Actually the protective shield cover for the gunner is the added bonus and wasn’t actually included in the original offerings, but all the extras you suggested should have been included as well as a tool box.
Nice to see you back with another review! Hopefully that rough start for 2024 (two root canals!) is behind you. Mazel on getting your hands on a HISS. It's very impressive
Thanks! Honestly, the root canals were a relief. The pain from the exposed nerve was unreal. I was taking ibuprofen like m&ms in December. Covid wasn't so bad, but my voice just would not come back (you can still hear it a little bit in the video, but it was a lot better). I actually got the tank at the beginning of December and had the whole thing filmed in a couple days, but couldn't speak properly until five days ago. Gave me a lot of time to work on the visuals, though 😄
It was, but during the more recent Pulse un-boxing live stream they (Hasbro) didn't show it, and Emily indicated that it was an Easter egg, so I thought I would show everyone who doesn't know (which I am finding out was quite a few people.)
I think Haslab reissue is not a betrayal of the collector. I think a blue or red HISS strengthens the brand. I like the bench idea. I also would have like to seen the screens inside too. Blast effects would be gravy for sure. Great video. I’ll have to check out your channel.
Thanks, man, and yeah... I have found that even though there is a lot of cross-over between between horror & Alien fans and Gi Joe fans, many Joe spastic fans are not too keen on the Decker mask, so the skull mask was a happy medium for the Joe reviews. Plus, I got to paint it myself. But, I will be back in the Decker mask for an upcoming Alien review.
Was that the initial livestream during the campaign? as it wasn't shown but I think they were eluding to it during the un-boxing livestream a couple months ago, when the marketing woman pointed to the area and said that there were some "Easter eggs" hidden around the vehicle.
If it wasn't for the size of that thing, I would've gotten it. I live in an apartment dammit, where am I supposed to display these things? I have the Baroness with the Cobra Coil & backed the Rattler (Missed getting one as kid, didn't want to make same mistake). As far as the tank itself, I've 2 nitpicks, apart from the size. First, the gatling gun placements. I would've put them more aft, so that any troopers in the back could provide covering fire against any foes trying to get at the tank from the sides, or alternatively provide support fire vs any low-flying enemies. The other nit-pick being that I would've left the area for the tank number in the front, blank. You have the stickers for the sole reason of putting in your own numbers. Allow us, as the customers to do just that; especially with the price this thing was when it first hit.
It's trending downward, though. Too many people bought multiples thinking that this was going to be another jabba's sail barge situation. Though I don't think that you will find them (un opened) for below retail any time soon, I think resellers are going to start cutting their losses and putting them up at cost in the next month or two.
The price for the vehicles are too high when they don’t need to be. Hasbro is essentially killing itself because of the prices. Spinmaster batwing is an example. It’s big and cheap.
Yeah, but there is a huge difference between simple, large, low detail, vacuform plastic pieces, and complex assembly pieces, with light up features and lots of engineered moving parts. The H.I.S.S. falls more into the realm of hot toy quality than spinmaster. It's not really size that adds cost, so much as detail and complexity. Heck, the spinmaster batwing looks down right silly when placed next to the more expensive Mcfarlane version and even though the mcfarlane came in a lot higher than it should have, you can definitely see why there would be a cost difference. Considering how much hasbro wants for the Ghost campaign, I'm actually surprised how low the tank came in at. My guess is that, going forward, the general release vehicles will be between $50 and $120 and the Haslabs will be between $250 and $350.
@@dwoncrawford5823 Yeah you're preaching to the choir, I have four kids but me and my three-year-old are the only ones who are interested in the toy isle 😂
They showed a single image of it during the campaign, and that was only a rendering. This was a year and a half ago, and the release didn't have any reminders that the cover came off. A good deal of the community didn't find it, or forgot about it. I appreciate that they went ahead with it, but they definitely didn't make it obvious. There is also another light up mode if you hold down the button that another owner pointed out recently.
Completely disagree with re-releasing haslab projects. You take away the significance or the special part of a haslab project when you say well we'll re-release it later on that means you'll never get up to the proper goals you'll never get up to the proper anything because people will just be like hey I'll get it when it's re-released. Completely destroying the point of a haslab project people know they can just get it later on and not have to worry about the initial offering
The problem is, it's already happening. eBay is flooded with H.i.s.s. tanks right now, and the price they command is quickly trending towards original sales price...largely because there is a gold rush happening that was started by the Jabba's sail barge Campaign. And after a few releases, where one third of the backers are resellers, the audience is quickly going to tune out thinking that they can get it on the secondary market later. What I'm suggesting is that Hasbro get ahead of that, if a HasLab is funded and meets all the tiers there should be a "Hasbro vault" style release later, if demand is high enough (I.e. a HasLab reissue, rather than a general release). I think that this tactic would both dissuade scalpers and give people who missed the first window a second chance to back the project. And if they do decide to do a general release of the tank I don't think that it should be exactly the same as the crowd funded version, as in it should have different accessories and be either the blue or red version, same with the dragonfly which should be Python Patrol version if they release it again. There's been a lot of burnout in the community regarding Hasbro's engineered scarcity (Hey this figure is gone in 10 seconds on pulse, oh wait now it's twice the price on eBay, nope no scratch that it's now 1/4 of the price at Ross) this is one of those issues that Hasbro needs to address before Collectors start dropping out due to whack a mole fatigue.

Was eagerly waiting for a new drop !
Thanks, it took a minute, but things are getting back on track.
Have you seen the Skeletron Roboskull MK2? It’s amazing. It’s coming soon. The KS was forever ago. 😂
Yes... And I'm definitely tempted.
1st time seeing the engine cover, sick! Ty

That engine cover that reveals the engine was described when the Tank was up for preorder ,early in the haslab campaign
Fairly sure it is in the instructions also

The Hasbro team actually talked about the engine display during the Live stream

Awesome but way too expensive on eBay

@@strangeform it’s kinda our fault for paying this much anyway. Most of the action figure market is set up for adults and not kids.

it's not in the instructions but if you think that's a "hidden extra" then you must be new to GI Joe.
