Good info BUT being able to park in the opposite direction is not legal over here in Australia and is a ticketable offense. IMO people may "see" the various signs but they just don't register.

Hi buddy. Technically it is also an offense over here, but it is very rarely enforced. In fact one local authority did enforce it but there was such an outcry over this "loop hole" they stopped.
