must be prepared to put in a lot of time with their dogs in training, exercising and treating their dogs like another member of the family., which is exactly what they are. Aggressive dogs in the majority of cases are a result of a lack of training, exercising and treated as a member of the family. Anyone not prepared to do that, should get a cat.
When I was child prior to school age, my parents adopted a British Bulldog that had been surrender. I adored that dog and virtually rode on her back just like a horse. I don't know how it happened but at the tender age of about four, I was the only one who could control her. My father usually had to tan my butt to call her of of what she was doing. Mum was unable to touch me if it was a reprimand. I was the only kid who could walk around to the local shop to buy bread by myself, with Juno by my side. It would have been suicide if anyone had attempted to touch me and no, cars in the suburbs away from main roads, weren't an issue in the late 50s.

How come I know them better? I'm from the town that they come from: Malines, Belgium. I still remember the time when you could have the other Belgian breeds in one nest of puppies. Nowadays, this isn't happening anymore due to commercial breeding. Greetings! I got mine from a top breeder that exports to china and the US for $350... And I gave some puppies for free to some of my neighbours that are into training these dogs. Mine likes to run from home in the evening and come back in the middle of the night... I know where she's been (a friend of mine's yard about 2 miles away) but I 'm not losing sleep about it anymore LOL ( you have to live in a free space environment to be able to do this, though. But the dog gets so much better with some free time of it's own. 🙂

It's only good this breed drop in its popularity. Malinois is very challenging and time consuming breed, not suitable for everyone or even first time owners, they end up in shelters too often because of that. Please think carefully at least 100x times before you get one, there is probably no worse faith for Malinois than be betrayed and abandoned by their partner.

    Hi,
number 22, may i propose the guy who is jumping with a malinois to use glasses ALSO for the dog and NOT only for the human. Believe it or not the dog eyes are also sensitive to a 200Km/hour speed ...
it is very strange that this human is not forgotten to install a musoliere to the dog to protect hiself from a dog reaction, but that it is "forgotten "to protect the eyes of this dog ... Is it by chance that this soldier would have a center of interest only pointed at HIS navel ? ...
    Hope it helps ...
i am driving malinois and laekenois with some .... " some results " and those such of errors is definitively something that REAL pro does NOT do at least in Europe ...

So, you think you know the Belgian 'Malinois'???
let me tell you something my friend, I'm Belgian, born and bred and living there. The Belgian 'malinois' as everyone calls it, is a FLEMISH BREED, named after the FLEMISH city MECHELEN, which of course no foreigner can pronounce correctly. It's official name is MECHELSE HERDER or MECHELAAR , like the inhabitants.
Try and pronounce that as an English speaking person, or a French one for that matter....😖
My late husband was an English speaking Canadian and he couldn't pronounce it either, nor even my own Flemish name.
Ok, I accept that it might be difficult, but please, at least give it a try!
It rubs me the VERY wrong way that because of the hard pronunciation, they automatically switch to the French one, and that dog IS NOT A FRENCH BREED!!!!!!!😡😡😡😡
There is no love lost between the French speaking part and the Flemish speaking part of artificial Belgium (because of our corrupt politicians, as everywhere) but it hurts me when I see that they even confiscate a PURE FLEMISH BREED as if the French can have the honour! NO!
    MECHELSE HERDER or MECHELAAR!
