Redsport or not they are the same car, I got mine with 12k miles 2 years ago for $37k. Redsports if you could even find one we’re in the $50k range with the same mileage. Now days if you can get your hands on a sport or rs for the same or similar price as a luxe, take it! All in all, it’s the same car. They are more similar than twins.

The transmission is dog shit none the less so unfortunately the paddles aren't going to matter to much on response since the transmission itself is slow to respond. Although, I have not driven many "fast" German cars so I can't compare.
@@carolinea30 I would choose the red sport, but obviously there’s reasons why I would. I have friends that have had S5s and most of them come with a boatload of issues Used. Transmission is definitely slow, but the paddles do their job. I wouldn’t call them fast, but I wouldn’t call them slow.
Note: wasn’t really interested in these cars until I saw this video. I’m curious with the 58/42 Front to rear weight ratio do you experience any understeer pushing the tires to their limits on a really tight on ramp?
I’ll answer your questions in order lol. 1. Yes they do come with a water to water oil cooler but it’s extremely small. The resports come with an air to water cooler that is better but not great. I have both and still can’t get a 3rd lap in before needing to cool down. Rwd has a lot of aftermarket options for oil coolers but very very little for awd if any at all. 2. I actually thought I would but with how I have the ass of the car slightly higher then the front it actually defeats it pretty well. Also a proper sway bar helps as well with that.
@@chickenwrap5616 great question. I hated it it stock form, the tires and wheels are way to heavy and thin so it feels like your driving a corn dog lol imo. As soon as you put 285s with a light wheel, shave down some rotational weight and give it a little aero by lowing it, I can’t tell the difference between this and my Lexus that’s hydronic.

Doesn’t matter which one I’m in anymore. I have aftermarket suspension and tune so really all it does is change how the transmission shifts, which when racing you should be shifting anyway.
@@xVR30TTx for oem q60rs drivers should we drive it in sport or sport + in the touge runs? I prefer sport since it feels tighter than sport +. So the switch just changes suspension/transmission modes?
@@OOTheNoob either of the sport modes are fine. You just want your suspension stiff as possible. You should be in manual mode on the Touge so transmission type won’t matter
Depends on what you define as okay. But I do believe the answer is Yes, I do have all of the supporting mods I’d need to track the car. It was never designed for the track so there’s extra difficulties but all can be managed.
I did 20% BUT these days you can find a higher mileage 2017 for $25-30k so honestly putting just $5k down you’d be good. I bought mine at the height of market unfortunately. I paid $36k for my 19 Premium with 22k miles
I actually have another video on the channel about them, if you can’t find it there’s a playlist just for the Q you can definitely find it there. I will have the oil pan in another month or so when I update the oil cooler again. She’s back in the garage for a moment unfortunately it needs a wrack and pinion.

Are the paddle shifters in the q60 fairly responsive? How would you compare them to the Germans(440i,s5)
