      @@JonArthur we all have that intention after, the event but you go with what you know you should do. I knew perch were finicky but they are a new level. You're so lucky to have that type of water close to you though.

    Great video Jon, nice change to the usual video. Your underwater footage is the clearest I have seen on any of the fishing channels. It's surprising how much the clear water stops the fish from coming in and feeding isn't it. Looking forward to your next video mate 👍

    HI Jon very interesting as i use worm quite a lot in Summer and having watched the video it seems to ask a lot more more questions than it answers, many of the perch seem to put more effort into avoiding the bait than trying to eat it,all i can conclude is you picked a day when the fish were not very hungry ,anticipate part two,thanks for the incite.

      Good points David, yes I expected more of a frenzy! When I visited the river the week before and threw some groundbait in down there they seemed attracted but never really attacked the balls, but it would be worth a try another time, maybe mid-session?

    Nice video Jon. I think that a worm centre hooked either just off the bottom or on the bottom would work. Also I think its to early to decide on if what you did is wright or wrong. I do think to much bait introduced. Interestingly some fish both Roach and Perch took an occassional maggot or caster from the outside of the patch you baited up. Facinating idea and amazing camera shots. Well done. Cheers

    • @JonArthur
      @JonArthur 2 месяца назад

      Thanks Peter, yes loads of questions and answers and definitely overfed it. Hooking it centrally is called 'wacky style' in soft lure fishing terms and that's something I also thought might be good to try next time.
