- King Julien's parents, princess julienne and prince barty, are actual psychopaths. They appear at the beginning of season 3 of all hail king julien and do some pretty weird stuff. Today, I rant about what that is.

Bro, I feel so bad for King Julien. His family fucking sucks. His parents abandoned him and his uncle tried to kill him multiple times. No wonder he's the way that he is
It's so fun to watch you talk about AHKJ. I like watching your videos regarding the show and the way you analyze it. Honestly good job on everything you've recorded. The childhood neglect that King Julien was put through explains his behaviours well (also let's not forget about uncle's bad influence) I think that Julien is a very interesting character overall. The moment he realized how f-ed up his parents were was very comedic to me. I liked how he admitted it himself while searching for Brodney. When it comes to his parents, you explained it perfectly. I remember feeling remorse towards Maurice, the poor guy had to handle everything on his own. The hunt for Ted was indeed terrifying but also entertaining in some twisted way. The way these desperate lemurs were ready to hunt their friend- yikes !
I'm thinking of doing a video on Julien's abandonment fully analyzed. But yeah, you pretty much gave a perfect description of it.

@@TheAnimationologist It’s not really abandonment, as Uncle King Julien was around prior to Season 1. So he wasn’t really alone, plus he had Maurice behind his back so it’s not really a sign of loneliness.
@@ShockwaveFPSStudios Julien's parents LEFT him as a child to be raised by his horrible uncle due to their own selfish needs. It's at least "somewhat" abandonment.

Who can blame him. He cares about his two adopted aye-aye brothers, he helped made his kingdom more peaceful then how it originally was, he lead an army of not just lemurs but also chimps, rats, dolphins etc, and he basically defeated the Foosa many times.

In the extended track for I like to move it move it in the Madagascar soundtrack, Julien mentions his "daddy" and says he was a king too. Also in the soundtrack, Julien says he was born 68 years ago so.....

I came here after watching first 2 movies with my kid and thinking, that lemur guy is a god damn sociopath.

there is a clear sense of sadness to him whenever he thinks about or sees dorothy. i think that his parents didn't except him for who he is, or maybe he just didn't have the guts to tell them.
