I’ve replayed hello Neighbor so many times and each and every time I play it and the credits role I just feel satisfied. Especially when you get into the lore. The neighbor's kidnapping kids, because he lost his own. His wife died, so he has no one in his life to tell him not to. This reflects the reue sadness that is secretly put into this game.
I thought the neighbor lost his wife and then his son killed his daughter so he trapped his son in the basement and then i guess realised he had lost everything he loved in such a short time span

I remember in 2017, in the morning, being so happy when my mom bought me the game. I remember quickly running to my toy room, booting up my x-box, putting in the disk and playing. One day I'll tell my kids about this game and how it was my childhood. Thank you tinybuild for this flawed, broken yet memorial masterpiece. :_)

beautiful. I remember in 2nd grade, I found FGTEEV playing this game, alpha version. I started watching those videos, and loved them. I got my dads old Macbook from like, 2008, and tried to download it, then asked my dad to help me download it, and thats when we found out Macs werent for gaming. So, about 2 months later I got a crappy windows key, where you plug it into a mac and it makes it run like a windows. Then, my dad downloaded steam on that, and I got Hello Neighbor, Alpha 1, 2, and 3, and they all ran at about 19 fps. I played all day, literally all day, to the point where I would touch the crappy 2008 macbook frame, and my fingers would light on fire. The game died out slowly, I stopped playing slowly, and I left it. Then, the real thing came out, when I was in fourth grade. I got it on my switch and jesus christ it was awful, I just wished the alphas were still there. Last year, I found out, they were. I downloaded alphas 1, 2 and 3 on steam. Good game.

What a great song. So nostalgic. From the first time I got the game and everyone watching me play in the living room, to me standing in the room with my VR headset and playing Hello Neighbor Search and Rescue. Gives me good memories. I’ve played all the games, but almost never completed all of them. But, I still love them. Yes, even Hello Neighbor 2. It really shows how much time has flown by, and your can’t get those times back. This game was my childhood, and I hope it was part of everyone else’s too.

ok i know nobody else is experiencing what i am right now, but i need to get this out there. this music describes so much to me. this is a perfect description of me when alpha 1 dropped and i was so ready to see what was next. just that feeling of not knowing what was next but you were ready. on the other hand i think this song describes what a perfect end to an era this song is. this encompasses alot for me. my emotions, my nostalgia, my memories of hello neighbor, just... so much. and yet, even if this song is attached to the absolute trashfire hello neighbor twisted off into, i don't care. i really don't. regardless of the matpat tweets, the scummy practices regarding hello neighbor 2, and the lack of quality any builds after alpha 2 had, this is the epitome of that feeling. stillness of nostalgia is what id describe it as, because it takes my experience with this game and compresses it into this sweet serene melody. this is an anthem to the lead up to hello neighbor i experienced. the well designed, fun and engaging stealth horror game. i would say i wish i could go back or something like that, but really im perfectly content with this being the last memory i have of this game. later in life i might not even remember the shark, the baffling state of the franchise, or even what the neighbor looks like, but thats fine as long as i can remember this feeling. this stillness of nostalgia.

This is so nostalgic i remember waking up searching up kindly keyin hello neighbor and having a fun time in 2017 now theres so many new hello neighbor games im so lost in the story i miss the old days and the simpler times of hello neighbor
when i played alpha 4 i put seven ours into it, i played when i was bored of other games. I tried my hardest to complete it and i was in the final stretches, running to the door illuminated by light and finally after 7 hours of trying to finish this game i made it. The cutscene played as the music rolled in , i was happy to finish the game focusing on the cutscene, as it ends it does not leave me wanting more, it leaves me content listening to the most beautiful thing i've ever heard so far. The music gives off so many emotions to me. Sadness, defeat, anger, happyness, lonesome, denial, loss. It just makes me feel like im an old man, who saw it all and done it all and am just sitting there cup of tea in hand watching the sun rise. This 59 second song means more to me personally then anything i have heard so far in my life. I hope others feel the same.

The backstory of this iconic franchise is centered on our neighbour (Mr Peterson’s) family. Theodore Peterson is happily and peacefully enjoying his life as a father and a husband which we witness in the Prologue game Hello Neighbour Hide and Seek. One day he went out for a drive with his wife and a horrible car crash occurred, which the player witnesses in their first dream in Hello Neighbour. Mr Peterson can be seen limping and quietly sobbing beside his damaged car (as seen in Hello Neighbour). His wife sadly dies of her injuries, leaving him and the kids in dismay. The player witnesses this scene in Hello Neighbour Hide and Seek as the kids embrace their father sadly. After the death of his mother Aaron the son is playing with his younger sister Mya on the roof of their house but he is agitated by the fact that his dearest mother is absent. He gets frustrated in the middle of the game he was playing with his sister and pushes her off the roof, leaving Mya dead. Stricken with grief and despair, Mr Peterson can’t bear to lose another member of his family and hides his son Aaron which is seen in the first game where the neighbour seems to be struggling with a screaming child and locks them into the basement. The screaming was his son, and he was wearing gloves because he had just buried either his wife or his daughter. This music represents the unimaginable loss the neighbour has been through. He’s not the bad guy after all.
this game has a tone that... it raised me. It really raised me as a kid, at new years eve me and my siblings played with my grandpa and we all laughed and got scared as he chased us. Now, ever since it ended we all grew, my grandpa moved out, and no one is hanging out with anyone anymore. It feels like we are in a different world. We were playing happily and not realising we were creating memories.

