I'm from the UK but actually live in central Java. I had to come back to the UK for a few months and am heading back to Indonesia (my home, England is not my home anymore) in two weeks. After the crappy UK weather and bland food I can't wait to be back in Indonesia. Martabak with kismis and keju!

thats premium quality martabak using real butter and high quality ingridients thats why its more expensive than normal roadside martabak. normal sweet martabak would cost a third of that price

Because the original "martabak" is actually the salty / savory one, with egg, meat, onion, etc - which is a totaly different dish.
The salty one is from yaman the sweet one is adapted from nederland, the most delicious is martabak bandung
