Hey I felt so bad seeeing you struggle because I know how to do an infinity braid, I wished I could tell you that there was only one strand that moves at the beginning, but you got it, I really thought your solution was cool
I think what she is doing is making a braid that is like your hairpin curls. She is using the original two strands of hair like the prongs of the hairpin to be wrapped around. the add in strands always add to the wrapping hair every time, never to the "prong" hair.
That's EXACTLY what the infinity braid is. I practice 1stvon loose hair. But my daughter has loose curls and it looks EXACTLY like the white girl, when I did it on my hair which is similar to vivs hair, it didn't look as good, but when i did it as individual braids with lavender, pink hair, it was absolutely gorgeous, and every one loved it. 😊
This is an African hair style trust me look up African styles braids and tribal styles. It comes from Africa. Not Europeans. She even said boo on the video for her child. I hate when these people never give props to whom they got these customs from. First of all they shaved the heads of my ancestors so as to dehumanize us. Hairs styles identified where we came from. Then made us work for them for free and style their hair so they would looks pretty ( they meaning white women ) after learning this style they pushed as their own . Example: "DUTCH BRAID" - "FRENCH BRAID." this was our basket weaving techniques. And then erased from our history. Yes erased from us Africans and indiginous people's history and not taught in the white education system. Its sad that an island girl doesn't or hasn't yet learned this bit of history

I don't think you would have had nearly as much trouble in the beginning if it had been explained better in the video you were referencing. That said, you have the patience of a saint, and your hair ended up looking great at the end!
@@kimbyrd2298 cornrows look like 3d braids, infinity braids look like fish tails. If they were cornrows viv would've had no problem doing them with her texture.

I can't hold my arms up for too long bc I have neck spasms so every time I try a new hairstyle I end up giving up pretty quick 😂😂😂😂. I want to do so many cool styles but I've stopped trying bc I know I'm gonna end up giving up and will end up mad that I couldn't do it 😂😂😂
