Steven , Daniel's answers lead to the film you're not a fan of. The name on Miyagi's passport in his secret box, "Keisuke Miyagi ' was how Miyagi was introduced in the opening scene of " The Next Karate Kid" when he receives his medal of honor( the one Hawk stole) at the WWII ceremony. This is the connection to bring Julie Pierce ( Hillary Swank) back. Julie's grandfather was war buddies with Miyagi, and she learned Miyagi Do as a young child making her character completely relevant Perhaps revisiting might give you different perspective. " The Next Karate Kid" BTW honestly Julie Pierce fighting was more fluid and loose than both Daniel & Johnny in KK. Hillary Swank is a natural athlete. There's a reason Clint Eastwood cast her in Million Dollar Baby, which she won both an Oscar & Golden Globe. .The most accomplished actor in the franchise
@@crapsmalloy7273 everyone else in the show had the (anger-filled/emotions holding them back) -> (good guy/full fighting potential) character development in cobra kai. I just wish they didn’t choose Kwon to be the one to show what would happen if a student didn’t get the right teacher and time to be a better person 😭
Personally, I feel like it might’ve been more impactful if Axel had been the one who died. Axel was an innocent bystander in this war between Miyagi Do and Cobra Kai. And I feel like it would’ve shown both schools just out of hand this ‘war’ is getting, and how much it’s just ruining lives. Especially if they see that one kid (Axel) died, and another (Kwon) having his life ruined by possibly going to jail.
You can put Kwon's death on Kreese not just for bringing the knife, but for feeding into Kwon's rage and anger. He told Kwon to use all of that on his opponents, instead of teaching him to control it or take it out on a bag or something. And Kreese emphasized that defeat isn't acceptable, so of course to win Kwon will grab the knife. And Kreese might be regretting that, watch his and Terry's reactions to Kwon's yell. They were nowhere near Kwon, but they knew somebody was dead by that scream, they heard that scream way too many times in Vietnam. Kreese is seeing the consequences of his "No Mercy and no defeat" teachings. Terry was even horrified, both had big flashbacks to Vietnam.
@@Jediel1823 It's not that he brought the dagger. It's that he didn't go back to search for it, the moment he realised it's not there anymore. A weapon is the last thing you want to be there, in the middle of a brawl. So, instead of going back to find it, he proceeded to confront Silver like a moron.
Considering how respectful they have been to Pat Morita’s and Mr. Miyagi’s memory, I don’t doubt that his family signed off and have been compensated. I thought it was really cool to see Mr. Miyagi again, a good use of the technology.
@@itiswhatitis141 dude Cobra Kai has always been a cheap thing, no shit they aren’t gonna have good deep fakes/ A.I’s you ask for to much when this has always been a budget show lmfao.
This episode was crazy, absolutely no one was expecting anyone to die this series, and the fact that it was broadcasted live on television to the whole world. I wonder how they’re going to go about this in the last part of the season.
Yeah tbh I thought it was gonna go normally and that the captains make it to the finals but that was next level. I have a feeling that for the third part to start off, it might replay the same moment of Kwon’s death once again as a recap or something and then cut to his funeral
@@saiyanobe23g6 I feel Iike karate will get banned. The way that Mrs. LaRusso kept commenting on the aggression and danger of the art, and now it’s been broadcasted that someone could actually become unalive from it… yea parents aren’t going to let that slide
@@loveu4life100I was thinking the same, no chance they have a tournament again after this. This was also an all out brawl and I highly doubt this was the same situation that arose when Miyagi was in the tournament. That was most likely a total accident during the tournament fights.
Jon Hurwitz confirmed that the Cobra Kai and Sony teams worked closely with not only Macchio, but also Morita’s family. The late actor’s estate backed the decision to use Morita’s likeness in that sequence, otherwise the scene wouldn’t have happened.
@NikkiStevenReact Man you guys need to watch Into The Badlands by AMC which had three seasons and the guy that Silver teams up with and the tv show Warrior which is based on the wrightings of Bruce Lee and one of the producers is Shannon Lee.
the moment I heard Miyagi's match ended in death, I knew somebody was going to die in the tournament only because I know how these writers roll and they did an outstanding job!
@@andreadeamon6419I agree with you on terry something to do with the drug test thing or some plot twist to that n the Russians only did justice for their team
Originally Brandon( Kwon's Actor ) Said Kwon was looking at Miyagi Do after he got the Knife, but after Yoon gets thrown into him by Axel he changed his target to Axel instead.
@@IBEtripz let’s be honest though. If the sekai takai was a real thing and a brawl like this happened on live tv, it would go viral worldwide and would go on to become the most watched sporting event in the future. ESPN would kill to televise it lololololol
This show has dozens of unrealistic and unserious moments that would never happen in real life, yet we still love it! Lol. It's one of the only shows I personally can suspend disbelief for. One example I can think of off the top of my head that also happened in this last part was all the charges against Silver being dropped because Stingray is an "unreliable witness" when he's the victim of the assault that took place lol.
