Davinci Resolve is officially PUBLIC! in the app store and already with quite a few updates and some hacks people have found 😅
    - FOR KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS! Press Option + Command + K
    - Reminder all of the features are accessible for M1 and M2 iPads!
    - (hack) To show the edit page go to the Keyboard shortcuts then search for "Show Pages" and then assign a keyboard command to show all pages (tehe)

not just Edit page, all 7 pages are available to use… It’s weird that they hide them this way, probably those pages are not stable so they don’t want people to use it. I used edit page for some speed ramping and it worked but the app crashed a few time when editing.

Tried DaVinci but only gave it 10 min before I was running back to luma fusion. Your video makes me want to try again. Thanks. We shall see how it goes. I find that workflow to be the best of both worlds, especially for me because I feel I can get more precise edits in the edit page compared to the cut page

And everyone always assumes that you have to have the Magic Keyboard when you have an iPad Pro. I’ve always used Logitech keyboards with my iPads. Just think if you are someone who draws and animates on your channel, the iPad Pro is perfect…the M2 iPad Pro is great for DaVinci, Procreate, Darkroom, Affinity, Canva, Garage, and more.

As for the cut page, you may or may not have one (so excuse the redundancy). But the speed editor keyboard makes the cut page a bit more easier to navigate since the scroll wheel and hit keys make it much more smoother to do a first pass edit. Hope that’s helpful!

Hi Sara. This is one of the best app introductions that fooled so many creators, even many that had beta versions. It has all the pages of the full version and with many bugs within the entire app. Some functions like the mixer don’t work yet or you just can’t open the page. Why hasn’t anyone just sat down and done a simple project with importing 3 scenes, transitions, titles, music, voice over, and export. What’s up with all the Lut’s, sound mixer, etc. demonstrations for pro users when the app needs to work for the basic user. Maybe you could make that video?

When you say Lumafusion isnt good for big projects. What is big projects? I learned editing with Luma on my M1 ipad, tried Davinci on my desktop windows pc. Overwhelmed, back to luma I went :D

I've been editing my videos in Lumafusion for about 2 years now, would this be an upgrade or not really?

I have not used Resolve but are an expert at Lumafusion. From what I have seen of Resolve, it has nodes, in these nodes you have far more flexibility to partially edit the clip, say, brighten only part of the clip with masking. This can be done with colours and other features too. This give you far more control on the look of the clip, like raw photos. If this is in the IPAD app I don’t know yet. But if it does I am keen to move over.

@@waynosfotos I have tried resolve on pc before and I did like the nodes! I had a sad realization tho, 4k exports are not available for my 2018 ipad pro 🥲

Hi Sara! Did you ever make a video about why you switched from Adobe for video editing? I'm about to jump into the video editing world and I'm not sure where to start.

Price is a big one. Premiere is hecka expensive unless you’ve got paying clients consistently. Otherwise, davinci is completely free and super powerful. Final cut pro is pretty good too, but mac only and $300. Still much cheaper than premiere though.

My “switching to resolve for 30 days” is the closest video I have to it! I switched after that video officially

@@MitchellSpille thanks for your reply! I've always liked Adobe products but it seems like the jump from the photography plan to the suite is too much to justify, especially as I'm still in the portfolio building stage.

Just bummed it won’t work on nonM1 IPads. I believe their are millions of us with the 2018-2019 pro models that are great and powerful enough. I hope this gets changed

Hi there, I’m waiting for BMD to release DR for iPad, I ain’t have any desktop now so i hope that let me edit my videos on my iPad Pro. I’m testing now a Logi keyboard MX Keys Mini and its to small for me, i used to use full desktop keyboard, but now I think its time to change, just need to get used to and hope its gonna be ok. I can say that using all of goodies like external monitor on my iPad, wireless mouse and keyboard mini and even a Rodcaster Pro is so nice option actually when u don’t own a desktop. Maybe in 2023 ill get a Mac Mini M2 when it released to get access to full version of Da Vinci.
