    I just upgraded to TK9. Wow what a great upgrade! I also purchased Sean’s Button by Button course.
    Excellent course. The Button by Button course explains how each button works. All with an easy to follow explanation.
    Sean explains how the buttons work. Dave Kelly’s weekly TK Friday explain why you want to use each button to get your desired result.

    Just watched all 47 TK9 chapters. BRAVO!! Great job ex[plaining. Also thank you, Than You Tony Kuyper for an amazing product. If it weren't for LrC's cataloging and search stuff, I would probably do all my photo work in PS with TK9. Again, BRAVO to the both of you.

      Thanks Dave! I agree. I just watched your first TK Friday video for TK9 and love all the ways you show to quickly create balance and contrast layers to target the sky and foreground separately. I'm looking forward to next Friday already. :-)

    Hey Sean, so glad you offered the Button by Button Guide, I picked it up last week and appreciated the fact that I could just go to those sections, buttons and tools that are new to TK-9. An outstanding resource guide for all TK-9 users. Now I’m looking forward to one of your full edits with the TK-9 plug-in. And Thank you Tony.

    Thanks for the review of your favorite new features. I purchased the TK9 BUTTON BY BUTTON GUIDE and I am currently going through it video by video. I had purchased TK8 back in April, but never used it. With TK9 I am making the effort to learn and use it in my photo editing.

    • @SeanBagshaw
      @SeanBagshaw  11 месяцев назад

      Awesome! My suggestion for new users is to just learn and add one feature or method to your workflow at a time and slowly build the things you use over time. The videos are hopefully helpful with that process. Don't hesitate to reach out if I can answer any questions.

    Just purchased your videos. Ive been a Dave Kelly subscriber and fan for a while now. I look forward to your button by button tutorial video.
    Focus mask may be helpful on first glance with my bird photography and the bokeh effect we try to achieve.
    Of course many thanks to Tony Kuyper for his amazing product. Cant go wrong with a name like Tony.

      Focus depth masks will be great for working with bokeh in your bird photos, and also for darkening the background progressively to make the bird stand out while still looking natural.

    Hi Sean. Thank you for this video. I also purchased your TK9 button by button videos which have helped so much in making the switch from tK8 to TK9. I do have a question though and would welcome your comment. In TK9 (as it did in tK8) all the TK9 panels and my workspace are saved providing I'm connected to the internet. Today I opened Photoshop whilst not being online and the TK9 panels were not there and not listed in the plugins menu. If I then close Photoshop, connect to the internet and open Photoshop my saved workspace is visible after resetting it but I have to add my actions again to the My Actions panel and right click each button to get the button colours back. It would seem to be an Adobe cloud issue? I think Tony Kuyper had similar issues when I contacted him with the issue in TK8. Thanks in advance.

    • @SeanBagshaw
      @SeanBagshaw  10 месяцев назад

      Annoyingly, this is a problem with plug-ins and the creative cloud desktop app. Photoshop is only supposed to need to connect to the Internet every 90 days, and you would assume that any plug-ins installed through the creative cloud app would be the same. But sometimes for some people all plug-ins (not just TK) disappear until you reconnect to the Internet. The issue has been raised with Adobe but last I heard Toni had not heard back. Until they figure a fix you can at least save yourself the time of rebuilding your custom panel settings by using the backup feature in each module. This will allow you to quickly restore all of your custom settings if this occurs again.

    Hi Sean, just a quick one regarding Mask the Mask button, i tried it and the window dialog box that appears is a Gaussian Blur selection instead of Feather selection as shown in Dave Kelly's video. appreciate how to fix this. thanks heaps.

    • @SeanBagshaw
      @SeanBagshaw  5 месяцев назад

      I think this is something Tony changed in an update, so older videos will not match the current status. The current status is Gaussian Blur so you are up to date.

  • @miintka8356
    @miintka8356 11 месяцев назад +1

    Nice video buddy! Say for example i just made some blur effects in a plugin from the nik collection but i only want to effect the highlights. Using a luminosity mask..... do i need to make a group and somehow make a clipping mask? essentially i want to control the effect using a luminosity mask. once i know how to do this i'll feel way more confident. Do i need to click the nik collection layer before i go into tk9 and choose a lights three mask?

    • @SeanBagshaw
      @SeanBagshaw  11 месяцев назад

      Thanks! I haven't used NIK in a long time, but I think the NIK filters are applied on a new pixel layer, correct? If so, and you only have a single NIK layer, then you can simply select that layer and then enter the Layer Mask Mode interface (the button on the lower left with the chain link and layer mask icon), and any mask you click will automatically be placed on the NIK layer. You can quickly try out different masks to see which one works best and you can also modify the mask to fine-tune the look.

      @@miintka8356 Awesome! I'm a big fan of layer mask mode. And if you ever want to do the same thing with masks other than the standard luminosity masks, say instead you want to use a zone mask, color mask, edge mask or focus mask, that can be done as well with just one extra step. You would go into the particular mask source you want to use, create a mask that targets the parts of the image you want, and then click the "Apply" output button (same chain/mask icon as Layer Mask Mode) and that will apply the mask to your NIK layer.

      @@SeanBagshaw Extra dimensional mind expansion...I thank you! There's so many possibilities it's absolutely insane. I'm so glad that I made the leap to Photoshop, well I made some business cards for my brother about 10 year's ago just using basic image blending so I'm coming back into it with a small bit of experience. But I didn't realise the level of "selection" shall we say, was available. Thanks again because you've already demystified a bit of a grey spot that I was experiencing. I'll be purchasing your video course 👌