The main guy was knocked out - that's why everyone went ape-💩 crazy. When he got up he knocked that guy out and ten seen Daniel trying to get to Kwon but didn't know why. He found out quickly and cut the feed.
It's funny I was definitely more on silver's side over krease... He dragged silver back just to shit on him and disrespect him silver originally really wanted to leave the rivalries behind but they didn't let sleeping dogs lie 🤣
I agree, though I think most of us can agree that Silver is responsible for his own actions. He still had the option of saying no to Kreese when he first came to him to get him back into Cobra Kai.
Pretty much, even though it’s by accident and his self defense. It’s either you or me, kill or be killed when really kwon did so for himself. …..(it’s kinda sad for axels part) but, Still.
Here’s my theory on Mr. Miyagi’s past - So here’s what we know about him for sure : He was born and raised in Tomi Village, Okinawa. He was taught a form of karate invented by his ancestor by his father. He convinced his father to also teach his friend, Sato. Sato was arranged to marry Yuki, Miyagi disagreed and left Okinawa to Hawaii after Sato challenged him to a fight for the death. In Hawaii, he meets his soon-to-be wife, working in a sugar cane fields. They marry and move to California. Miyagi joins the US Army and fights the Germans in WWII. While he’s away, his wife, who is pregnant, dies in childbirth and loses the baby as well. This happens in 1944. Fast forward 40 years to 1984, he meets Daniel and begins training him. We know what happens from here because of “Karate Kid” pt. 1, 2, 3, 4, and the “Cobra Kai” series. From ‘44 - ‘84 is the mystery here. We learn Miyagi fought in the Sekai Taikai about a decade after the death of his wife and child. Who else have we seen in “Cobra Kai” have a loved one die and then go off to fight karate in that headspace? Tory. Daniel called off Tory’s match with Sam because he could tell she was off and didn’t want Sam to get hurt accidentally. Johnny later said that after his mom died, he wanted to fight cuz it would’ve helped him. What if Miyagi entered the Sekai Taikai in order to process his grief, and then while fighting in that negative headspace, not focusing, he accidentally killed his opponent with techniques he decided to keep secret and hidden because he felt shame and didn’t want someone to learn moves that could kill someone. It would’ve helped make sense why Miyagi disliked tournaments so much and told Daniel to not compete after the All Valley of ‘84. It also explains why Chozen had to be the one to teach Daniel the Secret Miyagi-Do Pressure Points instead of Miyagi himself. The only thing I can’t quite make out is the different name. The name “Keisuke” that shows up on the passport in the mystery box is only ever referred to once in “Karate Kid pt. 4” during the WWII Honoring Celebration. Every other time he’s referred to as “Nariyoshi”. Even in Season 3 of “Cobra Kai” when Komiko was reading Daniel Miyagi’s letters to Yuki, his name is “Nariyoshi”. I hope in Season 6 pt. 3, we get intercut flashback scenes about Miyagi’s past like how we did with Kreese in Season 3
Some very good points! Here I share some thoughts of mine about all of this, also about "Keisuke" and Wolff, and Miyagi s victim Claramunt: I have a suspicion Silver hired the wrong guy. Wolff speaks fluis Spanish, Catalan and Chinese, so he is maybe of mixed blood. The guy Mr Miyagi killed was Claramunt, that was his name. I checked a bit and found out this name has his roots in Spain, and you find if often in Catalonia. The capitol city of Catalonia is Barcelona, and remember how Wolff told Johnny how Barcelona is pronnounced correctly, and he seems to be a bit obsessed ppl pronnounce it correctly. I would not be surprised if Wolff gave Silver the old list of the tournament which Silver gifted to Daniel. But not because of a coincidence, but Wolff kept the list since this Claramunt was his grandfather or so, and now he is out for revenge on the Miyagi name. Maybe not exactly like that, but something like that. It would make sense Wolff kepet this old paper if he is connected to Claramunt, and of course when Silver told him he wants to humilate Miyagi-Do, of course Wolff would realize Miyagi is the name of the guy who killed his relative back in the day. Then he had about 3 months time to do some research about Johnny and the others. Now about "Keisuke Miyagi": For the longest time, actually until the sneak peak was published, I was very sure The Big 3 wanted to end Cobra Kai with the end of that dojo, means Sunyung will either die or getting killed by Chozen for example, Daeun killed Tory s mother for punish Tory and make it easiert to join Cobra Kai again, Kreese finds it out and turns his back on Cobra Kai once and for all, and basically in the end it will be something like this: - Cobra Kai is destroyed, its founder death, the dojo erased, no sensei teaches it anymore. - Miyagi-Do blossoms in the Valley, even Johnny, Kreese (should he still be alive), "Queen Cobra" Tory, Miguel, Kenny, and all the others who started at C.K. will be in Miyagi-Do, because they all realized Cobra Kai transformed them all into violent, agressive people. Basically in Season 6: There is no grey anymore like S1-5, its now black and white. Cobra Kai is evil