That would be because at the time I made this video, I was looking for a particular feeling of violin and Zero didn't struck that feeling at all. Plus, I have never really enjoyed guitar, for the most part, which didn't help Zero either. I've grown quite fond of Zero now and you should expect it to be on my second "best of" video. :)

It speaks to how good the composers were--for us, a lot of these songs are elevated because we were emotionally invested in the story when that song played, but the music itself is also more than good enough to stand on its own.
Hi Japzone, I highly agree with you that the music has been missing in ace combat. Interestingly enough I have been playing almost every iteration of the ace combat series since it first came out in 1998, 20 years ago. if there is a real war then I wouldn't hesitate to sign up for the air force although I would be playing this music in my cockpit.
Actually I think it's the best part of ACAH, the soundtrack... Ok the game is not perfect and too much scripted and all, but just for the soundtrack on some mission I sure can replay the game a little here and here. *guilty pleasure*
@@kwanming4751 technically, depends where you live. Airforce in the US doesn't really do much aside from drones, transport, and satellite stuff. If you would want to see combat in a fighter or something, you'd have to join navy or marines since they do most of our overseas crap anymore. You probably wouldn't see any action here on US soil either since it's pretty much tactical suicide to try and invade the mainland US. Guerrilla opposition and what would likely be a robust home military force would cost too much to try and hold much territory thousands of miles from most countruesthat would stand a chance of mounting such an assault. Though, that's all assuming that the next war isn't just the world bathed in nuclear fire.
Nostalgia for the weird limbo period where it was the only AC game to come out in years and it had switched to an Xbox exclusive 😂 strange times for an awesome game, none have been like it since. The high G physics hit different in AC6. And the RTS meta of ordering hundreds of planes and ships and tanks to shoot at your target. That was raaaad

It is a blessing how the list of OST spans through the years. The opening track took me back to the days when I listened to AC5 OST to get pumped up studying, now I enjoy listening to it while working, it gets me into "I'm on a mission!" mode.

You don't know how much I love you for this. This is a very good playlist for playing flying games to. I already play Ace Combat music while flying in games but to have a set playlist is nice.
Comona is probably the best song of AC4. I could use a 4 hour loop of it. Its also one of the best missions of the game. No ground targets, no slowing down to hit as many targets as possible. Just one big dogfight. Pick your target, down it and maneuver for the next.
that's cuz AC5 was amazing, so many memorable moments, from the surprise attack that led to your squadron scrambling to get into the air while bombs exploded on the runway all around, to the battle with the Scinfaxi in the Razgriz straights, to the rescue mission of edge aka wardog-2, the loss of chopper...., all the way up to the last mission where both sides start singing "the journey home" in unison as they join forces to support your squadron in saving the world amidst the media broadcasts of president harling joining hands with the yuktobanian prime minister and calling for all forces to lay down their arms and cease fighting.
Safe Return in particular. The trumpet at the beginning makes me feel almost hopeless...maybe it’s the feeling that this one little U2 aircrafts life is on your shoulders

Stop waiting for an HD port of the best trilogy of ace combat. emulate. I did 2 weeks ago and though I had to set it up (video guide helped some) it has been amazing to play ZERO again and in HD
sorry for the late reply but if you haven't played the ace combat games recently in PCSX2, I recommend it. The devs recently fixed a lot of the issues plaguing those games, most notably AC04. Explosions and clouds now render in hardware mode

I would have put Dogfight from Assault Horizon. Easily best theme of that game, so fast paced and awesome.
