Funny you mentioned that hacking the muffler off solved rear gear issues with noise lol, my 2000 dodge ram laramie slt quad cab long bed gloss black 5.2 litre 318 magnum V8 46 RE AT 1500 4x4 I got cheap well it was the previous owners retirement accomplishment truck and it acquired a annoying pinhole that made a high pitched whistle in front of the muffler and rather than welding up the pinhole they haphazardly hack sawed off the muffler and was trying to sell me a flowmaster delta flow stainless steel 70 series i believe that was a dual outlet muffler for $160 extra, I was like nope you can keep your flowmaster im putting a cherry bomb mini glass pack muffler in its place and pieces of exhaust pipe tubing and hook up the factory tailpipe since its in really good condition.
Hint truck was swapped out to a 83 k15 GMC High Sierra heavy duty 6 lug corporate gm10 bolt front and 12 bolt rear axles because the factory front diff sheared off the center shaft cross pin bolt and destroyed the front center section and cracked the housing..
Has to be a shirt given to you by a previous (or current) employer. Also, I remember saying it was returned to Summit. Suggest watching the vid a couple dozen times to check me on that. Thanks for keeping us all safe out there brother.👮♂️
Wut, you're Cherokee? I'm gonna holla at you at the gym about that, lol. I don't get why all manufacturers don't make all rear-wheel drives from the factory positrac (Positraction), surely isn't THAT expensive?
Thanks for the recomendation for Rigid Axle!
Great video!
Awesome work 👍 thanks for the info.
Thanks for watching!

Nice work. How was the ride? Noticeably better?
So what you are saying is you have a Powertrax No-slip lying around; also, are those special grinder dust-catching shirts, or will any ole shirt work.

What part of Mississippi? Love all your videos. Keep it up! Biloxi, Ms
Excellent!! Louisville.
Have the same issue with the trac bar hitting the yoke. Was turning the upper bars out 5 turns what TCI said? How was your pinion angle afterwards?
It's not ideal but does clear the trac bar.

Did you use a 3.73 or 3.42 gear set?
You stated 3.73, but part number in video is for 3.42.
Either way are you happy with what you choose?
I did use 3.73 and it’s perfect.
