It was nice to see you admitted, like all of us, to having preconceived ideas regarding the models. Bladed irons should be much wider used than they are. If you use easier forgiving chunky monkeys, your ability to improve is reduced. With bladed irons, you open up a whole new world of trajectory and flight control. This debate has been going for 50 years so I don't think my comments will change a single thing. When you know, you just know quietly.
Yes I do think using smaller clubs is better for forcing you to improve. Not everyone wants to improve though and bigger clubs can make the game easier for people who just want to go out and have fun!
Both... I mean, I got D9s first but in vanity I had to get the Forged ones since they were such a beautiful irons compared to cast ones... but ofc they perform great too. Got my first HIO too, played my second season last year...
Well well, that does not surprise me. I am still playing with the 6,7,8,9, and PW of my Staff FG 17 Tour Blades. I'm 68 and play a 2800 yard 9 hole course. Still love the feel of the Staff blades. Nice review Hannah. Cheers from Texas. 🤠⛳🏌️
Wore out a pair of Wilson FG V6’s, now have the 2021 staff cbs, just picked up a few of the 2024 dynapower forged for a split set (looking for a bit more forgiveness on my 4-7
Very underrated clubs, I've just put a set of the dynapower forged in the bag after getting fitted for the cb's, phenomenal clubs, controllable, huge in distance too
I’ve used Wilson master blades since last summer, I love them got 5-pw and have just ordered 4 iron in cb play off 17 ,71 years old . Feel I could do with more distance. But tried going back to my PXGs for the winter and they felt like I was wielding a cricket bat, so it’s been blades all winter plus fairway woods for distance. I love them, great feel, great sound.😊😊😊
Hi Hannah i am a senior golfer with a 9 handicap i have aiways used Wilson staff irons all the time ie C6, Ci9 and the Ci11 irons very forgiving and very underated
I switched into the Wilson CB from a Titleist AP2 and the Wilson feels so much better hands down, love the shorter blade length and they fly further than the AP2 on a regular swing while maintaining spin - BUT - and it's a big 'but' because the Wilson heads are heavy....I've been playing the Modus Tour 120x forever and figured I'd get it put into the Wilsons "just becaue", but it didn't work out at all, I ended up going to a Modus Tour 105x which is 8g lighter so I could get my swing weight back to where I'm used to....still no complaints but (another 'but') I would encourage anyone keen on Wilson to get fit .....I didn't have the option so I've fit myself, but its a caveat for sure....also noting that I wasn't up-charged for the Modus shaft so Wilson are very flexible for shaft options, which is a massive plus
Great review Hannah, Wilson offer great clubs at great prices will try the Dynapwr and forged version. I think you should go for a Wilson fitting just to see which iron could be for you. Thanks for doing a Wilson test so underrated and perhaps give the woods and balls a test they are surprisingly good too.
Just returned to golf as recently retired, so really in need of an upgrade from my mizuno 2003 set that you know if not hit centre.17yrs is a long time to not have played but 4 games in i managed to break 80 with my old set but i have lost about 10yds with my irons .Great video as have been thinking about wilson D9 forged as have never played with anything other than forged.I had butter knives before the mizuno lol.Oh now subscribed.👍
Seriously underrated clubs. I've had a set of D9 Forged for over year and couldn't be happier. Mind you those new blades do look absolutely incredible. Surprised you don't see more club golfers using them. Their loss.
Hello Hanna. New subscriber here. Great pattern around that flagstick, nice shooting. Those Wilsons look terrific and perform just as well. Decades ago, I played with only a partial set of department store clubs. My brother in law gave me a very old Wilson 4 iron blade with a worn out grip he had laying around his garage. By far better than the beginner cavity backs in the bag. I'd stick it close to the cup more often than not. I probably should've upgraded my set to Wilson blades then and there!
Hannah great video and Wilson is definitely underrated when it comes to irons. Gary Woodland won the US Open at Pebble using the previous model Staff blades. Really enjoy your content.
I’ve been looking to change my irons the last month or so and I’ve tried the Wilson blades. I understand what you mean when a club looks good to your eye you feel better about it. When I hit them they were incredible and to me felt better than the Mizuno equivalent. Flushed a few of them and but the feedback when you’re slightly off is good. Makes you think. Would possibly look for a bit of a combo set with the CB’s. Great channel btw
Great striking Hannah! Those blades look great. I've just moved to a blended set of srixon zx7/5/4 and loving the accuracy of the scoring clubs. Much better front to back dispersion
Great review Hannah! Id love to play a "less popular but old school" Wilsons, which model would give me some forgivness, height, less offset and spin I need here in AZ as a low left drawer of the ball. I play 923Hm-HL but they are bit too large, are any of these maybe a slightly smaller version of mine? Guessing the forged?
some awesome strikes there Hannah well done your looking amazing as well i like the dynapower forged i think for me i am 59 years old and a 8 handicap so i think they would be great time will tell be safe be well and cheers from Vulcan Canada
There was 6° loft difference between the Dynapower and the CB and Blade. 24° v 30° in the other two. Goes to show, loft is your friend if your swing speed is moderate to slow. No Gap Wedge needed.
Not sure if I missed it, but were the shaft all the same flex? I would love the CB or blade, but I think I need a regular shaft and have only ever seen them listed with stiff shafts.
I love Wilson’s they are real value for money, I have the D9 Forged and if I were changing them I would go for the Dynapwa forged, look quality. Keep up the great work Wilson 👏👏👏
I do genuinely feel they should just stick with the Dynapower and Staff lines. When the new Dynapower range came out last year it was such a breath of fresh air. It was the first time they had nailed their marketing and also the results surprised a lot of people.
I've got a set of 62/63 Dynapowers and they're beautiful irons. Wilson's Fluid Feel hosel goes back to the late 1950s, but the idea first surfaced in the hickory days with the Carruthers patent at the end of the 19th century.
All those clubs have different lofts except the cb and blade which are at 34 degrees. How are you hitting them all the same distance with the same swing? That;s im;possible. The weaker loft would require for you to swing a lot harder.
It would be impossible for a robot that has a perfectly repeatable swing and set-up unfortunately the same can’t be said for actually golfers. Even visual changes can cause us to swing differently. For example I know with clubs with thicker soles I shallow my attack angle to avoid too much sole turf interaction. Also when I see less loft on the club I instinctively add dynamic loft through the ball. Lots to consider with clubs other than the static loft
Wilson as a whole is an underrated manufacturer. Started playing golf with a set of Wilson Staff irons. Even I haven't given them a look since moving on to my first set of Titleists. I'd definitely play a combo of the cavity and blades.
Play the cbs from 2 to gw and just love them. Probably overlooked because they lost market share to the more popular makes then attacked the cheaper entry clubs hence lost that image of quality which they're fighting to retain but getting ther more wins,a big company with tradition, they'll be back soon near the top.
Every brand has something amazing. Titleist makes great golf balls, Taylor Made makes amazing Woods, Wilson makes the prettiest irons, Puma/Cobra/Addidas shoes / Ping makes great Putters and Golf Bags... It's just the way the indstry is
I don’t think it’s about ‘how much forgiveness you need’ these days, there are so many compact, hollow-body ‘players’ irons around these days that are so much more forgiving than they were a few years ago, it’s more about how much help do you need with launch and shot elevation, a stronger player will get enough launch with most irons, personally I love the feedback ‘players’ offer, even if I’m probably not quite skilled enough to use them properly lol
How many more times / years are these YT "Pro's" people going to say Wilson is "Under-rated"? Its OLD already! They are a PREMIUM manufacturer! Its Like Mental"! Giggle, Giggle 😆😆
wilson blade is not a true blade - more of titleist cb, and the wilson cb are closer to titliest t100, maybe even thicker. with Hannahs club speed 6 iron and down (maybe even 5) she is going to be way more accurate and have better gaps with the blades than any other club - loft and spin are an elite players best friend! only downside with wilson is upcharge on shafts - price out a set with modus 120 and GP NDC and your jaw will drop :(

