One time, I picked up the rifle by the handle and slipped, and jerked to catch it and the safety caught on my finger turning it off and i got a blast of air to face. RESPECT THIS WEAPON.
I got my Beeman Commander .22 and I love it. The quality for the price goes unmatched. It isn't regulated so it's a bit tricky getting the hammer spring adjusted based on what weight you're firing, but it's accurate and man it hits hard. I have a set of little metal spinners with a target mount on top that is speced for .177 and .22 air guns. I bent the shit out of the plates with a little 15.42 grain pellet. It likes the 21 grain slugs the best, but did ok with the 34 grain JSB's, but they are too long for the mag I had to use the single shot tray. This rifle ripped through 3/4" plywood like butter. If you buy it, you need a solid backstop. I had to mount a pic rail on the fore-stock for bipods and threw away the scope that came with it. It has a beautiful hardwood stock, but with the bipods and scope it's heavy. I will get a strap for it before going hunting. It is a lot of weight to shoulder and fire. Let alone carry around for hours. The trigger out of the box was less than 1lb. I like it. I didn't have to adjust it. I like the safety being right in front of the trigger as well. I love the Beeman products for the price point they offer. I shot beer and soup cans full of water and they went flying. It literally blew the back out of a beer can with a 15.42 H&N field target trophy. It was split from top to bottom. I am amazed at how hard this thing hits for a .22. Now that I have this one, I must have the Bull Pup. Thanks for another great review JC.
Another awesome video brother! I especially love the video segment that shows you how to do everything. As someone who does all my own maintenance, I appreciate and love the tear down and rebuild. Need to show segments of that every time you do it, pending filming time constraints. Have a blessed weekend man!
Hi JC, Amazing video and work. Thanks for showing how it is possible in a simple way, to transform negative points into positive ones. Thank you, Buddy. Happy shooting, and have a great weekend!
Great video JC. One trick I’ve learned to taking pins out is to use a roll of duct tape or electrical tape placed below the pin so when you tap it it has somewhere to go and it is actually pretty solid
Hello. J C. I JUST Got THE BEEMAN UNDERLEAVER. IN .22 CAL. WHAT A BLAST. I DID THE TRiGGER SPRING. MOD. ON IT ALREADY. & IT WORKS GREAT. BALL POINT PEN. SPRING WORKS FANTASTIC. TOOK MY TRIGGER DOWN TO 1.8 LBS. WAS. ALMOST 7 LBS. WHAT A SIMPLE EASY TRIGGER FIX. ..... HAVE A GREAT NEW YEARS ... KEEP THOSE GREAT VIDEO.S COMING. I LEARNED ALOT THIS PAST YEAR !!! THANKS FOR ALL THE HARD WORK & THE AWESOME VIDS. !!
I imagine the replacement spring will need to be changed every now and again as the steel will be inferior to the OEM spring and may compress. Great video! Thank you.
I shoot in the country so noise is not a factor, but thanks for the info.on shroud removal. I removed the shroud and placed the shroud support on the barrel end; looks great - thanks. Besides a free floating barrel is more accurate.
Fantastic! I am going now to re-watch the original review. Now, perection for me would be if you showed a similar step by step spring replacement for the Ruger/Umarex Impact Elite Max!
Nice trigger job JC , but on the stock spring can you get same results by snipping 1 coil off stretch it and polishing end? Hope you cold gets better take a lot of vitamin C. Thanks for sharing.😎👍🏻
I had a Beeman and loved it. However I upgraded by purchasing a Stoeger Bullshark. I also bought a Buck Rail suppressor for my Jet 1, and it really took the "bark" out of THAT rifle.
Way awesome video! All negatives/cons... erased. And the spring switch forbthe trigger - just damn way too easy..😁👍🏻👍🏻 And Terry has made some way decent accessories for the rifle. Way to go!!👍🏻👍🏻
It looks as though the Beeman 1365 Commodore-S is the same .25 cal bull pup but with a synthetic stock versus wood. Buck Rail's adapters and your bipod should work on the 1365 as they did on the 1357, 1358, and 1359.
I am testing the new 1365 model as we speak. Yes, the Buck-Rail tri-rail adapter fits perfectly, as does his suppressor. My Bipods are perfect with the under lever cocking system. This 1365 model is a 3500 PSI fill as compared to a 3000 psi with the original wood version. They also moved the gage. I am really liking the synthetic version, and the accuracy is incredible. #staytunedforairgundetectives
Great video. I had high hopes For the BuckRail for the Akela first 2 had baffle strikes and final replacement was working great but the entire end cap blew off no pellet strikes it was a layer separation in the 3D print so I unfortunately had a bad experience x3 they did refund me prior to sending 3rd moderator but in the Akela moderators I had a bad experience I had high hopes as I do 3D printing but really feel it’s playing with fire high pressures on plastic printed parts. I have a video coming out next week showing it but with that said I have a 240.00 huggett magna on a Fx impact .30 it had baffle and end cap strike brand new 2200 gun and 240 moderator so you never know. Funny thing I have a generic $40 moderator and a FX factory moderator never had any issues. I think things just slip through the cracks. Unfortunately on the buckrail I had issues with everyone I was sent.
Fortunately, I have had nothing but positive experiences with the Buck-Rail accessories. I am sorry you had a less than stellar experience, but I am sure Terry took care of you. He is constantly improving and upgrading his products. Thanks again for tuning in.
@@AirgunDetectives Oh I forgot me and some of my friends online wonder if you're going to do the Sig Canebrake in your Co2 series.? we Like to get more than one Opinion on it.
Great video guys, you actually sold me on the gun and I got one. Looking forward to upgrades.-any idea about bigger air bottles or if it’s possible to add a regulator kit? Thanks.
Great Job John! Great trigger for sure! LOL I hope you review the Beeman Commander when it comes out with the new upgrades! You may have to find a range and shoot it at 75or 100 yards!
Great video, I have to ask? When you take off the shroud, isn't the barrel end already have a 1/2 x 20 thread? So, if so, couldn't I just put my moderator on the end of the barrel without the shroud?
Hoping theres more content on this little gun, very interested on buying a 22 one. Wonder if you now anything about regulating it, been reading forums but theres no conclusive info.
Hello. Thanks for sharing your knowledge, it has been a great help. I have a question. Is it normal that when shooting, this model of rifle leaks air in the magazine area? My 1358 rifle does it and the air blow is very strong, my face and right eye can't resist it and I had to move the scope back. Greetings from Mexico.
One thing to be mindful of. Do not turn or let the trigger rotate! Im not sure if you can turn it by hand. But if you turn it that throws the linkage off. ( ive not done this upgrade yet but im sure if you let it rotate 1 turn the linkage and trigger pull length will change. possibly throwing the Sear off and not letting it fire. )
Another very good video (as usual) However the first option of "supressor" that you called muzzle in fact is one "air stripper" that will not supress the sound BUT it will provide you one bether grooping shotting for all shooters that wants to do target shooting. Usually one very accurate upgrade to have in consideration. Great job. Please don't stop. ❤ Ps: Are you going to test any COMETA PCPs air rifles!?
JC: Love the reviews and upgrade video. QUESTION: Would you choose the wood stock or the synthetic and why? In the case of the Beeman, there's practically no difference in price between the two platforms. Thanks!
Be careful on doing this there is a small pin that holds the trigger itself to that rod. mine fell out luck I saw it. What a GREAT improvement with a different spring. Keeping the old one.
My POI stayed the same, but I have definitely seen the POI change on other rifles once the suppressor is installed. The key is that as long as it still groups, you can adjust the scope or sights. If it doesn't group, exchange that suppressor. 👍🏻😉
I lasered a crow out of the top of a tree today at 260 yards with my 1358 , it took two shots but my first shot went right over his shoulder. My second shot did the trick.
Had trouble with the Suppressor. The rifle would not group. Upon inspection the supressor was off kilter and was deflecting the shot path. Wish I could post pics.
Sooooo, how about you tell us which brand of ballpoint pen the spring came out of? I don't use spring type pens so id appreciate not havjng to go out and buy a bunch in the hopes i get the right one. Thanks in advance.

