- Due to popular demand, I finally tried doing a 10-60 speedrun as a priest, and the results shocked me. Initially I expected Shadow Priests (and the class as a whole) to be one of the worst options for leveling, but as shown in this run that is clearly not the case.

Do you have any idea if group finder instance runs are faster than this, especially if running tank or healer? 2 minutes in, you sort of answer my question.

Mistweaver back in legion was OP. It could move while channeling soothing mist with a talent.
It's a speedrun so I expected some amount of degeneracy and exploiting OP things, but this is much wilder than I expected. This is what speedruns is about.
I lvld a holy priest and it was surprisingly good especially if u have the whole heirlooms set
"Rhapsody now stacks every 1 second (was 2 seconds) and causes Holy Nova to deal 20% increased damage per stack (was 10%)." 👀
I purely play Holy Priest for leveling, and it's far easier than Shadow, as you are never in the way to die. And once you get divine Star as Holy, things die faster than you can see and you as tanky as a Tank while using chastise and instant holy fire.
From my understanding Devouring Plague doesn't stack, but it prolongs the dot, so you can spam it to your heart's content. The rest you pretty much figured it out, put up your dots, Mind Blast on cooldown, and Mind Flay/Mind Spike as a filler. It's a priority based rotation based on how much insanity you can generate to spam DP. In AOE I would say Shadowy Apparitions is the reason why people don't even consider Holy Nova, eventho it is good at early levels.
Devouring plague does in fact stack, it will add the damage of the new application to the remaining old one ;) so you do not miss out on any value by pressing it consecutively.

How do you setup your party frame like that? Cant find it
My party frame stuff is all basic default UI settings.
As a classic andy i really enjoy the changed they have made to WOTLK. H+ is fun and a great addition to the game in general. pugging on the other hand is a trap i try to avoid at all costs. what server are you playing on?

On the talk on rare items back in the day, i remember i spamed pit of saron dungeon in wrath of the lich king in cataclysm, there was a rare boe epic sword , i made so much gold on that then. Insta sold when transmog was new.. i wonder now if krol blade still can be found too..

I believe you're referring to the Battered Hilt, which dropped from Pit of Saron along with Forge of Souls and Halls of Reflection. It started a questline to create Quel'delar, a 1h/2h sword (depending on your spec). Def a good moneymaker, a lot of people still farm it today.

What is that addon/weak aura at the bottom of your feet, the health and mana bar that follows you ?
Not an addon or a WA, that's a setting in the default UI which IIRC is called "Personal Resource Bar", or something like that.

I was gonna try out one of those new races they added sometime after MoP. Than they were locked from older expansions. Was pretty bummed 😅
Allied Race restrictions are being loosened in Patch 10.1.5, making them extremely easy to unlock. That patch comes out next week.
Just came back to WoW. I was the same way. I got Void elves 20minutes after logging in, and Kul Tirans took about 1.5 hours

Of course this was fast xD you have the 50% boost its about 3-4 quests a level atm
Not the point. I did a WW Monk run a few days ago with the 50% buff (which is the spec I've used for my WR runs), and it was only slightly ahead of my priest run. This means that, 50% buff aside, Priest is able to keep up with the best leveling spec in the game.
Why is arcane mage best at leveling?

Why queue? Just go to a dungeon and spam run it solo.
This is prob not doable without lvling gear.

@wannabeme7206 During most of these speedruns I assume people are already familiar with the core fundamentals of the route, so I don't take a lot of time to explain that stuff. The main purpose of these runs is to test individual classes/specs, such as Holy and Shadow Priest for this video.
If you want to get more easy to understand info on how to optimize leveling, I have a lot of guides on my channel that explain everything for new players.
@@Harldan1 nah ur good. Am a returning player and I thought watching a few videos would give an idea on what I’ll be dealing with. Its a lot different from the last time I played but will def go through your videos for more guidance.

Retail is for end game. Classic is for people who enjoy the early to mid game grind. Simple as that.
There are speed runs from wod that were done 1-100 in 2 hrs. So idk why this is “just sad” this is just speed running in modern wow. Nothing sad about it.

I did the BC dungeon tech and immediately got durnholde and everyone immediately left and I had to eat the 30 minute debuff. Extra F in the chat.

you could have done that with just the hunter and the druid but the rogue especially was so terrible.
Honor Hold Mage - it takes you to outland because you're in BC timewalking. You HAVE to be in WoD timewalking, i've noticed, otherwise it brings you to the flight point at level 60

Dps should gett an xp boost enough to be on par to tank and healer leveling times.
Well my current world records are with WW Monk, a DPS spec, so not really. Dungeons are just inherently a bit slower because of que time, nothing else.

What's the addon that handles mob cast bar under its healthbar? I have some addons that come close, but yours look nicer still, so I'd rather yoink your setup.
That's a setting within the default UI. Not sure which one it is though.
Not sure how to link it but at 2:33:26 I'm pretty sure the mobs in Thelsmar occasionally path outside of their houses and back in, including the one with the notes
They do not, it's 100% a change. I've done the quests a ton of times over the years and those ones in particular remain stationary inside the houses.
Curious, is there a reason you start at 10?

I love getting carried in dungeons. Keep pressing W and 1. Very rarely do I find someone in dungeons while leveling that actually understands we can effortlessly speed run the dungeon.

I do not use plater, everything you're seeing is part of the default UI.

que times as dps are actually pretty fast right now - i was getting into dungeons within 3-5 minutes
Eh, it depends on the time of day. When I was recording this run, DPS que times were around 8-10 minutes long.

people that write que instead of queue are up there with some of the biggest tards.
I think it would be cool if you made a character where you level from 1(or 10) to 70 as quick as possible and keep the timer going to see how fast you can say clear normal raid or do all keys at a +15 (not in one sitting of course)
While I understand why that may sound cool to watch, it would be a nightmare to pull off in practice. The whole point of these runs are that they're done solo, so my individual skill and preparation is the only thing affecting the outcome. Introducing raids or endgame dungeons in the mix would either place me at the mercy of pugs, which would be miserable, or it would force me to get carried by friends, which is uninteresting.