and bad, Miyagi-Do is good and the right way/path. Thats what I thought. But now I doubt it. I think The Big 3 are interested in redeem the name Cobra Kai. And this is very difficult after all what the influence of this dojo had on people for decades, transforming nice guys (like young Silver, young Kreese, young Johnny, Miguel, Tory, Robby, Hawk, Kenny, Dutch, Bobby, Tommy, etc.) into violent bullies who beat the cr.. out of others. The only believable way to redeem that name is if someone more evil shows up. Someone who is 10 times worser as Cobra Kai, Sunyung, Silver, Kreese, etc.., someone who hits his own students in the face with full power only if they dont obey (like Wolff did with Axel), someone who doesnt teach "Strike First, Strike Hard, No Mercy", but someone who teaches something like "Each single strike has to kill", means any strike gets performed with the intention to kill and not to hurt. Even Kreese in the 80s didnt want Johnny and the Cobra s to actually kill Daniel. Only to beat him and humilate him. And Wolff could be a guy who instructs his students to kill, not to beat or humilate. Of course its all pure speculation. I dont know what The Big 3 are up to. But if they want to redeem the name Cobra Kai, there arent many ways to do it, and this imo would be one of these few ways: Kim Sunyungs birthname was Keisuke Miyagi, and he was the brother of Nariyoshi "Mister" Miyagi. He was more violent and commited the crimes. Then he fled to Korea and changed his given name from Keisuke to Sunyung, and his family name from Miyagi to Kim. Sensei Wolff is on a mission to destroy Miyagi-Do and Cobra Kai (Cobra Kai was founded by Keisuke Miyagi "Kim Sunyung"). The reason is because one of the Miyagis, Nariyoshi, killed his family member Claramunt, who was maybe a sensei of his sensei, or even a relative like granfather or something like that. And later he is determined to kill all of the senseis, Kreese, Daeun, Johnny, Daniel and Chozen, because they are all either in the linage of Miyagi or Sunyung. Lewis Tan would be the perfect guy to portray such a strong and deadly fighter. And this could create a realistic scenario why Chozen will end up with Daeun in the end and not with Kumiko, and now it looks like that. 99% of the fans are so sure Chozen and Kumiko will end up together. But mabye the biggest surprise is Chozen will end up with Daeun. Because when they find out Sunyung and Miyagi were brothers, it would mean Chozen and Daeun are like karate cousins, and Daeun would be the grand niece of Mr Miyagi. Basically in the end Chozen saves the life of Daeun by protecting her from Wolff who is just on his move to kill her. And Chozen is the only guy who can beat Wolff in a no rule fight to the death. Even if Johnny maybe is able to outpoint Wolff in a sport tournament, in the street Wolff would beat them all, Daniel, Johnny, Daeun, Kreese, Barnes, Silver, only Chozen can beat him. And Chozen would kill Wolff with the scroll technique, so that we gonna see this technique too before the show ends. And maybe this is the reason why Chozen "lost" to Silver and didnt get his big win in a fight yet. Because they saved it for the final life-and-death-fight for the show against Wolff. All pure speculation. But I dont count out Wolff and the Iron Dragons are 10 times more evil as Sunyung, Daeun, Kreese, Silver and Cobra Kai. Remember: Even Silver, Daeun and Kreese were totally shocked when Kwon was death. But Wolff wasnt there, it seems he didnt care about Kwon, and maybe even think it was just great that his student Axel killed him, even if it was an accident.
@@jordanwilliams25328 “I hope in season 6 part 3 we get Miyagi’s flashback like we did with kreese). Me: they half to. To explain everything in general. (Especially now they got the actor to play a young Miyagi for now.)
It’s possible his real name is Nariyoshi but when he left Japan and met his wife he changed to Keisuke and kept it for the army, after the Sekai taikai and everything that happened he found himself again and went back to Nariyoshi
You left out one key fact and key piece of history. Mr Miyagi and his wife was put in a Japanese concentration camp in California. That’s where she probably got pregnant. He was recruited into the army when they decided to ask Japanese American men in the camps if they wanted to serve. All of them immediately said yes because they wanted to prove they were American as anyone else. They were sent to Germany, not Asia, because the US Govt was afraid they wouldn’t fight their own (stupid assumption). Anyway, Mr Miyagi’s wife died in a a Japanese concentration camp while he was fighting in Europe. Keep in mind the medical facilities in these camps were horrible. Probably just a table and an overworked doctor. And most likely, she would have survived and successfully given birth in a regular hospital Just this alone would give any man a big reason to be INCREDIBLY angry. Fighting for your country, earning the Medal of Honor while your wife and son die in a concentration camp. Her belongings were probably pilfered and the necklace youn Miyagi stole probably belonged to her
@@EnzoGTS25 Your idea about Keisuke is very possible too! I had my idea since Chozen asked Daniel in S6E03 if Miyagi had a brother, and Daniel only replied he doesnt know about one, but he couldnt count it out.
