Been playing for a little over a month a couple of weeks now and ive leveled two characters to lvl 60 so far and i was about to level my third but realized i couldn't make anymore season characters. You saved my life with this now i can power kevel myself easily
Think it would be nice to tag 2 fresh alts together & lvl them up with a bunch of scrolls. Get 2 new lvl 60's in a couple days, will for sure try that 😁 Got no season tickets left so that will make up for the missing tuvala gear a little i guess. A video on how to lvl up/gear alts without season tickets might be a good one 👌
Tagged character must be atleast Lv 7 for the 'get EXP' function to show, but the EXP will still accumulate. 1 hour at Elvia Orc Camp without EXP buffs is an instant Lv7 to Lv60. Lv61 from Gyfins UG.
@@iamkennytran Bro there's literally yes way. I did this to all my alts. Tagged a lvl 7 alt, went to grind 1h at Gyfin underground -> get exp -> boom Lv 60-61
@@thatquantumz3036 I don't know if they changed it now, havent played in a good while. You may be able to tag a lvl 1 alt yes, but the 'get exp' does not work until that alt is lvl 7.
I just did the grind to level 60 on a character I don’t like cuz they were close enough and I didn’t see this and that timepiece is gone. I wish I saw this before putting in the hrs this weekend. I will be crying myself to sleep
So can i just make a new lvl 1 character (Do quests up to Velia and pick simplified quests?) and tag it then grind at a high level place with my main and power level that alt?
Does it split the exp or duplicate it? For example if im trying to level my main should I untag to make sure i get more exp or does it not make a difference
What I would wish they add is a way to "change" EVA to DR and vice versa. It really limits what you can tag with EVA gear and DR gear. For example if I play a class like Musa that wants Evasion but tag a Warrior my gear doesnt really work for warrior really.
Hi there. Very new to bdo. Got my first lvl to 61. Could you tag a lvl 61 character to a new character (alt), play the new character and gain however small amount of xp for the lvl 61 towards 62? Thanks.
I created a new character non seasonal. When can I cat him. Is it unlocking at reaching certian level or quest? I'm figuring it out cause we get patriago's watch that gives lvl 61 instantly so wanna tag 2 low lvl characters and check if it works to claim exp xD
i still don't get it and can't find answer anywhere. So if my main gain 1000 exp, does it devided into 500/500 or my tagged character also gain 1000 exp??
what if i tag diffrent level character like lvl 1 character and i lvling up the lvl 1 character up way to 60? does the exp chracter tagged get same amount exp?
It's always better to tag rather than start a new seasonal character, right? In my case, I wanna change my main class ( ninja is too much apm for me xd)
Just sharing, fastest way to level up an alt is to tag them. Have the higher level character go AFK fishing. The alt will be leveled overnight. In my test I used a level 62 and a level 10. The alt was level 50 in a few hours. You will have to do the 50 promotion, but the XP should still overflow from fishing and level above 50,
@@Night-Dwellerr Try it. As a level 60 I can level them to 51 just afk fishing. Fastest way is to just grind a spot, since I can level an alt to 57 in under an hour at Centaurs or Polly's. But AFK fishing works too. Currently I have 28 level 57's, so I know it works.
@@lukaszkwarciak7901 Well, yeah, if you want to look at it that way, but Fughar's only worked for Seasonal characters. I see this as a different thing, not a replacement for Fughar's, and certainly am glad I have something for my non-Season characters. Which isn't to say I disagree with your point. It could be improved to not only allow for quest XP, but in other ways, too. Like, it would be nice to be able to tag to my Seasonal character - or even tag my Seasonal to another non-Seasonal. It would be nice to be able to gain Life Skill XP, too. But - not having these things doesn't mean it's a badly made feature; it's really a great benefit to have as is, in my opinion. Now if we could just have the Marni's copied gear be permanent and not just temporary while tagged - lol but that's probably going to far! 😄
So let's say I'm playing on my lvl 61 character and create a new lvl 1 character then tag it, does that mean the new character instantly becomes lvl 61? And do I still have to do all the main story quests and so on for the new character? And what about the timepiece? What's the difference between tagging and the timepiece?
The timepiece was only usable in seasons, but since the season is now permanent and doesn’t end until your character graduates or you haven’t logged onto the season character for 180 days, it was removed. There was also an issue where season characters couldn’t graduate if there was a timepiece on the account
@@solidbear oh ok, i'm just really new to this game barely 100 hours been just doing main story quest lines, almost done, so if I made and alt and tagged it do I still have to do all the quests all over again on the alt??? tbh some questlines in this game are a reaaaal torture :DD
I’d say complete the major quest line on your main. For your alt you have a choice but remember that you will miss out on some rewards that you would’ve obtained if you did those quests (inventory expansion etc)
No XP you get from the quest itself will transfer. If you are killing mobs for a quest, the killing of those mobs will grant you Combat XP, which will benefit your tagged character - but it doesn't matter whether or not you're killing them for a quest, just that you are killing mobs. 🙂
Quest experience doesn't transfer, unfortunately. I just tested this myself to make sure. If you are interested in the details of what I did - After tagging a L59 Character in Heidel, I took the L59 character I tagged him to and ran it through the quests at Brellin Farm and Outpost Supply Port (minus the "Suspicious Farm" quest which I didn't complete because it wasn't night in game). You'll be familiar with these quests if you follow EvilDoUsHarm's guide for leveling from 59 to 61 by questing. I then took my horse back to Heidel, and there checked my total experience gain on both characters. I gained 33.824 XP on the main character, but only .023 on the tagged character (I was of course using the Chenga Tome). The gain on the second character was from the mount ride (I had a couple of mount XP buffs going, not sure how much that mattered) and killing 2 deer. So, clearly, grinding XP on your primary character is going to be much better for the tagged character. So, if you have a character you regularly grind on, tag to that one instead (If the character you grind on is L61 or higher you will see very small gains in XP percentage for grinding an hour, but much larger gains for the character lower than 61.) I have used one of my grinding characters to level up several characters from 56 to 59 - it was very fast! Now that I'm done getting them all to 59, I'll just tag each one in turn and get them to 60 at least that way, to 61 if it's still efficient, or just use Levi's (EvilDoUsHarm's) guide to quest the rest of the way if I decide that's better for me. (Remember, as Levi always says, to use the Chenga Tome for an additional 30% quest XP from L50 to L61!)
so wait, does untagging after clicking "get EXP" button mean you lose the gained exp? You mentioned it at th4 4:10 mark but didn't say whether EXP is lots upon untagging

You can also get a little exp from the tag if you do afk horse training, also you can right click the tag icon to tag in or out easily
What? some dudes recently talked about tagging and i was wondering "how to do it?" about it.
What a timing you made this!