Bought the D9s last year fantastic clubs and great value.
I've got some Wilson staff fg59's. Absolutely lovely.
Wilson D9 is a great iron and happy I have them.
Same, I have the D9 forged irons, been playing my best golf since I got them.
Both... I mean, I got D9s first but in vanity I had to get the Forged ones since they were such a beautiful irons compared to cast ones... but ofc they perform great too. Got my first HIO too, played my second season last year...
Wilson have always made great clubs, and they are definitely back as a bag worthy manufacturer. Their price point is also correct.
My friend has the blades and he loves them also plays off 12
Just picked up secondhand sets of D9 and D9 forged irons for fun golf
D9s go miles!
@@nationalclubgolfernow I have good collection as I have added D7s to my holiday bag. 😅
It's a great video, and I have always wanted to try Wilson for the brand's heritage.
I have a set of Wilson staff FG51 tour blades from the early 90s and I still can't find a better set of irons than them! They are amazing irons!
Never felt right with these earlier irons. Might give one or two of these a try.
Love their fairway woods and hybrids
Just bought the Staff CBs and love them
Well well, that does not surprise me. I am still playing with the 6,7,8,9, and PW of my Staff FG 17 Tour Blades. I'm 68 and play a 2800 yard 9 hole course. Still love the feel of the Staff blades. Nice review Hannah. Cheers from Texas. 🤠⛳🏌️
As a beginner I swapped my secondhand TM irons for new D9s. These can still be found new for a fantastic price
Wore out a pair of Wilson FG V6’s, now have the 2021 staff cbs, just picked up a few of the 2024 dynapower forged for a split set (looking for a bit more forgiveness on my 4-7
Nice set up 👌🏼
I got the cb’s and love them. More work then my d9 forged but I want to work on my ball striking this year so I went to the cb’s!
aw the cb's and mb's are just beautiful irons - great review
They are so good looking!!
Very underrated clubs, I've just put a set of the dynapower forged in the bag after getting fitted for the cb's, phenomenal clubs, controllable, huge in distance too
I got a set of D9s. I found that sometimes I would hit hotspots, and flew too many greens.
Nice review. The Staff Model clubs are traditional lofted so will go less distance but for me are better to hit vs game improvment clubs.
Hi Hannah i am a senior golfer with a 9 handicap i have aiways used Wilson staff irons all the time ie C6, Ci9 and the Ci11 irons very forgiving and very underated

