I got accepted into U of T Medical School in the 90s. At that time 125 students got in from an application pool of ~2500. The best advice I can give to anyone wanting to go to U of T medical school is to do your undergraduate course work at a smaller university (i.e Carlton, Guelph, Trent etc) where the class sizes are smaller and you can get more one on one attention from your teachers/professors. Going to U of T (or Queen's/UWO) for undergraduate work results in much larger class sizes and intense competition as you know that many of your fellow students are also trying to get into medical school. And an "A" at a smaller school is no different than an "A" at a larger school when it comes to calculating your overall GPA. And have many extracurricular activities on your resume to make you more of a "well-rounded" applicant. GOOD LUCK
Hi Ashkan! We're making a series for all med schools so they're coming up soon! So far though, only Western and Ottawa used a wGPA. Western uses your 2 best years and Ottawa uses your 3 best years. Hope it helps!
I have a question, I’m currently in high school and thinking about going into medical school, I saw on the med school website that you need a bachelors degree so can that be in anything like history, Health science etc ?
Health and life?! Bad people for benefits, concealing or defamation regardless of insulted victims in my family and me for their ugliness shames greediness jealous hatred matters all are their mistakes consequences of their worst life and shames for their causes and consequences only!

Can I applying to medical school in Toronto if I did my undergraduate in a university different to Canada or US?
Do they consider the undergrad degree of one who has done some courses in summer to get credits in order to finish undergrad earlier
This should be fine, although it’s always best to check their guidelines.

Yes. Your bachelors can be in any field, but there are prerequisite courses you have to take in order to apply to med school.