i think kwon’s death, although brutal and hard to watch, really solidifies how harmful kreese’s (even silver) teachings were. i don’t think kreese would’ve changed had an adult died instead. i think seeing a child get killed is what is going to bring some sense into kreese. i truly believe that after johnny saved him from silver and after seeing kwon get killed, he’s going to hand cobra kai over back to johnny. or go to jail lol. either or. but i do see a “redemption” of sorts for him in part 3. not really a redemption, but a stand down.
Honestly Mr. Miyagi accidentally killing someone, makes a lot of since… seeing how later in the movies he’s so against “competition fighting” But also can we all agree that the casting for the young Mr Miyagi was awesome!! That dude really does look a lot like Pat!
This is why Mr. Myagi said "Karate for defense only". This is something ALL of them, including Daniel, have still yet to truly learn. Hopefully this is what teaches them that lesson, very likely just as it was taught to Myagi in his fight.
it’s not even recency biased, but this is the best season. there’s so much emotion and being a teenager and the same age as dbe characters in the show i feel what that feel
🤩😤 Season 6 is EASILY the TOP BEST Season , period ‼️ Part 2 is absolutely Mind blowin' , can't wait for part 3 , too Excited ‼️ Awesome reaction from you Both 🙌🏾🔥💯
That locker room scene in the previous episode might have been acted so well and so emotionally because the actors may have been realizing that with the series coming to an end soon, they were in the same position as their characters working together for one of the last times. It's really difficult to guess where the story goes from here. On the surface it seems hard to imagine they would continue the tournament. Also, all the characters at this point have to be doubting their association with karate going forward. It's been a never ending circle of revenge. It will be interesting to see how the writers handle this. I do have one prediction for the last 5 episodes. I would expect the birth of Johnny and Carmen's baby and a wedding. They could use that wedding as a device to give us a last look at all the characters both major and minor. Think of all the people who could be in attendance. Certainly all the main characters but also we could see returns from Ali, Daniel's Mom, Louie, Anoush, Cousin Nessa, Aisha, Homeless Lynn, Zarkarian, Mike Barnes, the remaining OG Cobra Kai's with Bobby performing the wedding, kumiko, Shannon Keene, The All Valley Committee characters, Stingray, Trey and Cruz would be a funny inclusion.
@@Wvaspartan the question I have with is, even during/after Kwons death. It mostly probably won’t effect him whatsoever, especially his actions of a fighter, and his action/behavior to axel as well. Cause he’s nowhere to be seen during kwon’s death. So, he’ll mostly be like I have no intentions about it or won’t mind about it. (Not to mention he literally killed/kicked the heart out of the opponent from cage fight little over 3 months before the tournament). Now with axel, yes, it will affect him in some way, but it was either kill or be killed during that point. With Drago, it was on him and purpose of killing Apollo with his fist. With Axel, it’s defending himself and was accident, due to kwon doing so himself. (Whether axel knew or not of him with the knife).
brandon is also a martial artist(kwon) maria think her name is maria irl aswell participated in tournys all over the world with her husband they named him diego in the show idk his irl name is could be the same also participated in tournys all over the world
YESSSSS!!! Omg finally i have been waiting for this ep for soooo long haha. Love yall. You have some of the best reaction videos out there and i have watched every cobra Kai reaction yall have done. Cant wait to watch yall react to part 3!
So you also think it’s crap? Got it. Maybe, just maybe let people like or not like what they want? Regardless of one’s opinion about it, besides it not looking good, this kind of thing opens a dangerous door that many people don’t enjoy. Let them not like it.
Well as you said sport, its crap. It looked like crap. It always does. It was 100% unnecessary. Young Miyagi was good enough. We didn't need some AI creepy distorted nonsense
@ZaneEX Nikki clearly said she hopes they were because she didn’t know. There were no assumptions made. I understand this kind of thing more than she does and she was just expressing her opinion.
I knew someone was going to die in this tournament when they kept mentioning how things were different back then and how times had changed. They kept making it a point to say that. As if it's 100% safe now.
I've said it many times, so here's one more. Let's be honest. The whole sekai taikai brutality is BS. What sort of sensei, let alone parents, would allow their children to take part in an event where people have died? It's too ridiculous to oversee...
