@Jotique - By affairs, Rev. Ike means what you physically have in your life - basically, your possessions. So, we not only have our body of flesh, but we also have a body of affairs. Rev. Ike also refers it it as "material affairs" in other teachings.
Self mastery is "Tell your mind what to think. Tell your feelings how to feel. Tell your body how to react." Rev. Ike

The law of the mind is universal. The great mathematician, George Boole, from which the logic of computers are derived (and thus the whole infrastructure of the modern technological world), wrote a book called the laws of thought in 1854 that expresses ideas similar to Rev. Ike’s cosmic law of mind.
