I'm pretty much right in there with Charlie!!! I've quoted (him) many times (ref.) "... livin' by the law of the jungle, not the law of the land" A true Patriot who's being and voice is always missed! Be Safe
Charlie was a great American patriot, and I'm right with him. I'd be glad to stand shoulder to shoulder with him. Men like him are way too few and far between.
I know this song. It isn't the same as the Lynyrd Skynyrd song with the same title. Very deep song lyrics. Thanks Montauked for this song reaction request. Cheers Don! ✌️
This isn't about taking unilateral action (unless of course you're on your own property). ...but if you don't have your own opinions about what is right & wrong, and stand by that...then who are you? The core of the song "You've got to stand for somethin (or you'll fall for anything)" In some cases, Penal code shouldn't be about punishment. It should be about removing a threat. Once the court has done their due diligence, give the convicted person the OPPORTUNITY of taking a standardized lie detector test, (or not, which is its own result) ...and carry out sentence.
The Israelites were given specific commandments for certain situations that were to be handled differently. If I remember right, the context of the “eye for eye and tooth for tooth” scripture implies that it deals with eyes and teeth specifically, not every single situation. The context also implies that they could use this as a general guideline for situations where a specific commandment wasn’t given. Something else people often miss is that God gave these commandments to the *nation* of Israel, not to individuals. New Testament guidance from our Lord Jesus is more generally to individuals and churches, not to nations. Israel was no longer to be God’s chosen nation. His longsuffering with them came to an end in AD 70, and those laws aren’t applicable to us as individuals. However, they are *still good moral guidance for a nation crafting its laws.* I think Daniels understood this, and most good people do (even if subconsciously) when they look around and see all the lawlessness.
I had requested this sometime back too. I’m glad you were able to get to it. Great song. Pretty much sums up my life and thoughts.

I want to request a song but my cousin doesn't want me to. She is a good singer. She wrote the song.