I hope Sam gives up the captain spot for Tori to rejoin Miyagi Do so it can be Robbie and Tori like they wanted. I know this is cool for Sam, but she doesn't need the win and it sounds like a champion win could really help Tori with financials to get custody of her brother and maybe go to school. Sam mostly wants to make her father proud and I think he'd be proud of her for putting someone else's needs first and giving the chance to someone less fortunate.
I just want to say that i love your reactions and your videos and i think that your my favorite reaction chanel in youtube so thank u for your videos :)
7:36 Steven's dream comes true with our first glance of young Miyagi from the prequel series! 35:22 I'm thinking of the similarities between Miyagi fighting right after his wife and son dying and the parallel of Tory choosing to fight after her mother's death and the consequences each suffer because of it.
From what I know, Kwon and Zara's actors are irl experienced Taekwondo champions. Also, Sensei Wolf ordering Axel to attack gave me major Ivan Drago vibes, like he even went beast mode going from defence to offence. Almost feels like a mini-montage/reference.
Want to wish you guys nikki and steven have a great Thanksgiving day and happy holidays coming up thanks for doing the cobra kai Reactions I enjoy them
@@Lakerfanforlife Regarding the whole "mistake" thing, Kim was acting so irrational. They both said they must remain professional. Then Chozen comes up with an excuse of how the two met and she believed he meant it? Come on...
R.I.P to Kwon, and listen, he may have have gotten his ass handed to him by Robby and Axel, and beside his High Ego and Cockiness, he was such an amazing, Terrifying, and Aggressive Fighter and had insane potential (which made him so strong and Terrifying). Everyone saying hes overhyped and all that and didnt last a whole season, but he was such an insane fighter and became one of my favs. His Insane Agility, Speed and kicking combos and flashy fighting style was just insane to watch. Its so sad to see him go out this way, he was only 17 and so young. Im glad we got to see what he was capable of, but sad we didnt get to see more, he had so much potential and would have liked to see him fight in the Finals. Only for him to die by being blinded by his Bloodlust of Rage, and Anger. I wouldve liked to see his fight against Axel more, and if Axel didnt kick his leg mid air which made Kwon lose balace and fall on the Eujangdo blade I still wouldve liked to see what wouldve happened, (It couldve went a similiar direction, in Axel turing the Knife againt Kwon, or couldve kicked it out of his hand) or Kwon making contact with the Eujangdo Knife on Axel dealing serious damage and he goes all out and kills Axel, or Daniel getting stabbed in between trying to stop Kwon from using the Eujangdo against Axel. But overall, this was such an insane ending to Part 2, and this clears every other ending from every season. This was by far the DARKEST ending in Cobra Kai. I dont know where they could possibly go from here after Kwons Death, do they continue with the Sekai Takai, or do they call it off?
There were a few other deaths earlier in the show. Jonny's friend Tommy (the one who said "put him in a body bag"), Kreese's commanding officer in the war, Tory's mother, and young Kreese's gf off-screen.
I definitely agree Kwon's death is at least indirectly on Kreese for bringing a knife to a young adult tournament and teaching his students this is war and their opponents are the enemy. I'm not gonna lie, I'm gonna be kind of frustrated if they give him a redemption in the final part. I don't think it's deserved. He's still teaching kids aggression and that everything is war and he beat up Dimitri a few seasons ago so I'm not gonna say he's learned the boundary to not attack kids like he attacked Johnny in part 2. He's trying to kill Silver after bringing him back to his old Cobra Kai persona. I don't see him as having changed. And I think that's an important lesson. Not everyone is going to change or deserves redemption, especially when they've chosen aggression most of their lives. I don't think you can have hope for every abuser to snap out of it. I know it's a show, but the "every villain is redeemable" trope bugs me, and I don't think it's realistic.
Not a good attitude to have in life. Everyone deserves a chance at redemption, or nobody does. Remember Mr. Myagi's words to Daniel in Karate Kid 2 after he honked Kreese's nose: "For someone without forgiveness in their heart, living is a worse fate than death." Perhaps this will finally make Kreese face his real pain and let go of it. If it doesn't then nothing short of him dying to save Johnny will earn him redemption.
@darthroden If he had shown remorse I believed then forgiveness would be an option. As of now, we haven't seen him even want forgiveness when it didn't help him manipulate others.
I didn't mind the Miyagi deepfake too much, but I can see how people would think it's weird. Any time you do things like this, you run the risk of veering into rewriting history, yet I do know a lot of Miyagi's history is indeed, unwritten. It makes me feel better to think of it this way. If we had met Chozen in his current form 30 years ago, grown to love him and all, and then only just today found out what kind of a person he used to be, it would be hard to believe. But as it stands, we have no problem loving Chozen for who he is today, with the only difference being the order in which the story was told. I also think it's highly unlikely that Miyagi was anywhere near on Chozen's level of asshattery. I think whatever this death was in the old ST, was definitely an accident. Possibly an unintentionally fatal headshot, because Miyagi never went for the head after that. Not even at the fence when it was 5 on 1. Actually, no, he did kick Kreese in the head in KK3, that upside-down kick. Damn. But man, that kick was so freakin' cool though. Edit: Also I think he punched one guy in the head in the garden fight in KK2.
