I have played a dozen games with the former version of the game. Very nice game . I like the combat system a lot. It reflects very well the nature of spanish civil war as a war of atrittion and the initiative the nationals had.
I have the first edition of this one. The Nationalits ALWAYS have the inititive which is a major advantage. Move into the republicans and their units can not move freely like yours binding them just did... It had a historical setup where events happend in a historical order. Really interesting way to learn :)

Nice…my go to SCW is Crusade & Revolution but will have to try this
