It actually affected me more than I thought it would - I carried on filming up to the point when No. 53 had been pierced and debris fell in - that's when I felt the ghosts had been released for all time. ODD. In other places - this block of flats would now be LUXURY Appartments ;)
Whilst the land was able to support a block of flats - the central part at the rear was infilled 70 years ago - underneath lay the old Rockwell spring and old coal mining galleries. The garages which used to be at the rear had to be demolished due to subsidence. There was a reason the back of York House was never developed - and it had little to do with the slope ;)