I like how to close out the show part 3 is going to come out February 13th then karate kid Legends is going to be in the movie theaters on the 25th of March no word on the miyagi prequel spin-off but I think that was their way of introducing the guy that's going to play the young miyagi. To get people invested into the show.
Well the lady who plays Zara is actually a 13 time taekwondo champion and the lady who plays the sensei for the Russian team that got disqualified is Aew wrestler Britt Baker
you have to remember btw his wife and kid died before the tournament they said I believe so he wasnt in the perfect state of mind and maybe thats why he only taught daniel defense or maybe in his mind the fight was life or death bc I remember him saying "I dont fight for points daniel son fought for life and death"
Pat Morita's family/estate signed off on the AI in Cobra Kai. They know it was done with respect to his legacy and were shown and asked before this was aired. I assumed that was the case given Ralph's very protective nature, but I looked into it, and they 100% were behind this decision. Personally, I love it. It was just a three second blast into the past, and done to move the story, perhaps into the final five. Pat Morita is basically the anchor of Karate Kid and Cobra Kai, so I understand the apprehension, but it hits better knowing the family was all in.
Steve is right on about how the sekai takai changes Miyagi for the better. Young Miyagi was probably very angry and had a lot to be angry about. Self exiled from his home and home country. Found peace again with a wife in America but got put in Japanese detention camp. Fought and earned the Medal of Honor in WWII but lost his pregnant wife and son. The necklace he stole was probably a sentimental item that had belonged to his wife. He probably wandered the world a bit in anger and entered the sekai takai and fought with all his pent up resentment about his life up until that point.
Everyone and I mean everyone was speechless after that episode. No-one was expecting such a long fight against each other and ending with death. I would give the writers and the choreographer an Oscar for their work! Was just pure amazing. My eyes were glued watching that for the first time! I couldn't believe my eyes. They were all brilliant!! So...what happens now? Will Kreese get into trouble because it was his knife? I'll be very sad when this show ends, but it has to end at some point. They've brought back every single character from the trilogy which I have loved. It's just been amazing!! ❤
Thomas Ian Griffith is Silver the guy he teamed up with that was underground fighting is from Into The Badlands by AMC which had three seasons and the last Mortal Kombat movie that came out.
I don't mind the use of Miyagi's likeness in this instance since it was a dream sequence, and I agree with Steven; the way they used it in that sequence, in particular, was super impactful. there is no doubt in my mind that, with how close Macchio and Morita's families are, the creators absolutely got permission to use his likeness. I feel so bad for Kwon; he is an example of what could have happened to Chozen if he continued to go down the path he was headed in KK2.
I loved being able to see Pat also fun fact, the guy with the tournament they’re talking to about the records. Was the coach for the Iceland team in the Mighty Ducks movie?
I feel Miyagi was getting tested & his opponent was ruthless. His opponent was trying to kill him & Miyagi's defensive nature resulted in a killing strike that he regretted immediately. Like a muscle memory reaction. That brought him to the realization that tournaments are dangerous & he wants no part of it. He only agreed to the All Valley because times have changed & that tournament was much tamer than the Sekai Tekai. The other option would be that the opponent died, but it wasn't really because of Miyagi. Something else actually killed him, but it happened during the fight (i.e. aneurysm, heart condition, etc.)
Why would any organized tournament allow weapons in the building, any other situation, yes karate uses weapons, but would keep them under lock and key. In reality kreese wouldn’t be allowed to just carry around a knife.
I’ve been to tons of jiujitsu competitions where there’s also a martial arts expo in the same building so weapons wouldn’t be hard to move around, kinda like earlier in this part.
@ true I just find it weird how kreese was able to just walk all over the complex with a knife and no one even batted an eye but in hindsight I can see how many people blame kreese for Kwons death
My expectation is that Kwon's death will mean an immediate halt to the Sekai Taikai tournament. I'm expecting the fallout to be similar to the school brawl from season 2, but on a larger scale with the tournament itself dealing with the PR nightmare of the brawl and the death of a competitor. What's more, news organisations will start digging into the history of the tournament and previous fatalities and Miyagi's name will be dropped, causing Daniel to spiral again and he'll consider shutting down Miyagi-do because the name will be tainted. I think eventually Julie Pierce (Miyagi's other student who also knew him by his other name) will pull him out of his funk.
