Hi Abbie, i have had ones of these for over 5 years, they are a bit bulky and heavy but has never let me down and it is really well made and works in all conditions
My first exposure to Abbie, and I like it. I know you hear it constantly but I must say you are smart, cute and really cute. Nice delivery and the personal touch is what I like. Well done
Hello Abbie, I just bought the Fire MapleX2 for $50 USD today with it being on the lightning deal and amazon's 10% coupon. The only catch was I had to get the orange color. Greatest bang for the buck away from Jetboil. Honestly its only a handful of seconds slower than the jetboil brand which is okay, I saved $100USD. AND It comes with a cooking prong for frying pans. Thats $10 usd extra for Jetboil.
I think you are probably right that the temp and the wind will have effected boil time. (And the volume of water) I have a fire maple, and it can boil enough for two mugs in 90 seconds on a warm still day. So far, no problems with the piezo, which I like as my jet boil zip doesn’t have one (but does have a little pocket on the neoprene cover to fit a lighter.) and also doesn’t have the pot support like the fire maple. I love your channel, you inspire me to get out with my stover more, thankyou.
Abbie Barnes, you continually inspire.... So much so... I am walking two moors way this month.... Thanks for helping me over come barriers .. ATVB2U and yours... Scott Somerset
I have a stove and pot from planet X it cost £29.99p It does the job- bigger than the Firemaple and Pocket Rocket stoves but I like it. The extra weight doesn't bother me and it boils 350 Mils of water in just over three and a half minutes. The little piece you could not name is what I call a pot stand. Even though you can use it to put a frying pan on.
I don't get why boil times is such a big deal, if I'm out camping I'm in no rush for anything. I can wait for my water to boil. for the price of these types of equipment, I'm happy to wait. The gas is inexpensive and it's not using up ridiculous amounts. kick back, enjoy the scenery, and I'm sure you won't die of dehydration before your water is ready.
Thanks Abbie for the review, not one that I would use, prefer smaller set ups, but I do have the Fire-Maple FMS-300T that I use when size and weight is paramount! Its tiny, but copes quite well with boiling water with a windscreen - also seems well built. Been using it for the past year or so to good effect.
Looks like a great stove, robust and does the job. Definitely a serious contender if I need a new one at some point. Might be a bit slower than others thou. Thanks for the review 😀
I want one! Sod your Jetboil Flash anyway, for a start it costs more and if people are going to split hairs over a couple of minutes they shouldn't be out in the wild anyway
Thanks Abbie - I guess boil times indicate a stoves efficiency in turning gas to heat and using less gas is good. Ethically I wonder if we should be looking to move away from fossil fuel stoves - I've tried the wood burning options but they can be tricky to use and not always practical. It's the next great challenge for wild camping - I wonder if a pre-charged electrical system would work.............with solar back up!! A better brain than mine will solve it no doubt!!
At 600 odd grams it's going to be a hard sell to the ultra lightists. More suited to the myriad of overnight RUclips video creaters to whom hiking consists of walking to the top of a hill, preferably in bad weather, setting up camp and cooking enough food to feed an army before heading back out next morning....ps. Abbie I certainly don't include you in that category.

Not weird at all.

I'm 68 Abbie, and that's the first time in my life I've watched a boil from start to finish. What have you done to me???? Great Vids btw...
Perfect, light stove, pitch tent and three cups of coffee ready when the tent is up.
🙂🙂🙂

A watched pot never boils Abbie 🤣😀 Nice looking system, will be interested to see how it performs in better conditions. Thanks for the review 😀
Like the cook set so much I bought same as you did .
Thanks for the review. Very helpful! I ordered one before the end of the video :)

Hope you had a great Easter 🐇 holiday
I have had one of these for a couple of months. I prefer it to the jetboil that I melted 😬. PS, love your videos.
judging from that little tree behind you the wind is really blowing pretty hard -- so like you said I'm sure that's having a huge effect
well done Abbie. I wonder if a proper win screen would help it. It appeared to be quite windy in all fairness to the stove. Cheers

@@alcedo_kf £15??? I spend 4.50 a can, lasts me plenty... Half a can left after 4 camps so far. I use the oex tacana.
@@alcedo_kf yeah UK
I went for a shower and came back and that thing was still on the boil on your video abbie 😂
Firemaple make the Alpkit Bru Kit as the OEM as well ! I have had the Orange X2 for a long time.

I’ve boiled 0.5L with cold water from the fridge at 2 minutes 20 and I think it’s a rival for the jet boil

Hi Abbie! It's a great review 🙂. How much gas do you need for a week camping, approximately? Assuming that you boil 2 pots a day.
a small gas for about 6 days :)

Fire bans prohibit wood. That's why I'm getting one.
Mine didnt last, the "O" ring seal deteriorated, not safe. Anybody else had this?
Oh that's not good! Have you contacted the company?
@@AbbieBarnesWILD Hi, I did indeed, and they sent a replacement albeit from the States, but all good. Better service than some, so all good
👍❤️👏
Doesn’t like Coleman gas cannisters
What is up abbie wow from South Korea you are beautiful woman i mean you are my woman
I find the way to get you pot to boil faster is to not watch it.