Last year I went through an extremely difficult time which I caused and it was a mess I created and I was seeking revenge on anyone that was involved in my situation.. Alot of nasty things were said and I couldn’t defend myself but I don’t defend the actions I did I was a bad person and needed to change Im still really young but I got a chance to grow even more from that issue and I thank this song. This song helped me keep calm that summer I had no one to talk too. it’s really sad from the fact that the game is sliding to the bottom, but in 2017 it flourished and was popular, and this song evokes a feeling of nostalgia, for when everyone followed the alphas, when the game had a soul, and I want to cry from the fact, that it will never come back, like other indie games in 2017. The developers of Tinybuild put their souls into the game, this game is unique, there is no one like it, and we should appreciate it, just like in its golden times. ok i know nobody else is experiencing what i am right now, but i need to get this out there. this music describes so much to me. this is a perfect description of me when alpha 1 dropped and i was so ready to see what was next. just that feeling of not knowing what was next but you were ready. on the other hand i think this song describes what a perfect end to an era this song is. this encompasses alot for me. my emotions, my nostalgia, my memories of hello neighbor, just... so much. and yet, even if this song is attached to the absolute trashfire hello neighbor twisted off into, i don't care. i really don't. regardless of the matpat tweets, the scummy practices regarding hello neighbor 2, and the lack of quality any builds after alpha 2 had, this is the epitome of that feeling. stillness of nostalgia is what id describe it as, because it takes my experience with this game and compresses it into this sweet serene melody. this is an anthem to the lead up to hello neighbor i experienced. the well designed, fun and engaging stealth horror game.
i would say i wish i could go back or something like that, but really im perfectly content with this being the last memory i have of this game. later in life i might not even remember the shark, the baffling state of the franchise, or even what the neighbor looks like, but thats fine as long as i can remember this feeling. this stillness of nostalgia.

@@memelordr Honestly, I sorta feel ya. After all these years of just watching the RUclips videos, I finally played the alphas. Gave back good memories. Alpha 3 was ehh, Alpha 4 was also ehh, but was pretty bad when I got to the small room parkour. But something about hearing this music in the ending cutscene just felt so nostalgic.

when i played alpha 4 i put seven ours into it, i played when i was bored of other games. I tried my hardest to complete it and i was in the final stretches, running to the door illuminated by light and finally after 7 hours of trying to finish this game i made it. The cutscene played as the music rolled in , i was happy to finish the game focusing on the cutscene, as it ends it does not leave me wanting more, it leaves me content listening to the most beautiful thing i've ever heard so far. The music gives off so many emotions to me. Sadness, defeat, anger, happyness, lonesome, denial, loss. It just makes me feel like im an old man, who saw it all and done it all and am just sitting there cup of tea in hand watching the sun rise.
This 59 second song means more to me personally then anything i have heard so far in my life. I hope others feel the same.

The backstory of this iconic franchise is centered on our neighbour (Mr Peterson’s) family.
Theodore Peterson is happily and peacefully enjoying his life as a father and a husband which we witness in the Prologue game Hello Neighbour Hide and Seek. One day he went out for a drive with his wife and a horrible car crash occurred, which the player witnesses in their first dream in Hello Neighbour. Mr Peterson can be seen limping and quietly sobbing beside his damaged car (as seen in Hello Neighbour). His wife sadly dies of her injuries, leaving him and the kids in dismay. The player witnesses this scene in Hello Neighbour Hide and Seek as the kids embrace their father sadly.
After the death of his mother Aaron the son is playing with his younger sister Mya on the roof of their house but he is agitated by the fact that his dearest mother is absent. He gets frustrated in the middle of the game he was playing with his sister and pushes her off the roof, leaving Mya dead. Stricken with grief and despair, Mr Peterson can’t bear to lose another member of his family and hides his son Aaron which is seen in the first game where the neighbour seems to be struggling with a screaming child and locks them into the basement. The screaming was his son, and he was wearing gloves because he had just buried either his wife or his daughter.
This music represents the unimaginable loss the neighbour has been through. He’s not the bad guy after all.
this game has a tone that... it raised me. It really raised me as a kid, at new years eve me and my siblings played with my grandpa and we all laughed and got scared as he chased us. Now, ever since it ended we all grew, my grandpa moved out, and no one is hanging out with anyone anymore. It feels like we are in a different world. We were playing happily and not realising we were creating memories.
I wonder if anyone will see this comment. Last year I went through an extremely difficult time which I caused and it was a mess I created and I was seeking revenge on anyone that was involved in my situation.. Alot of nasty things were said and I couldn’t defend myself but I don’t defend the actions I did I was a bad person and needed to change Im still really young but I got a chance to grow even more from that issue and I thank this song. This song helped me keep calm that summer I had no one to talk too. And itll forever be in my heart for that reason something about this song brings out the real side of people it’s almost poetic how it humbles you, I love this song and forever thank my little cousin for playing this game and how I discovered it. Hello Neighbour is a masterpiece that saved my life and im sure many more. Cheers but its time for me to move on from this chapter, Thank you.

it’s really sad from the fact that the game is sliding to the bottom, but in 2017 it flourished and was popular, and this song evokes a feeling of nostalgia, for when everyone followed the alphas, when the game had a soul, and I want to cry from the fact, that it will never come back, like other indie games in 2017. The developers of Tinybuild put their souls into the game, this game is unique, there is no one like it, and we should appreciate it, just like in its golden times.