This just came up in my head just now. But, imagine if Carmen herself was watching the brawl live and saw the end results of the death. Oh, my god! I can’t imagine or believe it either of what she would be feeling or going through now! Cause she/we all know bout the coma incidence of Miguel fighting his life during the coma, and just realizing that could’ve been her son there back then. Obviously, she would be fine along with the baby. But still, you can’t deny on how shaken up/torn she is now due to that, and worrying/anxiety that could cause problems or negativity to the baby itself due to the thoughts that occur just for a little bit here now. Yes, she (the baby, and Carmen is a fighter), but… still!
The AI image if Mr Miyagi was pretty cool, I got goosebumps when I saw it and was surprised. But don't worry, they always ask the family if they can do that sort of stuff.

Steven , Daniel's answers lead to the film you're not a fan of.
The name on Miyagi's passport in his secret box, "Keisuke Miyagi ' was how Miyagi was introduced in the opening scene of
" The Next Karate Kid" when he receives his medal of honor( the one Hawk stole) at the WWII ceremony.
This is the connection to bring Julie Pierce ( Hillary Swank) back. Julie's grandfather was war buddies with Miyagi, and she learned Miyagi Do as a young child making her character completely relevant Perhaps revisiting might give you different perspective.
" The Next Karate Kid"
BTW honestly Julie Pierce fighting was more fluid and loose than both Daniel & Johnny in KK. Hillary Swank is a natural athlete. There's a reason Clint Eastwood cast her in Million Dollar Baby, which she won both an Oscar & Golden Globe. .The most accomplished actor in the franchise

39:24 I think you're forgetting Tommy in S2 Steven.
Kwon's entire character was meant to represent the absolute extreme of Cobra Kai and the no mercy mentality, and what it could ultimately lead to.
The ultimate Cobra in every way, not all of them good.
Self-destruction, in Kwon's case.
Especially if they see that one kid (Axel) died, and another (Kwon) having his life ruined by possibly going to jail.
he looks like jin kazama from tekken
Terry will probably use the incident to get Kreese into trouble and send him back to prison, whilst absolving himself of all blame.
Kreese will never learn even after this fr
100% on Kreese. It’ll be interesting to see how he responds to this and Johnny helping him vs Silver.
Perfect comment.
@@Jediel1823 It's not that he brought the dagger. It's that he didn't go back to search for it, the moment he realised it's not there anymore. Kwon lost the match by being heartless
On the contrary to what Kreese instructed "because his opponent had more heart"
I thought kreese was told the them to crush their heart
You can tell right away that if silver is not smiling and kresse as well it’s means they are being completely serious about Kwons death.
Kreese probably knows he’s guilty for this and potentially worried he’ll get in trouble.
It's funny I was definitely more on silver's side over krease... He dragged silver back just to shit on him and disrespect him silver originally really wanted to leave the rivalries behind but they didn't let sleeping dogs lie 🤣
Fr silver was living a peaceful life and kreese just had to ruin that for him with memories of guilt and ptsd
I agree, though I think most of us can agree that Silver is responsible for his own actions. He still had the option of saying no to Kreese when he first came to him to get him back into Cobra Kai.
The Iron Dragons sensei was in the new Mortal Kombat. He was the main character

Drago!!!!!
Lol
He didn't even see the dagger. From his point of view, he was stopping Kwon's kick.
Only the power of the montage can defeat Axel.
Here’s my theory on Mr. Miyagi’s past -
So here’s what we know about him for sure : He was born and raised in Tomi Village, Okinawa.
Here I share some thoughts of mine about all of this, also about "Keisuke" and Wolff, and Miyagi s victim Claramunt:
I have a suspicion Silver hired the wrong guy.
Now about "Keisuke Miyagi":
For the longest time, actually until the sneak peak was published, I was very sure The Big 3 wanted to end Cobra Kai with the end of that dojo, means Sunyung will either die or getting killed by Chozen for example, Daeun killed Tory s mother for punish Tory and make it easiert to join Cobra Kai again, Kreese finds it out and turns his back on Cobra Kai once and for all, and basically in the end it will be something like this:
- Cobra Kai is destroyed, its founder death, the dojo erased, no sensei teaches it anymore.
But if they want to redeem the name Cobra Kai, there arent many ways to do it, and this imo would be one of these few ways:
Kim Sunyungs birthname was Keisuke Miyagi, and he was the brother of Nariyoshi "Mister" Miyagi.
And most likely, she would have survived and successfully given birth in a regular hospital
Just this alone would give any man a big reason to be INCREDIBLY angry.
Kwon was Definetly a young Chozen. The similarities were impeccable. Luckily Chozen was saved by Daniel then Kumiko.
