This generation of Leeds fans need to start singing this great song of ours again aswell as mot & everyone join in. Great memories Leeds Leeds Leeds 👏 👍
I was an Arsenal fan, but a great admirer of the Leeds United team of 1973 to 1975. The title winning side of 1974 was simply magnificent, we’ll never see their likes again.
Many good teams back in the day all with great players including Arsenal every club had and could keep their star players, Man C, Man U, Spurs, Everton, Wolves, Derby, Liverpool, West Ham and especially Leeds.
Joe the mackem from Sunderland. Just want to say good luck to all Leeds fans v Saints in the playoff final. I'll be cheering You on against Rishi Lurpaks lot. I'll never forget May 5th 1973 as a Sunderland 17 year old seeing us win against in my honest opinion the finest and best team in all of Europe the mighty Leeds United. Your fans were so sporting and kind after the game. I've always Said there's only one sure thing in football and that's nothing is sure. Hence theresult of the 73 final. So. all the very best of good luck to every Leeds fanaround the world on Your special day. May You Play all the way for Leeds United. The premier Division awaits you.
Edward Atterton I don’t know whether this is a true story, but I’ve always liked it. When Leeds were playing United, Jackie would say to Billy B in the tunnel “If you get the chance, give our kid one in the first five minutes”. Bye bye Jackie and thanks for the memories
@@jermyturn Knowing Jack, you can bet your life it's true, it's so sad that these iconic wonderful members of the Leeds family are leaving us, Peter Lorimer is now desperately ill too.
That Leeds United team/squad was the greatest that graced any football field and on their best day could beat any ( & I mean any ) team in the world. Every single one of them were tough, skillfull & beautiful footballers who could all score goals. They made football enjoyable to watch and they could sing a little as well !!!. They are all legends. This is from a person who has supported Huddersfield Town for over 50 years.
The Leeds v Liverpool fixture always got me in the late sixties early seventies . Shankly was such a good manager . When we beat them it always filled me with joy.
A great song. Always loved the Leeds. Lovely to see that. I had that on a single record lost it when the house burnt down was so sad but so good to see the song on here, Sad some of the players are no longer with us but lovely to watch that thank you.
Ohhhhhh How i love them💙💛. Tears falling when i see Billy and Uncle. Go get the 8 last games for then Bielsa, make them and us proud. ALAW MOT PROUD TO BE LEEDS NORWAY 👊👊👊👊👊
Yep.....you could name the players and their numbers in most teams. I'm from Lancashire and Billy Bremner was my hero in the 70's. I remember seeing him on the coach when he came to Burnley. I think he had a pink shirt on with his bright ginger hair.
I supported Leeds back in the Don Revie years, over 4 decades ago now. They were the best team then but did not win as many trophies as they should have done. Most famously (or rather infamously!) they lost to Sunderland in the 1973 FA Cup final and were humiliated in losing 3-2 to Colchester in 1971 - at one point Colchester were 3-0 up! With the passing of Peter Lorimer, only about half the Leeds team members of the late 60s and early 70s are still alive. Those living team members are David Harvey, Johnny Giles, Paul Reaney, Allan Clarke, Mick Jones, Terry Cooper, Terry Yorath and Eddie Gray. Those who have now passed, along with manager Don Revie, are Billy Bremner, Paul Madeley, Gary Sprake, Norman Hunter, Jack Charlton, Trevor Cherry and now Peter Lorimer. Rest In Peace to all of them.
I can remember watching them beat Southampton( I think it was) 7-0 on Match of the Day in the 70's, where they started really passing the ball about and doing little tricks.
In 1971 as a teenager my mam and dad bought be a Leeds Scarf for Christmas, I sill have it although I have passed it on to my daughter as its my most prized possession and I know shell take good care of it.
My dad taught me this as a young kid, I’m now 24 and remembered a few bits other day and thought I was going mad untill I realised I was correct😂 should still belt this out
I was on a call to my dads friend with my dad and hes an asrenal fan and my dad said do the Coleman impression then I said Clarke one nill it felt good
that squad of players were as hard as nails on the pitch but off it they were all gentlemen i have had the privelage of meeting paul reaney mick jones peter lorimer alan clark norman hunter and everyone one of them were brilliant with me
This is probably the funniest moment in my life do you know when Leeds United got promoted into championship I didn't have a clue what was going on and I just heard my dad screaming so I started screaming and dancing aswell

Great song. What a team Leeds were in the early 70's when I was a kid. So many great scots in the team as well.

And Trevor Cherry and Jackie Charlton
And Peter Lorimer

Not even a Leeds fan but this song really stirs up nostalgic thoughts of what football was like back then.

God, that takes me back! A proper team, no squads in those days. You only brought on the sub, one sub, if someone was dead🤣
Yep.....you could name the players and their numbers in most teams. I'm from Lancashire and Billy Bremner was my hero in the 70's. I remember seeing him on the coach when he came to Burnley. I think he had a pink shirt on with his bright ginger hair.
I must say as a football fan that does not support Leeds, that is a nice montage to a decent football song!
“And Top Cat Cooper’s always on the go”. We say farewell to another Great 🙏

'Proud and tall in the goalmouth stands The Viking'. The Viking is Sprake not Harvey. What a team tho.
R.I.P Gary Sprake.
sprake lost his place to Harvey in the run up to the 72 cup final. then moved onto Birmingham city. David Stewart became Harvey's deputy.
Fuck Gary sparked hes was shit compared to harvey