always try different shafts with each head! all clubs play so different, this is why fitting is super important1
Great review, always love seeing real shots into a green, blade for the win (I use Wilson blades!)
Got D9 irons and Dynapower driver hit all of them great, i’m slightly tempted towards the D9 forged.
Great review Hannah, I did the same testing 😊and ordered the blades 😎💪🏻😏
Awesome review as always Hannah. Thank you.
thanks!
I absolutely love my Forged D9 irons, they ain’t going no where
Same, I absolutely love my D9 forged, been playing my best golf since I purchased them

Thanks for doing a Wilson test so underrated and perhaps give the woods and balls a test they are surprisingly good too.
My first full set was a Wilson blade. Made me use blades ever since. Take your time with them and concentrate and you’ll be fine.
Love my D9's. I'm going to CBs/blades when I get my handicap under 12
I bought D9 forged in december on sale and they are worth very penny. Stunned they arent in more peoples bags
Great video Hannah, you definitely got the swing to game the blades, maybe a combo of the blades and the CB's??
That's so not what I was expecting, I game Cobra MIM more a CB. But that blade, unexpected. Well done.
Those blades look really nice, I might need to practice a bit before I try them out though.
Seriously underrated clubs. I've had a set of D9 Forged for over year and couldn't be happier. Mind you those new blades do look absolutely incredible. Surprised you don't see more club golfers using them. Their loss.