Hey thanks for making this video . Which scope.you recommend from.your site the discovery 6×12 or the 6×24?

( ive not done this upgrade yet but im sure if you let it rotate 1 turn the linkage and trigger pull length will change. possibly throwing the Sear off and not letting it fire. )
There is a lock-nut on that. It won't move unless you manually adjust it. No worries there. Happy Shooting 👍🏻

How many shots with a fully charged tank on the rifle @ 100 yards?
Will you be doing an upgrade to become full automatic rifle?

I've looked everywhere online and even Beeman only has .177 and .22 in this line. Does anyone know where to find this one (1359)?
Could you pls review the snowpeak m60
I have the M60B and its awesome . Chinas version of the FX Impact but way less money .
Anyone know what mm scope cover fits the scope it comes with ?
Are they the same as the .177 and the .22? Buck Rail doesn't clarify. Oh so now I need an adapter too. 😮

Awesome. Thanks for the reply!
Does anyone know if the Beeman 1385 has an o-ring inside the breech ?
That would be a "Yes." Similar to the Benjamin Marauder.
A little divers grease ( silicone ) helps them last . Use on my Airforce guns .
My gun psi 3500psi filled and gauge is up front on side where yours on back only fill to 3000pis see one gun like my gun 1358
Why put a same size spring?
That beeman bullpup is quite a snubby rifle. Ca barely wait till i finally get the Akela. Its on my list after. Notos