He could have been saved by Daniel

Facts
i think kwon’s death, although brutal and hard to watch, really solidifies how harmful kreese’s (even silver) teachings were. i don’t think kreese would’ve changed had an adult died instead. i think seeing a child get killed is what is going to bring some sense into kreese. i truly believe that after johnny saved him from silver and after seeing kwon get killed, he’s going to hand cobra kai over back to johnny. or go to jail lol. either or. but i do see a “redemption” of sorts for him in part 3. not really a redemption, but a stand down.
Honestly Mr. Miyagi accidentally killing someone, makes a lot of since… seeing how later in the movies he’s so against “competition fighting”
But also can we all agree that the casting for the young Mr Miyagi was awesome!! That dude really does look a lot like Pat!
This is why Mr. Myagi said "Karate for defense only". This is something ALL of them, including Daniel, have still yet to truly learn. Hopefully this is what teaches them that lesson, very likely just as it was taught to Myagi in his fight.

Best cliffhanger ever
Myagi's words to Daniel in Karate Kid 2 after he honked Kreese's nose: "For someone without forgiveness in their heart, living is a worse fate than death."
Perhaps this will finally make Kreese face his real pain and let go of it. If it doesn't then nothing short of him dying to save Johnny will earn him redemption.
@darthroden If he had shown remorse I believed then forgiveness would be an option. As of now, we haven't seen him even want forgiveness when it didn't help him manipulate others.
Wolfe is the dude in the knew mortal kombat.
Shows more emotion when someone sneezes on a horse than when a kid dies.
Thanks to this show everybody who watches it now know how to pronounce my last name...😅
Dr Britt Baker DMD
I want a Miyagi Prequel episode set in the 30s - 40s in Japanese!
I'm with you both. I'm now waiting for part 3 to want to see what happens next.
The cage fighter played In the New Mortal Kombat
Kwon was the kind of character that you wish was in EVERY show
100% he’s super entertaining
I hope Hilary Swank makes in her appearance. “Julie“ was Miyagi’s other student.
I hear Julie maybe IS demetri's mom
one of the creators on twitter said she wont be in part 3
@@EchelonForce94HEH??? Are you ok buddy?
@@stixoimatizontas that's what i heard...i'm fine...and you?are you okay?
Love that this is out and your reactions!
johnnyyyy coming back with diaz and tory his stuents in his cobra kai to win this
Family friendly? 31:47 Lol Nikki there's like over 13 F bombs in this entire show.
From a story perspective it made sense because Kwon was a very promising competitor and I think with him Cobra Kai would have achieved an ascension.
Kreese qeaponized him literally and figuratively. He did it with Johnny, Robby, Tory and now Kwon.
you have to remember btw his wife and kid died before the tournament they said I believe so he wasnt in the perfect state of mind and maybe thats why he only taught daniel defense or maybe in his mind the fight was life or death bc I remember him saying "I dont fight for points daniel son fought for life and death"
This is the most bloody. I have to admit i was impressed. Its the end so they are going all out.
Okay here's how it's going to go crazy Johnny and Daniel and everybody's going to go after silver
Been waiting for their reaction to this episode
Yeah, no-one was expecting it to end with someone dying. Not that it was leaked all over the internet. We were all socked😂😂😂😂😂
@stixoimatizontas Well I didn't know. I chose not to know anything about the final series, I like to go in blind...best way!
Thomas Ian Griffith is Silver the guy he teamed up with that was underground fighting is from Into The Badlands by AMC which had three seasons and the last Mortal Kombat movie that came out.
I just saw this episode today! 😮💨 Wow!!!!
Cobra kai is the best with cliff hangers. Woah!
The mid-finale was definitely a banger, chaotic, and a riot! The brawl beats the Season 2 finale; this was filled with a lot of rampage.
I loved being able to see Pat also fun fact, the guy with the tournament they’re talking to about the records. Was the coach for the Iceland team in the Mighty Ducks movie?
I loved it too. I have seen people say they don’t like it and I don’t get why.
Yup, he played Wolf 'the dentist' lol. Was hoping to see him punch someone since last season.
@@KCohere33 yes literally gave me a chill when I seen that face again
@@NightshadeTS it’s funny because it took me a second. I said I know him and then as soon as he started talking, I said nope I know that voice.
THATS WHO THAT IS! 🤯 thank you!!
Its here! I cried during this episode as a big kwon fan! God bless! ✝️
I feel this is where Kreese hits rock bottom and sees the light (Johnny) and ultimately the dark with Kwon’s death
Hilarious that the Russian Team got disqualified for Performance Enchantment Drug use
RIP Kwon, the only way I see him surviving is if they had rushed him to the hospital. Everyone just stood around, no EMT no cops no nothing lmfao. 😂
No way. He is dead. If you look into his eyes you will see it.
this is a worldwide tournament and they had less paramedics and security than the all valley.
@markmac2206 yes in movie land. Real life that won't ever happen.
