i definitely should have started earlier with focusing on rapido.
the HORIZON cars i have, the cement car and the big covered hopper ALL look absolutely stunning!
Every detail looks top, lettering is excellent, lighting (on the horizons) is superb.

FYI.. it would be two CONDUCTORS sometimes three if a trainee is present, with two belt packs & extra batteries; operating while riding on either end of the train, or on the ground on either end of the train while kicking cars, or riding on the same end (could be the front or the rear) of the train during a transfer.
There is no engineer present; remote control operation is entrusted to conductors and conductor trainees.
Been there, done that. 🤓

Will there be an option to purchase the slug separately?
I was told at Trainfest in October they would not offer it separately at that time
The slug is only available in the sets for this release, but we may offer if separately in the future however.

Oooooh, is that sharp!! I might have to invest in a set. What's the pulling capacity for the duo? Would it handle a cut of 60 cars if put into yard service?
We haven't tested them on trains that long yet, but they should be very good pullers. We'll have to do some more testing!

I’m looking forward to seeing this model at Supertrain 2023. I will be bringing my first realistic looking HO scale layout. I’m interested in seeing it’s prototypical detail and sound effects.

Was fun running the RCO but way better with an actual engineer in the seat who knows what they're doing. Much better feel for how the trains responding.
I never want to hear tilt timeout ever again, brakeman gave me a heart attack when his radio died and I had that happen, thankfully he was close by.
Wow, these look great. Hopefully that means Conrail slugs next.

Looks great, Very nice. The horn isn't very loud though unfortunately.
It's very loud in person, we just didn't want to blow out the on-camera sound!

@@rapidotrains thats great, especially since rn the last surviving MR-90 is in extreme danger of behing scrapped and the mr-90s become extinct.
Looks amazing! Got my pre-orders in. Please make sure you move the all-weather window to the other side of the cab as these are set up for long-hood forward operation - and the control stand too.
I hope you can step up production eventually
