Forget about talking to that crazy guy.If you are planning to move to Vancouver, the first to consider is the very high standard of living here in Vancouver.For this I don't mean only comfort.It is the average affordability of housing in the city both for rent and for purchase. Your grocery bill is not cheap either.In fact it is the highest in Canada.Public transportation cost is average compare to the rest of the country. Job opportunity is fairly good here.

This is a gorgeous video! Loved the slow moving, sweeping shots. Very meditative. It was heavy on some areas and missing almost everything east of Cambie aside from a few shots. East Van is bursting with art, history and parks. Little Italy, artist studios, queer history, Trout Lake. Vancouver is more than Kits beach and downtown, as beautiful as they are.
Proud to live in this city. There is So much more this video didn't capture, just so beautiful ❤

I was proud to leave this city. I was born here in 1960, lived there 20 years until 1980, then left for the rest of Beautiful (and sensible) British Columbia and Incredible (and stable) Alberta and never looked back. Vancouver was quite a nice city in the 60s and 70s, but I could see the writing on the wall by 1980, when most of the city embraced a bizarre social hysteria that stated that the "multitudes of Yuppie Beautiful People" were superior to all other menial human life forms. Nearly EVERYTHING that was "normal" in society was challenged as being wrong: People started driving like maniacs, car accidents went sky-high, free and easy sex was everywhere and the "beautiful yuppies" even talked in their own hyped psuedo-language, which was superior of course to all other thought processes, and they intimidated and threatened "average" people " as those "who had everything in life wrong". The city was so socially electric in those days you could feel it, see it and hear it, and if you were not part of it, you were not welcome, in fact, you were despised. As that period blew itself out by 1982, Leftism, brought to the city during the Hippy Era of the late 1960s took over, narcotics, always a problem since the 60s took over, massive immigration from Hong Kong took over and brought theTriad Gangs which took over to a point where the Provincial Gov't had to get involved to try to stop its spread from ruining in the school system, Chinese Foreign Investment took over and pushed real estate prices to the third highest in the World, and the result is the Vancouver one sees today, a northern version of San Francisco, and in some ways maybe even worse.

yea until you get your credit card bill from ping ping Xi who owns the ski hill and the beach - also drinking on the beach is illegal because its a nanny state
that's the reason why we have a highway call sea to sky. there are times in the year where you can ski in the morning and go windsurfing in the afternoon.
This video is beautiful of Vancouver , but I also must say it’s more beautiful in person to see Vancouver.

I visited Vancouver for the first time last weekend for my birthday and fell in love. I'm from Southern California and its a whlole different world compared to what I'm used to. Loved every bit of it. I cant wait to go back and explore more of Vancouver and BC

I've been in love with this city since I was 20 . Like San Fran in topography , not hilly. Best place to be reborn , begin a life again.

It's a shit hole with a glossy coat of paint on it and the only ppl that say it's great are either stupid or stupidly rich so they can afford it. This city used to be a place for all types and now it's just a haven for foreign investments, money laundering and gang violence

Я прожил в Ванкувере 25 лет. Не советую. Симпатичность очень поверхностная, не обеспеченная ни чем сушественным. Если честно, то город (и область в округ) очень посредственная. Да, природа это единственное что немного спасает. Если можно было бы вернуть время вспять, не поехал бы.