Wilsons clubs are amazing! The D9s feels supernaturally good for a game-improvement iron.
The D9 is a great iron

I’ve played Wilson’s until recent when I changed to cobra trails I like the look of the Dynapower forged but think 7-GW would be it plus hybrids

The dynapower forged will definitely be smaller than what you have!

Wilson make great irons and i have had some cracking sets in the past, for value for money i dont think they can be beat. Great review Hannah :)
Alwoodley looking good. What a fabulous course
great golf course!
I have the Wilson model blades .. best looking clubs but not easiest to hit all time .. obviously the lofts will be different on those 6 irons ???

The blades really surprised me!
Hi Hannah just bought the dynapower irons and hybrids what are your thoughts on dynapower driver , for 20 handicapper
Love the new shield logo too without the W/S
good spot! The new logo is smart
I love Wilson’s they are real value for money, I have the D9 Forged and if I were changing them I would go for the Dynapwa forged, look quality. Keep up the great work Wilson 👏👏👏
Great looking clubs, hopefully they will make there way into more Pro Shops.
Yes good point!
I do genuinely feel they should just stick with the Dynapower and Staff lines. When the new Dynapower range came out last year it was such a breath of fresh air. It was the first time they had nailed their marketing and also the results surprised a lot of people.
Great video! What irons are you gaming this season?
Great job Hannah.
Big fan of WS. Think they all look great appearance wise. Like you say need to do a personal feel test.
The CB's are incredible
Wilson have nailed woods and irons in their last 2 drops
I'd game a Wilson iron over Callaway or TaylorMade any day. Those blades are stunning.
Great review as always Hannah 👍
I've got a set of 62/63 Dynapowers and they're beautiful irons.
Wilson's Fluid Feel hosel goes back to the late 1950s, but the idea first surfaced in the hickory days with the Carruthers patent at the end of the 19th century.
Wilson forged irons are so underrated. A big problem for them is the amount of pro shops that stock them so they aren't in the golfers eye.
You need to do a whole round with those Wilson blades... they're beautiful.
Great review.
Looking great.
Wilson blades and cb’s are the best clubs on the market.
D9s are great.
I still have my Deep Red fat shaft & Di9 irons…I pull them out once a year for grins & there is not a lot of difference to what I am currently playing
Shot tracers have improved
Hannah, I'm subscribing. Big fan of yours.
Great video
Thanks!
Hannah you tick all the three g’s: great striker of the ball, gorgeous, great content 👍🏾
All those clubs have different lofts except the cb and blade which are at 34 degrees. How are you hitting them all the same distance with the same swing? That;s im;possible. The weaker loft would require for you to swing a lot harder.

wow Hannah , impressive striking .

Wilson as a whole is an underrated manufacturer. Started playing golf with a set of Wilson Staff irons. Even I haven't given them a look since moving on to my first set of Titleists. I'd definitely play a combo of the cavity and blades.
A player like you could easily play the blade from PW to 7 iron with the 6 & 5 in the CB.
Play the cbs from 2 to gw and just love them. Probably overlooked because they lost market share to the more popular makes then attacked the cheaper entry clubs hence lost that image of quality which they're fighting to retain but getting ther more wins,a big company with tradition, they'll be back soon near the top.

You should play the blades!

Switch to Wilson blades🎉
might have to happen!
@@nationalclubgolfer it would be nice to see how you play with them during a couple different courses.
Wilson v6 best iron ever
Just a hard sell in this market nowadays….. Most fitters and pros will tell you the same. Awesome irons tho

I will hit the gym and bag those blades. After this bag of chips.
Were you high when you filmed this?
High on life
High on ball striking
Like all Wilson irons - how soon are they going to rust??????
