Honestly, it's because they expect her to sound identical to her studio albums. Even though she doesn't use auto tune as much in Ultraviolence and Honeymoon, she still sounds a lot different live. It's also because people don't usually understand that artists sing how they're feeling at the time of the performance, so some may be closer to the album, others are completely different.

The trainning of the voice doesn't matter that much, in fact I think the lack of it makes a person to sing from the heart not from the mind.
You can hear how much her vocals improved when you listen to this and then listen to honeymoon sessions from 2015...I love every album she does it's always so special and so trippy ❤️

This acoustic version does it for me. I love the studio version, but this surpasses it. I love the cold microphone echo. Very haunting. The high note she hits at 1:52 throughout the song gives me chills.
