For Ryan to win:
- needed to roll far enough to reach both stars
- needed to roll triples to get enough coins
- needed kory to land on apollo's space AND win the duel to get the coins necessary to move the star to Ryan and THEN spawn goombas
- needed to win the mini game roulette to prevent kory and malf from throwing the 1v3 (and then needed to preserve his coin lead over apollo in platform peril)
- needed the random boo coin steal (insane play btw) to land on specifically apollo

The house rule for me is always, no matter who's winning, don't deliberately throw minigames. You're free to make whatever choices you want on your own turn otherwise
Yeah, metagaming/bad sportsmanship really sucks. And it being a casual party game is no excuse, if anything you're tryharding way too much for a party game if you're deliberately throwing or holding grudges.
But as a streamer it does make for hilarious content and engagement. So don't take their behaviour on stream to heart

If we are JUST analyzing the dice roll needed for the final turn (and disregarding all the events needed to happen before for this to happen like the golden goombas, the star location change from Kory buying etc), NL needed to roll triple 8 to 10, which means just by dice roll alone it was a 3/1000 chance. (and triple 10s would have landed him on a VS space which could have also been potentially a game changer)
Apollo's unwavering grudge against Ryan is what keeps me coming back I'm afraid
