    81 Yamaha XS650 TC Bros Hardtail Bobber Project shown with pictures from start to finish. This was a couple year project that I feel turned out really well! Lots of trial and error was involved with many parts left over and many more purchased than expected. In the end, it turned out how we wanted but it definitely took some time and motivation.

      Thank you so much John and thanks for checking it out!!! It was a solid project that took way longer and way more money than expected but with a lot of trial and error it did turn out as Id hoped. Had some great times with a best friend of mine working on it in the garage, that’s for sure.

    As far as electronics go, are these bikes pretty simple?

    • @TheChapMX
      @TheChapMX  2 года назад +1

      They can be simple or complicated depending on how far you want to go. Just to do a stripped down, barebones homemade harness it’s not too bad. I tried to make one out of the original harness but that was more complicated than it was worth. I’d definitely recommend doing the permanent magnet alternator, electronic ignition, and just a capacitor vs a battery. There are lots of drawn up wiring diagrams online that you can use. Hope that helps!

      @@TheChapMX what are the advantages of the permanent magneto alternator?

    Where did you get the rear fender?

      Hey Travis, a guy named Joe Cooper of Cooper Smithing Co. handmade it for me to the specs I wanted. It was seriously a perfect fit. He did an awesome job. Get in touch with him at
