Hey bud nice video . To cut a long story short iv got to swap a modular crosair cv550 to a CORSAIR TX850M Semi-Modular ATX PSU - 850 W which is a semi modular. . I think il be ok but if you have any videos that would be great. This is to comfortably run a 3070

Question do I need a higher wattage power supply. I have a 750 gold in it now but I'm running a 3080 and a Ryzen 9 5900x and I've been reading something's online that have me nervous now.
Nvidia include an adapter for it. Only the Founders Edition has the 12 pin connector. Other models from EVGA, Asus, MSI etc. have standard PCIe connectors.
It did, I believe it had two 8 pin connectors. However, the old VS PSUs from Corsair aren't brilliant and I'd recommend upgrading it as soon as you can.
Well I’ve just ordered a 650w psu from evga I believe it’s 80plus gold rated. I did some research I think it’s good for my 3060 it was 60 pounds on sale from 70 is this a good psu? Thanks for the reply
i have a modular psu 550w and wanna upgrade to a 750w modular psu i dont need to take off all the cabels on my motherboard and graphics card i just plug in all the cabels to the new psu right?
My pc keeps shutting down and restarting every now and then. I have a 650w 80 plus white psu. Running i7 7700 and gtx 1080. U think it could be a faulty psu i need to replace?
Potentially, that does sound like a PSU issue. But it could be down to something else, Try to RMA the PSU if you can and replace it and then see if the issue is still persisting.
Definitely use the new wires. Different PSUS have different pin layouts. Using the old wires with the new PSU can cause serious damage and potentially kill your hardware.
Front panel connectors connect into the motherboard. This varies by motherboard and the exact layout can be found in the instructions for your motherboard model.

Do we need to drain the residual charge or just remove old cables, install new psu and plug new cables and turn on?
Thank you for this!!! Does any type of PSU work with any Mobo? Or do specific mobos require specific PSU?

Hi, I'm swapping my Corsair TX750m for a HX850i, is it best to swap all the cables over as well, or ok to mix cables?
Definitely swap out all of the cables. Just to be on the safe side.
check if they are both type 4 cables

This is fine but u should upgrade for like 900 watt so u can use rgb and other stuff still if u can't that's absolutely perfect
This may sound like a dumb question but, the rtx3070 requires 12 pins. so does any power supply you buy come with 12 pin wire
Nvidia include an adapter for it. Only the Founders Edition has the 12 pin connector. Other models from EVGA, Asus, MSI etc. have standard PCIe connectors.
By any chance did an 8 pin connector come with your 450? As I need one for my 360 and I have to same power supply

Hi bro great vid could you do a video on the semi psu. Only if you want to
I can get that in the works as I have a fully modular PSU now.

no, might fry components.

definitely dont

Never do that. Different PSUs will have different pin outs. It’s always best to use the cables which come with your power supply
My pc keeps shutting down and restarting every now and then. I have a 650w 80 plus white psu. Running i7 7700 and gtx 1080. U think it could be a faulty psu i need to replace?

should i use the new wires in the box witn the psu or can i use the old wires from the old psu?
Definitely use the new wires. Different PSUS have different pin layouts. Using the old wires with the new PSU can cause serious damage and potentially kill your hardware.
thanks
Funny how psu installation is easier than how it looks, you only really use few cables out of all
Tru I was worried during my pc build but then my friend did it and taught me which cables I truly need and I'm surprise how few it is.
What’s a good power supply for a rx 580 4gb?
The minimum recommended is 450W. I'd recommend going for at least 500W just for the overhead.
a i5 9400f with a gtx 1650 which power supply would be good?
A good 550w PSU will be just fine.
I bought a 750w for my GeForce RTX 2060. Is that enough for me to play RTS games on larger scales?
A 750W PSU is plenty for a 2060. The 2060 is still very good with playing games at 1080p and even 1440p👍
@@ProYamYamPC Awesome cause im replacing with my 500w because I didn't think it really lasted. . . :'D
what psu do you recommend for i5 9400f and rtx 2080?
Probably an EVGA SuperNova 650W 80+ Gold. Can find them on eBay between $60 and $90

A good quality 750W PSU will be just fine.
@@ProYamYamPC ok ty
so ur telling me a 450w can run a gtx 1080 ti?
Nope, a 650w will. Unless if I made a mistake and missed it in the edit. I recommend at least a 650w PSU for a 1080 Ti
What would be good for 3060ti i7 9700k?
I'd recommend at least a decent 650W PSU with an 80+ Gold rating or higher.
@@ProYamYamPC how do u think 600w gold + would do?
Where do you connect front panel connectors to psu?
Front panel connectors connect into the motherboard. This varies by motherboard and the exact layout can be found in the instructions for your motherboard model.
@@ProYamYamPC so you connect F panel connectors to motherboard where does other end go?
To the psu through molex chain?
Hmm I just want a toturial bcz I think the psu blow up and the PC won't work anymore
Don't we need worry about how much load the psu is going to give the motherboard?
The main parts which draw the most power are the CPU and GPU. As long as you have some overhead, you will be fine.
think a 600w is too low for a 2070 super i7 7900k?
It's not ideal but as long as it's a good unit, you should be fine.
@@ProYamYamPC pc shuts off loading valorant/playing cs. runs cod no problem. im thinking psu too low
What psu do you recommend for i7-11700F and rtx 3060?
650W. I would get a 750W or 850W psu so you don’t have to worry about upgrading to a new power supply for a long time.
I cant pull the big motherboard cable out
The 24 pin motherboard cable is quite hard to get out. Try pressing the little tab and then pull it.
Btw you should've gotten atleast a semi modular? Otherwise way to many cables :(
