This video will go over many tips (around 40) that will definitely help you out as you play Wuthering Waves! I've been playing for 7 months and I've enjoyed every second of it!
Here is nearly all the script LOL:
1. USE Waveplates ASAP if capped on the things you need most. Also, there are multiple weekly bosses that only give rewards (not ECHOES, REWARDS) 3 times per week shared between all weekly bosses.
2. On that note, try not to hoard Waveplates. Don’t save them for Wuthering Waves 2.
3. Rush main quest. Get Union level up as quickly as possible. Increased rewards with the Solaris level + some bundles in the shop.
4. Level up your DATA BANK to Level 20 as quickly as possible. This is important to start guaranteeing gold echoes. Also boosts drop rates for high-tier echoes a limited number of times.
5. Fastest way to level up your Data Bank is to try to obtain previously unobtained echoes. Use the Echo Gallery to find which echoes you have never claimed before. After that, go for the lowest rarity echoes that you have.
6. How Echoes work. Cost limit and substats.
7. You can waste tuners and xp on non-gold echoes. Only level up a specific set if you want until you get gold. (E.x Spectro Set for Spectro-Rover)
8. DON'T ROLL Level 25 immediately. Video in description with explanation.
9. Understand which pulling currency is the most important. Don’t waste Astrites on tides.
10. Use pulling currency as much as you want. If you think you want a limited character or weapon, then gamble for them. This is because of the next point:
11. Banners have a pity counter. This means that if you pulled 80 times, you are 100% guaranteed to get the WEAPON on the WEAPON banner, but RESONATOR banners have a 50/50 chance of giving you either the limited resonator or one of the 5 original basic resonators. If you got unlucky with the 50/50 and got a basic resonator, then the next limited banner resonator will be guaranteed. Note that the 50/50 is separate from the pity counter. Meaning, if you ever get a basic resonator, with pity or not, your next resonator is guaranteed to be a limited resonator.
12. The game does not show you the pull order so don’t get confused. If you used a 10x pull and got the resonator on the 6th pull, then you are already 4 pulls into your next pity.
13. Out of the 5 basic resonators, Verina is easily the best. Lingyang is generally considered the worst.
14. On that note, you can use your beginner’s choice convene on Verina. She’s generally pretty good. Encore is also a good choice as a DPS.
15. Out of the 5 basic weapons, in general, only the crit rate ones are good. You would want the sword for your Rover and the Pistols for Chixia.
16. On that note, try to pull for them with any Tides that you get. Make sure that you don’t actually use any astrites to buy those tides as that would be a waste. The game will probably give you enough anyways.
17. Out of ALL weapons in general for DPS characters, you want weapons that have crit rate or crit damage. There are some minor exceptions that are not worth mentioning.
18. 4-Star resonators are not bad. Chixia alone can solo multiple tower floors fairly easily. Sanhua is perfect for multiple teams.
19. 4-Star DAMAGE-Weapons pretty much all suck. 4-Star SUPPORT-Weapons are generally good such as the Variation Rectifier and Overture Sword. The Overture sword can be used with Sanhua, for example.
20. Use Oscillated Coral only for pulling currency. Do not use it for anything else. You get this item from Convening.
21. Use Prydwen.
22. Aim for Crit Rate, Crit DMG, ATK%, Flat ATK (for DPS) and then SPECIFIC damage types. For supports it would depend on the support.
23. Energy Regen only affects Resonance Liberation.
24. Many actions increase your Concerto Energy including Dodging.
25. Try to have matching teams. Prydwen is again a great site for this.
26. Make sure you understand exactly how a character works. Mortefi does not work AT ALL for Jinhsi.
27. Some chests may be hidden. You might need to do something specific to get them.
28. Overlord/Calamity bosses are guaranteed to drop an echo every 2nd kill excluding the boost from your data bank.
29. All repeatable boss echoes can be farmed in a lower difficulty level.
30. Some 1 cost and 3 cost echoes have special properties, but in general you should just use 4 cost echoes in your main slot. The newer echoes solidify this fact (Parry 3 cost vs new Parry 4 cost Hecate).
31. Swap cancel as much as possible. It is extremely easy to do with most echoes. (Show how to do it)
32. Some echoes have been boosted in the latest version of the game. Lightning Memphis has a Nightmare version which is just objectively better in every single way due to being swap-cancellable.
